Smiley there's a nice one just been posted on the FB group by kitty I think. It's from amazon and it's a lovely pink nightie. Hope your little guy moves soon and stops causing you such pain! I'm not buying bottles or sterilisers as I hope bf will go as smoothly as it did last time. I'll give a bottle from a few weeks and will probably buy Tommee Tippee closer to nature ones again as there's a factory shop that does them near me cheaply and I liked them last time.
Just hope the radiator is sorted. We are putting a lot on our H's at the Moment but not much we can do. Soon we will have our bodies back but will have babies to look after then so still won't be much help.
Jenni that's nice that you're moving back to be near your family. Depending on where you'll be moving to there's loads of babies being born up here so loads of groups going on etc. I used to go to some lovely groups in Gosforth.
Leanne I would move if I was you. It can be very lonely having a small baby and you'll find your friends and family invaluable.
Tori my mam is slowly improving. Had a lumbar puncture today though so in pain today but hope tomorrow is better.

I overdid it today as we had to hang around town for ages for mil but in the end she couldn't be bothered to get the 5 minute free bus into town to meet us so we called her bluff and refused to go to her restaurant of choice 50yds from her house and ate out on our own! It was a much better meal without her moaning on.
Leanne yes we have talked about our wonderful MILs before. Mine is truly a one off in terms of selfishness. She doesn't really bother me anymore though. Even DS doesn't want to see her.

Turquoisetamborine · 29/03/2015 21:24

Tori I didn't buy any specific breastfeeding clothes. Just did as you said and put a vest under a normal top to feed in and covered any gap with a muslin

applecore0317 · 29/03/2015 21:58

I got some of my old primark vest topa out, cut the straps at the front and sewed poppers to them. Thought it was a genius idea, used the plastic poppers, so easy to do up... but to undo they are an utter b*tch LOL

Titsalinabumsquash · 30/03/2015 11:01

Thanks for the kind messages yesterday, I'm alright today I just get incredibly annoyed with the position dp's work put him in, they take on these huge projects for him, they refuse to to get enough staff to cover it so he ends up working weeks of overtime during the night and weekends, he doesn't get paid overtime but he does get bonus every3 months if the projects are completed.

14 days to go here, I'm slightly scared now! Shock

Hi all, just a quick update. Have been discharged now and on strict bed rest. Looks like he's decided to stay put for now thank goodness. Thanks for all your kind messages. Will catch up on all your news when I've had some much needed sleep! xx

Blondie87 · 30/03/2015 12:00

Shiny that's great to hear he's baking a bit longer. Sleep and rest!
Turquoise very pleased that there has been some progress with your mum. Fingers crossed it carries on in that direction.
Apple that does sound genius! Although I remember those body suits that were very in in the 90s and the poppers were such a pain everytime you needed the loo haha

Off shopping for my hospital bag now- making the most of the Easter break!

Chookford · 30/03/2015 13:17

shiny that's fan news, let's hope he stays that way for a few more weeks

turquoise glad to hear your mum is making progress.. Must be a relief, hope your bleeding is still behaving!

tits wow that is so close now! So exciting, hope your dp work sort themselves out soon though!

applecore0317 · 30/03/2015 13:53

Tits glad that you are feeling better today

Turquoise hope your Mum continues to Improve

Shiny that's good news, hope you are properly resting :)

Blondie ha ha I remember those things! I may have to come up with another solution, determined to think of something!

Sunshinesaz86 · 30/03/2015 14:48

shiny pleased you're home and LO is staying where he is for now. Do rest up!

tits two weeks is crazy! Cannot believe it so close for u. I've still got 6 1/2 weeks that's if I don't go over, feels like forever.

turquoise and leanne sorry u both have difficult MIL's, I'm quite lucky with mine always offering to help but not too much which is a nice balance.

So my Aunty who was a midwife for over 20 years but now retired palpated me yesterday and isn't worried about babies size she also said heads down and 'fixed' in pelvis so seems like baby is where it should be, the last two different midwives I've seen have both not bothered to tell me how babies lying despite asking both times! Both responded 'we don't worry about that at this stage' great!

