Well done Lifeunexpected, that's stealthy work. I turned down a night out with my fellow mummy friends, they'd have guessed straight away and I'm only 8 weeks.

I'm also taking Pregnacare and will continue to do so for quite some time post birth, like I did with my first. The sickness and nausea have meant my diet isn't great, at least I know my body is getting the essential vitamins.

BunBunMum · 14/03/2015 07:52

Well done on the night out - thankfully I've only had a couple of work dos & I can use the driving excuse as the public transport is rubbish! I had my booking appointment on Weds and my mw asked what vitamins I was taking. I said pregnacare & she said 'ok, you should take it all the way through the pregnancy' so I guess no stopping at 12 weeks!

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 14/03/2015 07:57

MrsAR, for the FB group, pm me your details (FB url or email) and I'll add you. It's totally secret. No-one will see you've been added to it or that you post to it.

Welcome all the new faces Smile

Stinkersmum · 14/03/2015 07:58

Just marking my place. :)

Choccywoccydodah · 14/03/2015 08:23

Thanks for the new thread toast :) Just marking my place.

Have some friends here for the weekend so just nipping on while all is quiet.
Been not to bad sicky wise over the last few days but yesterday I felt ill walking around assa! First time I've been shopping since finding out and it'll be my last! I almost walked out! But with friends coming I had to go as last time they cancelled AFTER I'd been shopping! So waited until they were on their way this time (4 hours away).

Made myself sick last night and felt so much better for it. Lots of stretching etc going on this morning and I was up EVERY hour last night for a wee!!
Had a cold the last few days too so really congested, paracetamol not doing a lot. Had the same with ds this early too.

Re pregnacare, I took it throughout my whole pregnancy last time and when I was BF, plan to do the same this time too :)

Scan Tuesday so excited!
Scan looks amazing Fern!! So clear!

(7+4)

Ca55andraMortmain · 14/03/2015 08:34

Yay, found you all! Meds are continuing to work wonders here and I'm so relieved as I'm taking 60 10 year olds on school camp on Monday and the thought of doing that while feeling so rotten made me want to cry! I'm taking pregnacare as well and planning to do so throughout the pregnancy. As someone said up thread, my diet is crap at the moment, I'm basically living off spaghetti hoops, refresher sweets and almonds so I feel better knowing that bean is getting at least some vitamins!
Excited for all the people getting scans! Mine is still nearly 3 weeks away, feels like forever!

MsAR · 14/03/2015 08:49

Cassandra, I'm living off refreshers too! Nothing else does it for me at the moment! :)

Choccywoccydodah · 14/03/2015 09:09

Omg I so need refreshers in my life! :)

Toast85 · 14/03/2015 09:10

Morning all, I had a little bit of bleeding yesterday which has continued to brown (but only really noticeable when I wipe) this morning. GP yesterday afternoon said to get an appointment on Monday and they may refer me to EPU for scan etc early next week. Trying desperately hard to focus on the fact it was a v small amount and the fact that it's turned brown now means the bleeding isn't continuing, and also that when I text my mw to ask her advice she replied that spotting can be very normal and to try to relax. But I can't help feeling really scared. And typical that it happened late Friday afternoon when there's nothing that can be done to reassure me until Monday.

Choccywoccydodah · 14/03/2015 09:16

How far are you toast?
I had spotting with Ds at 8+1 for 9 days, had scan at 9+1 (we were away so had to wait til home) and all good. Spotting is quite common so please try not to worry x

AnnaBegins · 14/03/2015 09:25

Excellent stealthiness Life Grin still a fortnight to our scan tooooo, seems very long.

Ca55 you are a saint taking kids on camp!

For those taking Pregnacare I'll repeat my offer from the last thread, I've got 3/4 of a pack of Pregnacare plus now the freebie from the bounty pack going begging, I'm taking a different one now, but I will happily post for free to anyone to stop it going to waste! Was all free samples from work so no cost to me, just would rather not bin it when it's so expensive!

Toast hope all is well, brown blood now sounds like a good sign that it's old blood and not continuing, typical that it's a weekend though!

Twinkletoes007 · 14/03/2015 09:29

Hi Toast. Try not to worry. I had the same about 4 weeks ago and on the scan I had last week to check all was ok they could see a small pool of spotting on there. Said it was totally normal - probably implantation spotting - and that it works its way about in stages. So I'm expecting another load to come out at some point. Am sure all will be absolutely fine. As you say Sod's law it happens on a Friday and you have the weekend to wait. Sending Flowers.

Twinkletoes007 · 14/03/2015 09:32

Life excellent work there. I've got a friends bday drinks tonight and am panicking! Am the worst liar ever and I'm sure I'm going to give the game away!

Toast85 · 14/03/2015 09:32

9+5 today. Thanks choccy- lots of people seem to have had a similar type of thing, which does put it into perspective a bit. But I don't think I'll be able to relax until I know it's all ok... If GP doesn't refer me to EPU I think I'm going to try and get a private early scan- my dating scan is still almost 4 weeks away and I don't think I can hold out that long.

Just checking in. Had my midwife appt and all is well, just waiting on a scan date now.

Choccywoccydodah · 14/03/2015 10:47

toast phone epu yourself, you can self refer and they'll book you in direct. Just tell them what you've had :)

batfish · 14/03/2015 16:26

Aww toast I'm sure everything is fine but keeping everything crossed for you as know how worrying it must be.

Toast85 · 14/03/2015 20:29

Choccy I looked but website says GP referral only. Maybe worth a try anyhow.
Thanks batfish! Hope you're feeling more settled now after your recent good scan news?

So I know quite a few of us are telling parents this weekend. I told mine today ! A bit shocked but in a good way and it feels great to have shared it now !!!
Good luck to those who are sharing news and Happy Mothers Day to all xxx

batfish · 15/03/2015 04:47

Happy Mother's Day everyone! Did anyone get anything from their thoughtful men? Not me - but then I'm still waiting for a bday present from October and he hasn't even managed to sort his actual mum for mother's day!

I'm feeling soooo much better thanks toast - can actually believe it might be OK now and talk about it, it's lovely!

Choccywoccydodah · 15/03/2015 08:02

Hmmmm toast that's odd as I've always just phoned the hospital and booked myself in! My gp only ever knew about 3 of my losses, so I could get checked out (I had 8) as I was sick of going through them all the time. After the 3 I didn't bother

Choccywoccydodah · 15/03/2015 08:05

And yes, happy mothers days ladies to all of you Flowers

butterflygirl1515 · 15/03/2015 13:11

Hi,

Just checking in again. My edd is 5-10 Oct. Have 12/13 week scan on 30th March. Can't wait and am counting the days now.

Only had a week of nausea/sickness so far so am very relieved about that. Unfortunatly though I think I may have pelvic girdle pain though. Have have 2 severe attacks of it so far where I cant walk for the pain for 3 or 4 days and some on and off pain the rest of the time. Am seeing my GP about it tomorow so hopefully will get a diagnosis and treatment help/advice.

Felt some fluttering feelings at end of last week so think that might be the baby making its presence felt. :-)

Best wishes to everyone else on here.
