Morning all! Good luck to apple, chook and anyone else with appointments/scans today. I saw the midwife yesterday and she reckons baby is breech at the moment but said not to worry just yet as there's still time for him to turn. Sounds like I need to do lots of crawling around on hands and knees to encourage him!

Bit breathless here too - basically feeling very unfit, and putting my shoes on has become a bit of an effort! 34+6 today and only 9 more days in work (yikes!). It's going so quickly now...

Have been washing all the little clothes and stuff we've been given; even DH (not usually a sentimental man) got a bit gooey at the sight of the teeny vests etc. Smile

Good morning ladies Smile

Good luck on scans/consultant visits today, I have used my hour of time
I get before I hurt too much to clean my fridge out and load the dishwasher, rock and roll Grin

My breathing has been ok this time but I am overheating like crazy every now and again, it's blowing a hoolie here but the sky is still lovely cornflour blue
So I've got the windows open, the poor kids are all wrapped up in jumpers while I'm in a vest and leggins! Grin

My car is in the garage today to find out how much it's going to hurt the bank to get it through the mot. Confused

Lina, weirdly my baby bump app is all about difficulty breathing today so it looks like it's really common! The weight of the baby on the diaphragm is the cause. Not very nice but at least we know it's normal. Have been struggling with this for a couple of weeks and sometimes brings on palpitations in me xx

aberjen · 31/03/2015 12:17

I have the breathing thing too. Every now and then I'll sort of take an extra big breath, a bit like a gasp, I must be driving my colleagues nuts! For me, it def just feels like my lungs are being squashed so I need to put in a bit more effort to fill them properly iyswim. I remember this from last time around so it's not been worrying me.

Good luck apple and chook.

34 weeks tomorrow, mw appointment on Thurs. All getting a bit close and real!!

DP much better today after getting antibiotics yesterday - phew!

Chookford · 31/03/2015 13:09

Thanks ladies, baby is all fine and growing normally but is still breech... He did say not to worry at this stage as there is still time to turn so my next next scan in 4wks will hopefully show the little monkey is playing ball! Baby weighs 4lb 5 at the moment which is average apparently! Head is measuring on the large side though but he said this is common in breech babies once they turn the measurements even out... God I hope so or otherwise that fat head will cause some damage!! Blush

applecore0317 · 31/03/2015 13:45

Glad the scan went well Chook had to laugh at the big head comment Grin

applecore0317 · 31/03/2015 15:46

Have just freaked myself out, was looking at a tape measure and looked at where 10cm sits on the measure Shock

Pleased your car passed mot titssuch a relief when you don't have a big outlay!! My car insurance due in April so i'm shopping around for best price as I like to get it paid in one go!

Chook pleased your appointment went well and like you say still time for baby to rotate! :)

I have just been getting baby clothes ready for hospital bag - not sure of sizes as been told baby won't be tiny and I am measuring big so was thinking of packing Next upto 1 month size which is about 10lbs apparently! Saw a good idea online where someone had packed outfits in little freezer zip bags so I am doing that so can pull everything you need out of bag in one go, vest, sleepsuit, hat etc.

2 days to go in work......I have been getting really tired recently and can barely keep my eyes open past 8:30pm so I am ready to finish! 35+5 today.

Yes your right Tori rather a little big (hopefully!!) then too small!

Scottishgal78 · 31/03/2015 19:43

Yeah apple was talking to OH about this the other day and when I thought about exactly how small 10cm is I was shocked!

applecore0317 · 31/03/2015 20:02

I just couldn't believe it, total reality check ha ha

bradders thats a great idea. My Mum does similar with outfits when she goes away so she has her outfit planned for each evening, random but stops her overpacking

Glad the car passed its MOT tits

Hope you get the extra scan tori and that the measurements are over estimating

Got a black maxi dress from.sainsburys tonight, they've got 25% off of all their clothing at the moment so it only cost £12 :) figured that maxi dresses would be good for before an after the birth

anyone's bump looking lower? mine seems to be and sticking out way more

Turquoisetamborine · 01/04/2015 05:23

apple what an organised mum you have!
I had the most horrendous indigestion last night. You know when you feel like your food is just sitting and not going down. I think the baby has decided he will take up all the room in my stomach!
Still, don't like to complain as things are looking good. The baby is moving lots and seems happy and went to see mam today and she was quiet but so much better. I got a text from her the other day! It was jumbled but readable. Was so happy.
We are off to harrogate for two nights from today so I'm hoping to get back to sleep.
chook hope baby turns, still time to do it!
bradders hope the next two days pass quickly for you, must be exhausting being at work.
anerjen glad your dp is better.

The breathlessness I'm used to anyway with having asthma. My oxygen readings can be very low when I go for my lung capacity checks depending on the time of year. I just take my inhaler.

gingerfluffball · 01/04/2015 06:07

apple same with the indigestion. So uncomfortable, am reacquainting myself with the Gaviscon! Really glad to hear your mum is improving, must've been lovely to get that text Smile

gingerfluffball · 01/04/2015 06:08

Whoops, not apple - turquoise! Blame the baby brain and the terrible MN app Confused

applecore0317 · 01/04/2015 07:01

So pleased that she is improving turquoise hope you have a lovely few days away and some well deserved rest!

Indigestion wise I literally live on Orange Rennies. Wouldn't be without them.

Got the health visitor coming this morning to introduce herself and go over what to expect or something similar. Anyone else had this yet?

Being weary of facebook posts this morning and trying not to accuse everyone of April Fools :D

bradders85 · 01/04/2015 07:03

Pleased you mum is improving turquoise and enjoy Harrogate! :)

Chookford · 01/04/2015 07:32

turquoise Glad to hear your mum is improving, that's great news...

apple I had the HV visit a few weeks ago, all the tell you is about the support groups available to you, and information on breastfeeding, post natal depression etc mine was in and out within 30mins but I'm not a first time mum so they may go into more detail if you are!

applecore0317 · 01/04/2015 07:44

Thanks chook I need her in and out in 30 mins, have my hospital appointment at 9.50 lol

Scottishgal78 · 01/04/2015 07:47

Aw turquoise glad to hear your mum's improving.

apple I'm going to have a look at maxi dresses too. I remember when my sister had her first in Feb I had to scour the shops for maxi dresses/skirts on the recommendation of her mw! Better for healing apparently and just more comfortable.

Don't know where it came from but I had the most awesome sleep last night. Asleep just after 9 and up once for the loo. Couldn't believe it when my alarm went off at 6.30! Then I started to panic that I couldn't feel him because he usually has me up well before my alarm. Had some water and he's moving away! Feelike a different woman!

applecore0317 · 01/04/2015 08:34

Have to say Scottish I am extremely jealous! :)

applecore0317 · 01/04/2015 08:45

She's still not here and I really need to leave at nine for my appointment cause of parking.... Confused
