Thanks kyz - FIL is loads better, came back to ours Sunday evening, and commented today how much better he's feeling - hurrah!

Chookford · 15/04/2015 07:53

aberjen that's great news about FIL, must be such a relief!

I've been awake again since 4am... I'm really hoping once baby is here I do resume some sort of normal sleep pattern eventually! Smile

longestlurkerever · 15/04/2015 08:06

Hello

tits is today the day? Or Friday?.

Gosh, time has slowed right down now. 33 weeks + 4. 3 and w half weeks till mat leave though, although v worried about everything I should have achieved by then and won't. Baby keeps getting into a bit of an uncomfy position too. Ah well!

Took pram to mamas and Pappas. They were going to do a full service and repair for 50 quid which seemed worth it but they rang yesterday to say they couldn't repair it because the seat had been glued on! I said no it hasn't, that was wd 40 I had been using to try and dislodge it. I am now waiting for another call back. Hoping I don't suddenly have to buy a whole new pram.

Spoke to next door neighbour who is also happy to have dd if it's not over the long weekend when they're away so feeling a bit calmer.

Scottish jaw sounds like it could be related to the hormones that loosen all your ligaments up ready for the birth.

longestlurkerever · 15/04/2015 08:07

aberjen great news.

d0ttyne11 · 15/04/2015 08:39

aberjen very good news re your FIL. That's a step in the right direction for sure.

Tits - hope all's gone well for you this time round.

Chookford i've been the same with terrible lack of sleep after 3 nights of being awake for at least 2.5hrs I had a bath before going to bed last night and it did help me sleep longer. Thank goodness.

Chookford · 15/04/2015 08:40

Oooh yes it is today isn't it tits?? Good luck if it is!!!

Turquoisetamborine · 15/04/2015 09:05

Good luck to those being induced/sections today. That'll be me this time next week.
abejen I'm really glad your FIL is pulling round. A weight off your mind when you're heavily pregnant.
longest glad you have found another childcare option. Relief for you too.
kyz good your Moses basket came and you're sorted with the crib. My bednest is being delivered today at some point.
I have an appointment with my consultant and another growth scan today. I'm hoping he is going to be over 6lb for my section on Wednesday. I just think 6lb sounds like a half decent weight.
My sister in law has done a few games for my non baby shower on Friday and H has said he wants to do all the food so I'm a bit less stressed about that. I haven't got any decorations yet but may pop out for a few bits for that later. I'm not really one for having parties but my mam wanted me to have this as it took us over three years to get pregnant and she said it was worth celebrating but she's ill now of course so won't even be here. She's doing ok though. Her husband goes away on business for two weeks on Thursday so that is really stressing me out as I keep thinking something will happen overnight but my brother lives at home so hopefully he would hear.
Sorry I'm rambling! Enjoy the weather those lucky enough to have it. Overcast here.

Justyouwaitandsee · 15/04/2015 09:27

Turquoise - you should be able to give an alternative contact number to the hospital, eg. Your mobile? In case they need to reach you.

Good luck to everyone heading in for inductions!

Turquoisetamborine · 15/04/2015 10:11

She's at home now Just. I'd feel better if she was still in hospital.

Turquoisetamborine · 15/04/2015 10:13

Oh my God, I'm here at the hospital for a scan and one woman has literally brought her partner, mother, grandma, dad and three children! Is there any need??

Chookford · 15/04/2015 10:17

Haha turquoise I always think that, my hospital state only one other adult can be present for a scan and I see women waiting for scans with 4/5 people in tow!

Hope you have a lovely baby shower on Friday!

It's hot here already!!! I'm uncomfortable!!!

applecore0317 · 15/04/2015 11:01

Hope they manage to fix it longest

Lol haven't seen that at my hospital but the waiting room for scans is the same waiting room for x rays so wouldn't notice.

I am waiting for my internal scan, urine sample shows up white cells so possible infection. get the results on Friday.

