Is anyone else experiencing real pressure down below??
I know it's probably normal and to be expected at this stage but literally feels like the baby could fall out when I walk (I wish lol) and so uncomfortable.......I've got just under 4 weeks left I can't imagine how much worse it's going to get before baby finally arrives and God help me if I go overdue!
Sorry I don't like moaning but it's come about all of a sudden.

sunshine no advice but I've been getting occasional proper pressure below, usually when get up from sofa in bed but not constant, I'm 36+2.

Yes know that feeling sunshine just under another six weeks of it..... started getting it when she had moved further down into my pelvis

Thanks ladies. I'm sure it is all perfectly normal and I do feel baby must have dropped, I have midwife app on tues so hopefully she can confirm babies position then. Just feel it's going to be a long and exhausting 4-6 weeks at this rate! Oh the pregnancy joys!

Morning ladies. sunshine hope you are feeling a bit more comfortable today, I have been having periods of pressure too and bump just feels heavy.

Where has has the 4am club gone?! :) Hope this means you all slept well! I was a awake early again but luckily managed to drift off despite my hips being sore and got out of bed at 6:30am which is a relative lie in these days!

Well after yesterdays sweep I have had no aches or pains during the night and so woke up quite disappointed nothing had happened.....then I went to the loo and lost more of what must have been my mucus plug - quite a lot of it!! So perhaps there is still hope something might happen?!

I had my non baby shower last night at my house and it was absolutely brilliant. Of course nearly everyone other than me got drunk but I just loved celebrating this baby and having time with my friends before I disappear into sleepless nights.
Got some beautiful presents and vouchers too even though I said no presents. Took the last ones home at 12 so I'm shattered today but I'm going to get up and tidy the house before we go out as son wants to go to some Lego show today.

Apple hope you get to bottom of the back pain, is it lower back pain?

Leo is still doing great, its his weighing day today so hoping now hes properly feeding hes gained some weight back now. They say if today is like the last 2 days and remains the same, he could be coming home tommorow morning. But im kind of thinking that his jaundice levels are going to increase again to treatment level, he come off the lights again yesterday and last nights check was 6 below what they like it so I am just hoping they remain lower.

Yes to the pressure Sunshine - head is down for me and when I'm walking it is quite uncomfortable!!! Oh well, only a couple of weeks left hopefully!!

TMI but how is everyone getting on with their Perineal Massage? I seem to only manage with one hand not two like the instructions and I think I am doing it correctly but it is so hard to tell!! The joys of pregnancy eh?!

Turquoise glad you had a fun (albeit long!) evening. One of my friends was on about doing a baby shower but we might do it more like a gathering as a whole group of friends thing with the lads too.

I briefly left the 4am club this morning. We actually had a Friday out with friends, lasted til midnight and have only just woken. It's almost like being normal again (without the slight hangover feeling!).

mum pleased Leo continues to do well - hopefully he will be home soon.

kitty my sweep was fine. Male consultant did it and called a female nurse into the room for the procedure too. I didn't find it painful at all, just a bit uncomfortable. He used his other hand to press the top of bump down towards the bottom which was the most uncomfortable bit - baby kicked him for that!

Mum really pleased that Leo is doing so well, fingers crossed the jaundice doesn't increase and he is home tomorrow :) Yes, lower back pain, turns out I have a urine infection so am on antibiotics now

4am club has been 5am for me for the past two mornings bradders which feels like a lie in!! Sorry the sweep hasn't done anything yet, hopefully it will.

Kitty I haven't been doing it, suppose I should but think I will wait for the infection to clear. Is it uncomfortable?

sunshine I know what you mean, when I walk I actually feel like I am being split open a little lol I am also waddling alot cause I feel like if I open my legs she will drop out!

I am a wimp kitty I tried the massage once and it hurt so I stopped. It then dawned on me that it's going to really hurt when I head is trying to get out as opposed to my thumb haha

Hope your urine infection clears up quickly apple must not be very fun!!!

Thanks again everyone! Going to go see him at 2 today! My bff in America seemed really shocked that we couldn't go into the hospital immediately after her C section to visit and when I told her we have visiting hours and limited number of visitors she was like 'what?!?!' lol I said I would be thankful for designated visiting hours especially if I am feeling exhausted ha

kitty I've not had the guts to try the massage! Went to antenatal class last week and OH came out saying 'I didn't hear much after 2nd degree perineal tear' so I should probably think about giving it a go!

Turns out leo has had a secondary weight loss, not a full ounce but because hes dropped again rather than gained, doesnt look like he will be coming home just yet. So shocked because hes feeding brilliant and he looked to have gained abit back.

apple I wouldn't say a P Massage is uncomfortable as such but an awkward thing to do and I can 'feel' it iyswim? I've been doing it for about a month and think I can feel a difference but could be imagining it! Maybe it stung a bit the first time I tried it but certainly not since. Bet I get a 2nd degree year anyway Scottish

How's your wee nephew doing Leanne??

DH and I have had a constructive day. We've really really been struggling to agree on a girls name (boys name has been sorted for ages!) but we've finally come up with a "short" list of 7 names and will decide once it's born, if it's a girl.
It's a total mixed bag and I have no idea which way it will go at all now - think we are going to just see what she "looks like".
Is anyone else doing this or is it strange?

mum sorry to hear Leo isn't coming home just yet, hope he is back home with you and your family very soon..

Hope everyone else is ok...

He come off his lights again yesterday as his level was way below what they like it to be after another 2 days treatment, but he had his bloods done last night again and they had gone up 6 since the last test, still below the level but just hope it doesnt continue to keep going up. At lunch time the doctor has said if he continues to do well with feeds and jaundice stays below treatment level he would be happy for him to come home tommorow and just have midwife monitor his weight. So again, fingers crossed.
