i would imagine as long as the seat unit reclines that it is fine. obv you wouldnt want a baby sat upright if they havent learnt to sit up yet so as long as they can lay back and be supported i think it will be ok.

i know i have read about 'inlays' that can be bought for some pushchair, didnt see the point of them but maybe they are to give support when theyre not quite strong enough to be sat upright?

fwiw my dn had an obaby pushchair from newborn and it was completely fine as it reclined. think it was sold fr newborn +.

Hi ladies waves. How is everyone?
I received the angel sounds doppler today and I have to say I really like it.
It was reduced to £20 and I found babys heartbeat in about a minute! Smile

gingerbreadmam · 05/05/2015 17:11

ooh how exciting bet that is reassuring and well worth the money! didnt think be that easy to find tbh so great that it was Grin

mountainofdreams · 05/05/2015 17:23

Neither did I! I didn't really know where to look but there it was!
Any more purchasing this week? Smile

gingerbreadmam · 05/05/2015 17:47

wow thats amazing! bet youre pleased you bought it.

nope, finally made a decision on feeding. going to bf and give one ebf per day so wanted to get some bottles whilst on offer but dp said no lol! been looking at bathing equipment too, duno what to get there tho.

we are gettinf a bit closer to moving tho, saw a house last wk which needed a bit of work in my eyes to be liveable. have gone back to landlord who is prepared to do most of changes so that could be the next big thing.

gaggiagirl · 05/05/2015 19:17

Hi all, had my midwife appt today and got to hear the heartbeat eek! I'm nearly 18wks so it was good and strong.

gingerbreadmam · 05/05/2015 19:44

ooh gaggia lovely! bet that has made your day. glad it all went well.

they never offered at mine it was really boring Confused

Toast85 · 05/05/2015 19:50

Nice one gaggia!
My 16wk app is Thursday- I know she's going to have a go with the doppler and I so hope she can find the heartbeat. Tried and failed at booking in (8 weeks, think it was blatantly never gonna happen then, not sure really why she even offered to try!) and she promised me she would get it at next app- I'm going to hold her to it!

good luck for thursday toast hope that get it.

after seeing mountains update earlier in wishing i had a doppler now Grin

crazypuglady · 05/05/2015 20:18

Not posted on here for a while so thought I'd pop in. I'm glad other people have started buying, I feel less like I'm getting ahead of myself now! Although I am probably the first person to have painted the nursery Blush

I hadn't thought about Christmas being just after the baby is born. Think I'm going to hope for a jumperoo too.

gingerbreadmam · 05/05/2015 20:33

smyths had a really good price on the jumperoos last wkend think they were about £69 or maybe £79 hut cheapest i had seen one before.

what have you been buying then crazy and what have you opted for in the nursery?

if i get moved anytime soon i think ill be straight onto the nursery after we have found out the sex. cant wait.

crazypuglady · 05/05/2015 21:12

Ooh that is a good price gingerbread

I've bought a playmat, some nappies, baby toiletries, a few sleep suits, a few muslin cloths, some pram toys, a baby carrier, a new blind for the nursery, a blanket and I've been given a baby bath, bath support, high chair, swim ring, walker, booties, tummy time roller and spare car seat. Mom has bought steriliser, bottle starter pack and loads of clothes (very excited nanny).

We only painted the walls because we figured it would be easier now than when the room is even more full!

gingerbreadmam · 05/05/2015 21:23

ooh youre doing well! sounds like youve got lots eeekkk making me want to shop again.

which bath support have you got? thats next on my list to look into. ive just been looking at the angelcare one.

also just discovered ewan the dream sheep and think im going to have to stick that on my list.

crazypuglady · 05/05/2015 21:46

Shop! Go on, make me feel better about how much I have!

The bath support is a plastic winnie the pooh one my cousin gave me. I was looking at the fabric cheapie one that mother care do, looks like it would be soft against baby skin. I wasn't intending to have a baby bath at all but not going to turn down freebies, she gave me all of that list above for nothing!

I like the look of Ewan! I'm eyeing up a groegg. Struck me as gimmicky to start with but see it being highly rated in a few magazines so hoping to pick a second hand one up cheap.

How long till you find out the sex? We are team yellow so the nursery is a pastel yellow and dove grey combo.

mountainofdreams · 05/05/2015 23:31

Gingerbread I'm looking at the angelcare bath support too, although we think were having a girl I will definitely be buying the blue one as I prefer it!

crazypuglady, wow you have really got a lot! I just bought a few things and thought that I might be buying too early!
Trying to not buy anything else until after our twenty week scan next week! Smile

gingerbreadmam · 06/05/2015 06:35

ooh yellow and dove grey sounds gorgeous!

ooh no i certainly wouldnt be turning down any freebies. my friend has offered us her car seat which ill be taking for my dms car. not had any other offers yet tho.

the angelcare looks good as does the mothercare one. years ago my dn just had a foam sponge support qhich worked well so any of those will do for me.

okies here goes i have so far bought:
bouncy chair
dummies
sleepsuits
vests
cardigans
christmas outfits Blush

4 wks today and we'll know the sex so thats when spending will go into overdrive Grin

gingerbreadmam · 06/05/2015 07:16

oops forgot the bundlers. got a pack of 2 of marksys and going to invest in some more! theyre a lifesaver in the night apparently.

crazypuglady · 06/05/2015 08:07

Bundlers? What are they?

I have bought a lot but of the stuff I've actually bought only two things weren't on offer. Everything else was either in the sale or a bargain off a Facebook selling site.

Don't blame you on the Christmas outfits gingerbread I wish I'd got some in the sale.

mountain my cousin gave us a blue highchair. If baby is a girl then tough! Pretty sure baby won't care what colour their bath support is anyway!

gingerbreadmam · 06/05/2015 08:34

have a look on next sale crazy the still had some on there not long ago.

it is basically a baby grow that is like a nightie, comes really long and kind of just comes a bit tight at the bottom. the point of them are when bum needs doing in middle of night you just pull them up rather than faff on with poppers. i will try and post a link.

good work with the bargains!

Fabuluce · 06/05/2015 08:40

I haven't bought a single thing for the baby yet! I have only just managed to buy some maternity clothes (too big at the moment but more comfy on my tum than my jeggings) so I think I'm a bit behind everyone but then again I'm also officially the last EDD in October too so that's my excuse Wink

In other news....I've rediscovered my sex drive. Wowsers!! I'd hoped that it might return in the 2nd trimester (TTC for over 4 years and IVF can really take its toll) but if this continues my DH is going to be exhaustedGrinBlushGrinBlushGrin.

gingerbreadmam · 06/05/2015 09:07

ha fab i am waiting for this surge of hormones to kick in. with having an mmc previously the first 3 months were off the cards. been trying to get back into swing of things but not back to normal yet. keep thinking come on hormones!!!!!

plenty of time to buy stuff yet Smile

Fabuluce · 06/05/2015 09:12

Yes me too - this was our first time since January! Hormones attacked in the middle of the night and I had to pounce Wink I must say though, totally worth the wait!!!

crazypuglady · 06/05/2015 09:14

Wow those bundlers look great! Think I'll be getting a couple of those.

There's still plenty of time for buying fab

gingerbreadmam · 06/05/2015 09:29

apparently they were all the rage when i was a baby (30 years ago!) so for the price theyre worth a try. ive seen good things about them on mn too!

ha fab good for you! we manage once or twice a wk at min altho i must say now i can feel my swollen tummy a lot of the time and it puts me off so i hope that passes and the hormones surge Grin
