Nonny, so glad you got some positive news. Hopefully that takes a huge weight off your shoulders and you can start to relax and enjoy yourself a bit more. Was the nuchal measurement just a 'blip' or are you going to need further testing to rule out other things?

Fabuluce · 09/04/2015 09:32

Good luck Toast! Wow Nonny what wonderful news, if a little late!! That GP was working above and beyond! I had my harmony test on Tuesday and am having the Nuchal in 1.5weeks so am in that same limbo phase of waiting (again!).

NonnyBunny · 09/04/2015 14:05

Thanks everyone!

scatterbrainedlass think we'll get heart checked at 20 weeks but have decided against amnio. Apparently 70% of babies with increased nuchal are born healthy, and having ruled out the 3 main trisomies I think we have a much better chance of a healthy baby now.

Also I think we can't take the stress of waiting for more results, so we'll basically take that risk of any other conditions. We will get the heart checked at 20 weeks though, as that's a risk with the increased nuchal.

Good luck to those having scans today and look forward to seeing more scan pics Smile

NonnyBunny · 09/04/2015 14:08

Good luck with the harmony fabuluce - the relief of ruling potential problems out will be worth it!

Toast85 · 09/04/2015 18:06

All totally wonderful at today's scan! The Bean is gorgeous, has arms and legs, a brain, everything!
I had to go an do half a wee halfway through so that we could see the legs- when I went back in it was wiggling and kicking about! Got a nice little wave too.

So glad to hear your good news NonnyBunny! It's great to hear your scan went well too, Toast, especially that you got a wave!

Fabuluce · 09/04/2015 19:04

Brilliant news Toast Grin

batfish · 09/04/2015 21:35

Ahh yay toast that sounds awesome!

batfish · 09/04/2015 21:38

I've told some colleagues this week and today one very blunt Russian b was nice but at the same time said 'oh I would never have guessed, I had noticed you had been getting fatter and thought you were being very lazy not exercising'.....ermm yeah thanks for that!

Twinkletoes007 · 10/04/2015 07:58

Hi everyone, nice to hear about everyone's scans. Had mine yesterday and all looked well. Bean was being naughty and kept rolling over at the key time so I had to keep jumping around to move it back! Here is the photo.

Who do I message for the Facebook group?

Hope everyone is well. X

Lovely new toast!!

Batfish, I would've slapped her!

Twinkle, beautifully clear scan that!!

Booking appt finally today for me yeehaa! 11+5 :)

Fabuluce · 10/04/2015 09:15

Haha Toast, it's definitely an Eastern European thing - I've had a number of colleagues in the past who have been that blunt! Subtlety doesn't seem to be part of the language Shock

Fabuluce · 10/04/2015 09:16

My booking appointment was yesterday but I didn't get any freebies that others have mentioned - have I been diddled?? Enjoy yours Chocs, you're one week ahead of me exactly Smile

scatterbrainedlass · 10/04/2015 09:42

Twinkletoes, send me a message and I'll try to add you, I'm an admin on there but haven't done it before!!

twolittlepenguins · 10/04/2015 10:53

Hi everyone! I'm new and hoping to join this thread? I'm almost 12 weeks by my reckoning (scan on Tuesday next week) so am due at the end of October. I've been off work with morning sickness for quite a few weeks so am pretty lonely right now- it's hard when you haven't shared your news yet pre-scan and there isn't much communication with the outside world. Will need to catch up with all the messages on this thread but congratulations to everyone and Twinkle, what a brilliant scan picture Smile

gingerbreadmam · 10/04/2015 11:49

Finally got a good pic, still a wriggler today. Nuchal fold was very good so hopefully everything is good on that front too. Wow such a relief.

Good luck to everyone else with scans coming up and lovely to see all pics.

Cineraria · 10/04/2015 11:56

Lovely scan Twinkletoes. S/he seems to have lovely posture already!

Welcome twolittlepenguins! Hope you feel better soon.

I didn't get a Bounty pack this time either, Fabuluce. Maybe my hospital have stopped doing it. I got the Emma's Diary book from the GP though, which I didn't last time and the Goody pack you get when you take the form from that to Boots/Argos is pretty good, including a Johnson's bathing and changing product set, but you can also get their form online if the doctor didn't give it to you.

Good luck with the booking, Choccy!

worksallhours · 10/04/2015 11:57

Hi ... just checking in. Smile

I had my 12 week scan today and Little Bean is fine! I was so nervous because of what happened last time (disastrous first pregnancy that ended in stillbirth).

Weirdly, Little Bean seemed very chilled out. Hands behind head, wiggling feet, as though floating on some kind of inflatable lilo on holiday.

I have a good feeling about this pregnancy and a good feeling about Little Bean. Interestingly, the sonographer dated the pregnancy exactly to the date I conceived, which seems like a jolly good sign.

Come on, little one. We can do it this time. I know we can! Grin

RhiannonElward · 10/04/2015 13:05

worksallhours I am so sorry for your loss and very glad the scan put you at ease and feeling positive. It seems that baby is very relaxed about everything and has passed the good vibes on to you. If you can post a scan pic please do :)

Twinkletoes your scan pic is awesome, I love the shape of babies at this age, when they're all head and belly with skinny stick legs, it amazes me that they can be so fully formed but still so tiny.

Welcome to the new folk too :)

Ladypug · 10/04/2015 16:14

Well done Worksallhours, you can do this! You have a strong little Bean! Nice to see and hear about everyone's scans, some of you must be into the second trimester already! I'm in second trimester next week! Woo hoo! x

Iloveonionchutney · 10/04/2015 17:28

Hello everyone Smile
I'm so pleased to join you all, having my official dating scan next Thursday, but after a very scary night of a big bleed and aches I had an early scan this morning where everything looked absolutely fine and they said I'm 13+5, be nice to get a picture next week now!

NonnyBunny · 10/04/2015 18:45

worksallhours no wonder you felt anxious, sounds like you've been through a real ordeal. So glad everything is going smoothly this time!

chutney sounds scary, glad everything is okay now - must be a huge relief!

Does anyone else get pain in lower abdomen/pelvis when they cough? Am 14+2 and have been getting this for about 2 weeks now. Really uncomfortable!

Choccywoccydodah · 10/04/2015 19:14

When your are told that a friend has just posted accidentally under your username! Ffs, not impressed!
Used her phone quickly to message someone and I forgot to sign out grr! My fault I suppose!

Works, massive relief for you!!

Iloveonionchutney · 10/04/2015 19:14

It was scary Nonny definitely breathed a sigh of relief at the scan and had a good cry in the car!
I get a pain when I cough it's very uncomfortable, I think it's just where everything is being stretched, not much fun though Sad

Choccywoccydodah · 10/04/2015 19:18

I've been getting that for weeks too Nonny