Enjoying being off work now had a semi productive day sorting a few drawers and just made some carrot and orange soup! Mmm! Now watching game of thrones! Grin

aberjen · 30/03/2015 15:09

Still catching up, got as far as Plinkys story and shed a little tear - what a time of it you've had! Keeping everything crossed that it's all onwards and upwards from here on out.

aberjen · 30/03/2015 15:15

smiley I had sainbos maternity pads last time and found them fine, although I didn't bleed that much compared with some people (mine was mostly like a heavy period).

I found their breast pads rubbish though - they would bunch up and I'd end up leaking milk on my clothes. I found Boots slim breast pads great last time - Lansinoh were a little better but not enough to me to justify the cost vs Boots own Smile

aberjen · 30/03/2015 15:32

shiny glad to hear bump is staying put for now - fingers crossed for you!

tits glad you're having a better day.

Have had a pretty crap weekend. DP was ill all weekend, ended up going to out of hours on Sat evening, and then back at doc this morning - no-one's quite sure what's wrong, currently could be gastroenteritis, UTI, kidney stones, problem with his liver or 'something else'. So feeling worried Sad And DD's last lot of molars are coming through plus the clock change threw her routine off - she ended up having lunch at 3.30 on Sunday! Was very glad to come to work today for a bit of R&R, except it's my last week and things are crazy here too. Also made me feel quite vulnerable as we have no family and few good friends close by. Time for some proper contingency planning I think.

KittyVonCatsington · 30/03/2015 19:02

So pleased to hear your news shiny!!

aberjen Sounds rough. You're looking after everyone so hope you get to be looked after soon!

Hey everyone,

Is anyone feeling breathless - like you're not getting enough air in your lungs. I'm struggling with it tonight and feeling a bit rubbish. I'm not exerting myself in anyway, I've been sitting watching a film with my sis. Just feel like in not getting enough air in at all. Bump is quite low so I don't think it's that

Chookford · 30/03/2015 22:46

lina yes I get it all the time.... It's not pleasant is it?! Mine is usually helped by laying on my side...

applecore0317 · 30/03/2015 23:21

I get it too, put it down to my iron being low, but also the bigger the baby gets the more squashed your diaphragm is, which will affect your breathing

LinaDee · 30/03/2015 23:22

Its horrible. I struggled to stay calm about it for a few minutes there.
Don't think being tired is helping, mind you. Feels like I have to remind myself to keep breathing

Scottishgal78 · 31/03/2015 06:02

Yes Lina. I notice it most when I'm reading aloud to my class!

applecore0317 · 31/03/2015 07:08

It's not nice, had it last night when going upstairs at home... one small lot of stairs. Made me feel very unfit and sometimes I just get it when I'm sat in a particular position. It will ease off once the baby becomes engaged and your bump starts to drop lina or so I have been told :)

ooh 32 weeks tomorrow, and my consultant appointment Grin amazing how I can be happy about an internal scan... lol

LinaDee · 31/03/2015 07:14

Good luck with the appointment/scan apple!
Funny how each wee appointment makes us feel closer and closer to getting our babies here!

Woke up feeling much better this morning.
Scottish - I find mine worse when teaching too (particularly giving instructions at the start!). I've started keeping the windows at the back open and talking from there for a bit if extra air - makes no difference. Only 5 weeks to go for me!

Chookford · 31/03/2015 09:17

It will ease off lina as bump drops..

I have a growth scan this morning , (32+2) interesting to see if this baby has turned yet, I'm so hoping it has! Smile

Sunshinesaz86 · 31/03/2015 09:25

Good luck at your scan chook hope baby is playing ball.

Good luck for yours too apple let is know how it goes.

lina I've been pretty breathless from about half way through just put it down to the extra weight not easy when working etc! Only 5 weeks, that's exciting! 6 for me then hopefully our breathing and other pregnancy ailments will disappear and we will have swapped them for painful boobs and fanjo's and sleepless nights instead! Wink

applecore0317 · 31/03/2015 09:55

Good Luck Chook

Glad you are feeling better this morning Lina

Thanks Sunshine :)

I feel like I have doubled in size overnight, having a day where I feel enormous, don't like my clothes and want to go home and put my pyjamas on and feel sorry for myself Hmm bump feels heavy too, roll on the four day weekend!
