awww plinky she is gorgeous :) hope you get her home soon

Sorry you're stuck at the hospital tori hope your friend is ok. Is you bump tight or just sore? I get pains when she shoves both feet in one place and it goes all hard

plinkyplonks · 02/04/2015 14:16

leanne963 - Thank you! We can't wait :) She was over 5lbs for the first time on her weigh in too :D We just hope the progress continues and she will be well enough to come home soon. We are just trying to use the extra time to sort the house out and make it baby safe :)

KittyVonCatsington - Leaky boobs all the way! Not so fun to wake up in a milky wet patch because I'd subconsciously unclipped my bra during the night :D

plinkyplonks · 02/04/2015 14:29

applecore0317 Thank you :) Just seen your post about cervix shortening :/ I hope your baby stays put until term and glad you managed to avoid a stitch :)

ToriB34 Oh no, I hope your friend's operation goes OK :( Is there a cafe in the hospital to save you waiting around on the wards? Not sure on the painful spot, might be worthwhile popping around to the day assessment unit to see if any of the midwives can give you an answer as you're in the hospital anyway? x

tori i can't remember who it was but i have seen around the general forum people complaining of the top of their bump being a bit tender so it may be common! But if it lasts def speak to your midwife! Hope your friend's operation is going/went ok!! x

Chookford · 02/04/2015 16:17

plinky she is beautiful, bet you can't wait until she is home with you x

Turquoisetamborine · 02/04/2015 16:28

Tori, I've got a recurring pain in my side at the top of my bump and I've been told it's my ribs as the baby is trying to push them out to make more room. Could this be it? If it's round the back it could be your kidney? Hope you get out of hospital soon anyway.
Plinky, glad she is doing well and her weight is going up. Make the most of the time getting the house sorted as you'll have no time for that soon!
We are enjoying beautiful sunny harrogate. Such an idyllic place. It's cloudy at home apparently but sunny here.

Blondie87 · 02/04/2015 17:16

Plinky she is lovely! Fingers crossed she'll be home soon; great about the weight gain.

Turquoise I'm glad you are enjoying Harrogate- I live 20mins away and still love days just strolling round.

The sun has been fab! Finally got some vit D- been sat in the garden all day!
Tori maybe you've pulled a ligament or something.

Bazza2 · 02/04/2015 17:27

plinky she is lovely. I'm not on the fb group so it's nice to see her.

What do you all think of the name Angus? I like it as a name but we are not Scottish so I wonder if it's a bit odd.

Titsalinabumsquash · 02/04/2015 17:38

I have been the worlds crappiest mother today, I didn't sleep from 2am until 3.30 pm this afternoon when I just kind of passed out, I couldn't do anymore. BlushSad
I have been shouty, unreasonable and useless, my poor kids! They've survived today with pasta salad from the fridge I made yesterday, cereal, crumpets and tv and juice/water made by the older 2.
I've sent to bigger 2 outside now to play football until DP gets home and the toddler is cuddled up with me looking at a book, I've made a coffee and crawled back to the sofa. I'm miserable and exhausted. Sad

P.S - I like the name Angus Smile

Bazza Angus is on our list too but we both have very Scottish names. I love it sounds strong and dependable I think!

I hope everyone enjoys the long Easter weekend mine involves a lot of food which pleases me! Wink

SmileyScooby · 02/04/2015 19:03

aberjen on Netflix they have got an american version of the returned haven't watched yet as new episode added each week so waiting. I enjoyed first couple of French version but then missed the others.

Turquoise We liked American Horror Story - first 4 seasons on Netflix.

Tits we also like Shield and Gotham - did you watch Heroes when it was on before? If not that is on Netflix. Hope you can get some decent sleep tonight

Leanne I also loved True Blood

Cuphat agree re Lost, but must admit was bit let down by ending.

Kitty hope boob is less sore today, so far I haven't had any leaking (dunno if that's good or bad?)

Plinky she's gorgeous!! Hope you can all be together at home soon

I've got vampire diaries (which started watching couple years ago but hubby got bored so didn't see past season 3. The 4400 I'm going to re watch I think. I've also got some films I want to watch on Netflix but hubby doesn't plus looking forward to watching (and singing along) to Disney films and general girly films. Yes I have weird taste in films - sort of like everything!!! I wasn't really into OTH, I was more Dawsons Creek :)

Angus is a great name :)

Had my first NCT class, lady that does the class was very knowledgeable about our local hospital and found the first one interesting :)

tits hope you sleep better tonight

tori sorry DH is being an ass but glad you finally got home from the hospital

piglet81 · 03/04/2015 08:55

I like Angus too. We're not Scottish but have a Scottish surname, so it would be a bit much for us, i think ??

Happy long weekend to everyone! Only two more weeks until maternity leave for me. We've got a busy day of decorating and sorting out the house planned, including switching around the spare rooms so the baby can have the bigger one. Got home last night to find my lovely husband had already moved the beds single-handed - still not sure how he managed that but it's brilliant as I was not looking forward to the task at all!

Take care everyone Smile

LinaDee · 03/04/2015 10:49

Morning everyone

I know I've posted briefly about this before but I'm at my wits end and don't know what to do.
I'm having thrush symptoms again, for about the 5th time this pregnancy. Last time my midwife asked me to do a swab and hand it in to my GP. I did this and phoned roughly 7 times over 2 weeks and was told every time that the results weren't back yet. I got so uncomfortable, I gave in and just went and bought the canestan cream from tesco (so bloody expensive). I never phoned back about the result and I know I should have but the cream cleared it up so I was comfortable again and quite honestly forgot about it.

Anyways it's back. I tried to phone GP this morning for an appointment or even just a prescription but of course, being Good Friday they are closed!
I'm so sick of forking out the money for this stuff and given that it's been happening so often, I don't even know if it's safe for the baby if I treat myself AGAIN!
Should I phone NHS 24 for advice or just do it? The burning/itching is unbearable!

plinkyplonks · 03/04/2015 10:57

LinaDee - Do you have a participating Boots store near you? www.boots.com/en/Pharmacy-Health/Health-pharmacy-services/Pharmacy-services-support/I-need-more-information/Minor-ailments-service-NHS/

Scottishgal78 · 03/04/2015 10:58

Lina I would phone NHS24 to check but tbh I think a Dr would just prescribe what you're going to buy anyway. Did you suffer much with thrush before being pregnant?

applecore0317 · 03/04/2015 11:04

Do you havr out of hours doctors that could do you a prescription? Boots refused to sell me canestan because I was pregnant and said I would have to get it from a doctor.

Cool salt water baths are good to ease the itching, also paracetemol and stay underwear free for the day and just wear a long dress or skirt if you have one or chill in your dressing gown and a nighty

applecore0317 · 03/04/2015 11:05

by cool I actually meant luke warm baths

Cockbollocks · 03/04/2015 11:31

Morning all. I like Angus!!

Have woken up today with awful stomach cramps and a bit of diarrhoea ?? tmi!!!

Feel so rubbish and cannot get comfy.