Still full of cold and really want to be in bed asleep

mumxof3x · 15/04/2015 11:29

Hi all,

Been ages since I caught up on here. But for anybody that isnt on the facebook group, just thought I would update.

Baby leo was born on saturday the 11th at 1.01pm 34 and half weeks gestation. Labour was spontanious and he weighed in at a decent 5ib 15oz. Hes still in scbu, but improving, feeding just needs establishing now. Hes dropped down to 5ib 2oz.

I will post my birth story later on for anybody that wants to hear :)

Hope everyone is well xx

Chookford · 15/04/2015 11:59

mum wow... Massive congrats on Leo's birth!! More scrummy babies arriving, hope it's not too long before he is home with you and the rest of the family..

bradders85 · 15/04/2015 12:08

longestlurkerever · 15/04/2015 13:45

xx

Bazza2 · 15/04/2015 13:55

Wow mum congratulations! I'm going to have to join the Facebook group now so I can keep up with these things.

Jenni2legs · 15/04/2015 14:31

Well done mum hope you get to take him home soon, cool name too! Grin

Bazza2 · 15/04/2015 15:09

Has anyone got any experience of breech babies and ECV? I've been having tons of extra scans because of worries with baby's growth (he is measuring rather small - enough for them to be concerned about possible achondroplasia) and at all these extra scans he has been breech. They told me today that I'm to go in again in two weeks, when I'll be 36+1, and that at that point if he hasn't moved we will talk about ECV.

LinaDee · 15/04/2015 15:33

Bazaa my sister and I were both sent for ECVs within days of each other 3 years ago - hers went ahead and was successful. Mine was cancelled as baby turned on her own.

This is gonna sound crazy but in all seriousness seemed to work for me. Sit with a hot water bottle at the bottom of your bump and some frozen peas (or something similar at the top) I did this for about 20 mins each day before my ECV and it worked!
The theory is that baby will not want his or her head to be cold and will be attracted to the heat down the way created by the hot water bottle Wink

LinaDee · 15/04/2015 15:35

Also if you are only 34 weeks just now - there is plenty of time for baby to turn on it own!
I believe they will do ECVs upto 37 weeks so try not to worry just yet x

catnip85 · 15/04/2015 15:54

Congratulations mum glad Leo is doing well and is getting the care he needs.

turquoise five major bleeds Shock? I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Respect. Hope your scan went well too.

apple fingers crossed yr results come back clear.

I'm also in the no sleep club. Baby seems to have her feet wedged firmly under my ribs and its becoming v uncomfortable. Plus the heartburn is relentless. Still, I'm enjoying this maternity leave malarkey!

cuphat · 15/04/2015 16:16

Bazza, posted on the other thread too. They discovered DD was breech at 38 weeks (I think she had been all along). After much research I refused the ecv and went for a section. There were too many risks with the ecv and the success rate wasn't very good at all. I'm glad I did as I had a very positive experience with the section and DD was massive so there's no way she would have turned anyway. The only ecv date they could offer me was at 39+6 but it was still an option!

cuphat · 15/04/2015 16:18

Congratulations mum!

KittyVonCatsington · 15/04/2015 16:51

Afternoon ladies!

mumx You are doing so well since the arrival of little Leo-sending good wishes that he gets stronger by the day Grin

Chookford Totally agree re: the sleep thing although am resigning myself to poor sleep patterns for the next 18 years!!

Sorry to hear you have an infection apple - hope it clears up soon xx

Fingers Crossednfor the growth scan Turquoise!! I agree about those who bring lots and lots of people to scans/appointments as I get frustrated hey take up all the seating usually leaving poor pregnant ladies standing

Angry

Yay for ticking things off your list Kyz- it feels good doesn't it!?

Good tip Lina - thankfully Kitlet's head is down but she is lying in an L shape still so not sure what to expect!

Got my hair cut today-figured it would be the last time for ages Smile
