leanne hope everything turns out ok with SiL and baby.

just pleased you'll have carpet fitted and can get on with finishing touches! :)

I had consultant appointment this morning at hospital - took my little book in with the results of the blood glucose tests they have had me doing 4 times a day since Monday. All ok on that front, readings are good and nothing to indicate gestational diabetes - however he wants me to continue doing the tests which seems a bit odd!......however I have taken this as licence to eat jaffa cakes!! :)

He did say baby is big an he is reluctant to let me go over as baby may get stuck in pelvis etc and so he has performed a sweep today - a little uncomfortable but nothing painful if any other FTM's need one like me. He said my cervix is still quite high but soft and already 2cm. Also commented baby has lots of hair! A mop head like me!! :)

Booked in for another sweep on Tuesday and induction on 1st May is nothing happens before then!!!

Ooh bradders how exciting - your LO will be here soon! Glad to hear sweep wasn't that bad. I went with my sis to get hers with her 2nd. She was like it's fine to stay - it's just like a smear. It didn't look like any smear I've had! Her face was contorted in pain! Did the job tho!

leanne sorry your SIL isn't going to give birth where she wanted. Quite late for them to say femur length is short now. I'm assuming she was measuring average before this?

That's very exciting bradders pleased the tests came back all ok. Hope the sweeps help u along.

bradders Oooh exciting times baby will be here soon!! My sweep with my dd was the same I was already 2cm when they did it that afternnon, labour started the next morning at 5am so hope you have the same quick result I did!

She had a second scan today and the arms and legs are measuring small! She is having a c section at 5 today! The doctors are still saying everything could be ok! was the growth detected at your 20 week scan bazza cause at her 20 week scan everything was normal!

Yes leanne it was detected at 20 week scan, and all scans since have shown a potential problem. If your sil's 20 week was okay and nothing found since, then I'm sure everything is fine. Babies get their limbs in such awkward positions that it's hard to measure, so it's easy to get measurements a bit wrong. Good luck to her for today!

just picking up my prescription, urine infection confirmed. Not entirely happy about being on antobiotics but credit to the doctor, he caled the microbiology consultant at the hospital to ensure thay what they were giving me was the correct dosage and fine for pregnant women

I haven't had much in the way of twinges but (sorry if tmi) I have had stringy/snotty thing on wiping which was a red colour and some in pad. Consultant said this could happen - is this my plug or part of it or just to be expected after a sweep?

Apple pleased you have the correct medication to sort your infection out, hopefully it will soon be gone!

bradders that's exactly what happened to me, it was my show and sounds like it's yours too! My contractions started 2 hours after that so keep an eye on things but I think you will be having a baby by the end of the weekend!!

just exciting about the carpet! I can't wait to start doing nursery once walls have been re skimmed etc. oh and thanks for the fb add!

Was really impressed my asda order was ready earlier than expected so collected that this afternoon :)

Hey everyone!! My nephew is absolutely perfect!!!! Brother just rang and said c section went well and he was born perfectly in proportion at 5lb 15!! I cried so many happy tears :) so happy!!!!!
