stinkers the urbo 2 is £499 for the pushchair on its own at mothercare and several other baby shops. Once you add on the parasol, car seat and isofix base I think it will amount to around the £800 that you have seen where you live.

Stinkersmum · 15/05/2015 21:43

Ooh, thanks Super!!! :). I guess we'll go ahead then. Well, not quite yet. Too early for my liking but I'm rather relieved that we've made a choice. I was getting in a bit of a tizzy about it all. Blush

batfish · 16/05/2015 10:32

stinkers def get in the UK if you can - if anything like here then you will for sure be paying loads more than in the UK for that stuff. And if you buy from a participating retailer and bring it back on the plane with you then you can clam the tax back in the airport, bonus! When we bought in the UK though a lot of places didn't have stock immediately so if you are just going back for a week or something then best to pre-order so you can bring it back with you.

Stinkersmum · 16/05/2015 18:23

Batfish I'm going back to the UK to havev the baby so don't really have tight timescales. Thanks for the tip!

mountainofdreams · 16/05/2015 20:07

Hi ladies! Feel like I haven't contributed to this in awhile?
How is everyone getting on?
I had my twenty week scan yesterday, everything ok and they confirmedit's a girl.
We already knew as I had a scan about three weeks ago.
Started looking at cute frilly socks and bloomers!
Going to the baby show in the NEC tomorrow, anyone else going to baby fairs or expos? Smile
Also how is everyones bump coming along?
Mine is getting a little bigger but I could still pass for not pregnant and still in size 8, I'm sure that will be short lived!

Toast85 · 16/05/2015 22:03

Hi all,
Tried to buy some maternity clothes today and failed miserably! Despite being in a largish city, hardly any shops stock their maternity ranges in store and so I was limited to one shop which I felt was too pricey for basic tshirts, vests etc, or one which only had tiny or huge sizes in stock of anything I liked!

But, after a week or so of being very unsure whether I could feel movements or whether it is just wind, I am now convinced I felt proper baby movement today! Three big wiggles that I could even feel with my hand resting on my tummy, and a few of the other fluttery feelings that I wasn't too sure about before, but seemed a bit stronger today. Made my day! Grin

Hope everyone is hyacinth a good weekend.

Ah Toast, that's fab :)

lalalemon · 17/05/2015 20:44

Had midwife appointment on Friday, all was fine, she told me that I'm rhesus negative and I'll be having an injection at 28 weeks and possibly another one when baby is born depending on babies blood group. Anyone else had this? She explained it all brilliantly in a way that really reassured us. Think if I'd read the NHS page about it first I'd have had a right old panic!

Also only 2 weeks til 20 week scan, madness that I'm almost at the halfway mark! We've decided not to find out the gender, OH going to find out first when Spud is here and tell me what we have!

Ladypug · 17/05/2015 21:00

Hi Lala,

I'm also rhesus negative, not thrilled about it as hate needles and she said I would need the injection and extra blood tests but nevermind. Our scan is also just over two weeks away too so we're on a similar path! X

batfish · 18/05/2015 08:47

lala I am rhesus neg too - nobody has mentioned the injection yet but guess they will do soon - they seem to keep us a bit less informed here unless we ask - appts are every month so I imagine at one of them they will go oh here you to you're having an injection today! My sister is a nearly qualified midwife and was horrified that they just do blood tests on me without telling me why Shock

Nutellalover14 · 18/05/2015 10:29

Lala am also Rhesus Negative. Lucky needles don't bother me, at first i was little worried as i didn't know anything about it. However ive spoken to others and read up about it and am totally fine now.

Just back from my 16 week appointment, and heard the baby's heartbeat, really strong, kinda sounded like a horse galloping Smile Still just over 3 weeks til my 20 week scan. Smile

gingerbreadmam · 18/05/2015 11:22

my 20wk scan is 2 weeks on wednesday Grin cant wait. we are finding out the sex then i will be able to really start shopping.

dancewiththetreedoug · 18/05/2015 11:38

3 weeks and 3 days until my 20 week scan, time is going so slow! Sad

Adventuregame · 18/05/2015 13:46

Hello to the October bus ! Ginger Batfish Ladypug and lots more !!!
So this is the first time I've managed to peak back at the bus to see what you're all up to without getting upset - officially turned a corner there I suppose ! It all sounds very exciting on here with Team Blue/Pink/Yellow, bumps and scans !

By the way during the whole mc trauma I was told I'm Rhesus Negative and had to have the injection - had it in my bum and didn't hurt at all !

So I've had my first complete cycle since mc and so we can try again now if we want, which we do, although typical me (as some of you will remember) I'm now in a different kind of panic of 'ooh that's a big decision to actually say we're trying' !! It was just left down to fate before but not getting any younger so not sure we can be that relaxed about it now ?

Hope you all realise if I do get pregnant again you have to calm me down all over again !!

Good to see you all - I miss this bus ! Better than facebook !! Lots of love and luck xxx

batfish · 18/05/2015 18:14

Ahh adventure so lovely of you to come and say hi! Really happy you are feeling a bit better Smile Good news that you can start trying again, sounds like the one good thing that has come out of the mc is that you know it is what you want. It will still be totally normal for you to have wobbles though when it happens! Keeping everything crossed that there will be congrats coming your way soon!

gingerbreadmam · 18/05/2015 18:19

hey adventure so lovely to hear from you and that you have got through your first cycle. at the point where all the excitement and anticipation starts. i was so traumatised after my mmc you do really feel in limbo about what to do for the best. i say dont think about it too much just bite the bullet. the ttc, timing things right etc prove a nice distraction to all the hurt and sadness you are probably still feeling.

i will keep everything tightly crossed for your ttc and hope some happy news comes your way very soon! Thanks

Coolchic12 · 18/05/2015 19:38

Hi ladies

It's been ages since I've posted here so I hope I'm still welcomeBlush.

It's good to read all the nice stories about scans and shopping.

Adventure it's also great to hear you are well and ready to ttc, I know how scary and panic inducing it is, but as they say you are most fertile after a mc. I conceived 2 weeks after my mc and I'm now 19+3. Fingers crossed for you and hope to see u in one of the antenatal clubs soon.

Has anyone around 19 weeks feeling definite movements. I'm anxiously waiting to feel definite kicks as I'm just feeling rumbling and flutters which I can't be certain it's baby movement. I have upper anterior placenta so not sure when I should be feeling definite kicks. My 20 week scan is next week so excited but anxious as usual!

Ladypug · 18/05/2015 20:31

Hi Adventure!

We've missed you, so lovely for you to pop in and see us all! I do hope ttc goes well, please keep popping in - it doesn't matter when you're due, our bus is your bus! xx

mountainofdreams · 18/05/2015 21:33

Hi Coolchic ! I'm in the same boat as you with an upper anterior!
I'm 20 + 4 and have not felt any definite kicks or movement just rumbles and flutters!
I had my twenty week scan last week and they said not to worry about not feeling movements and that they will come in due course! Smile
Are you finding out the sex?

Coolchic12 · 19/05/2015 08:16

Hi Mountain, thanks for sharing, I guess I'm being impatient and anxious. We found out at 16 weeks it's a girl, but I'll believe it at 20 weeks. What about you?

mountainofdreams · 19/05/2015 08:58

coolchic that's so weird! We found out at 16 + 6 it's a girl!!! It was still a girl at 20 + 1! Wink

scatterbrainedlass · 19/05/2015 09:50

Hey Adventure, great to hear from you! I'm glad all is well and your body has settled back down. Good luck with ttc, I hope it's easy (and fun!) and that this time it will all go well. Look forward to hearing updates from you :)
