I have been for my scan and all was well. I was dated at 13+0 which is a few days more than I expected.

Baby was very active and it took the sonographer a long time to get all of the measurements. Here is the bubba.

Nutellalover14 · 08/04/2015 13:50

It's lovely seeing all these scan pictures, they are great pictures and so clear. I can't wait to have mine, but mines not till 24th April Sad and am currently 10 + 6. So it's nice to see everyone's healthy wee babies. All very exciting Grin

Cineraria · 08/04/2015 14:04

Welcome SLH10 and congratulations! Don't worry about needing a bigger bra so soon; I went up two cup sizes between four and five weeks as soon as the hormones hit and luckily they haven't got any bigger since (15+3 now).

It's so lovely to hear about everyone's scans and to see the pictures too. We had our twelve week one a couple of weeks ago and were told that everything seems ok. It's taking ages sink in though. Last summer I was pregnant and things didn't go well, so the scan then and the week in hospital after was a horrible experience. This time I think that I hadn't really associated the pregnancy with actually going on to have a baby, so it was honestly quite a shock to see a healthy one apparently trampolining and even doing a somersault inside me!

I had the week off after that and made a few dresses that I hope will last me the full duration. Thank goodness I did because between my bust and my expanding waistline, I only have one work outfit that fits now, so I really needed them this week!

gaggiagirl · 08/04/2015 16:33

Is anyone going for a private sex scan before the nhs 20wk scan? Its available from 16wks apparently..........tempting.

SLH10 · 08/04/2015 16:50

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Great to see most people's scans. I can't wait to get ours done in 8 days time! Feeling a bit guilty as I've been supposedly working from home today and I seem to have spent much of the day reading up about baby stuff or snoozing on the sofa, felt sooo tired today!

Cineraria · 08/04/2015 17:17

Gaggia, What happens with the private sex scan if the baby doesn't cooperate by getting in the right position for them to see. Do you get to go back again until they can see whether it's a boy or girl or just get another picture of whatever they can see during the appointment?

Toast85 · 08/04/2015 18:21

Congrats for all the lovely scans! Mine is tomorrow so hopefully i can add to the good news. And then finally stop hiding it from colleagues! Although so many people know now anyway as I keep having to duck out of certain jobs due to higher risks to me or baby, and generally once I ask a colleague to swap something with me they guess what's going on.

Anyway, mixture of total excitement and mega nerves about tomorrow, but keep telling myself my scan 3 weeks ago was fine so chances are that this one will be too.

Hello Ladies just a quick pop in to say in facebook there is a promo for the babynests and its a pretty good deal I think, I know some of you were looking at them to use Smile Smile

gaggiagirl · 08/04/2015 19:08

Cineraria yes you do get to go back for another try without paying extra. Most likely on the same day after a sugary snack and cold drink.

sleepyMe12 · 08/04/2015 19:17

gaggia I have already booked for the end of the month Blush

Cineraria · 08/04/2015 19:31

That sounds like a good opportunity then if you're feeling excited about finding out.

I'm not too worried about knowing yet and even if the 20 week scan doesn't show it, I don't think we'd be upset. Currently we're giving the baby different boy and girl names on alternate weeks and I'm quite enjoying thinking up new ones to use!

gaggiagirl · 08/04/2015 19:36

I'm still not sure if I will book the scan. I'm just tempted, very tempted.

WinterBabyof89 · 08/04/2015 19:58

Hello ladies :)
Lovely pictures!! toast good luck for tomoro..

Introduced myself weeks ago but I haven't been back since - feel ready to jump back on as we're getting to the good bits Grin and it's nice to share your journey with others (although I'll find some discussion hard to get into because of my history so might dip In & out)..

I'm 11weeks tomoro.. With dating scan on the 21st... Cannot wait to find out the baby's sex.. Be having a private scan at 16 weeks.. I have a strong preference this time around so need time to adjust :) I've a gut feeling that this baby is a boy (and I'd love a girl) so I'm planning for a boy, we chosen boy names, and just preparing myself for being a mum to 2 boys!

NonnyBunny · 08/04/2015 21:44

We were meant to get our harmony results today after a horrible 2 weeks wait (just to recap, due to large nuchal have a 1:4 chance of a chromosomal abnormalities...).
The clinic told us they had arrived at lunch time and dr would call us but we never got that call! So frustrating as today was agony staring at the phone and we'll have to do it all again tomorrow Sad.
Just want to know if we can start enjoying pregnancy or if the news is bad, come to terms with it and deal with consequences. This limbo sucks!
On a positive note lovely to see everyone's fab scan pics Smile

Cineraria · 08/04/2015 22:01

So sorry to hear you had such a scary experience, NonnyBunny and a frustrating wait today. I hope tomorrow brings you the good news you're hoping for, so you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

NonnyBunny · 08/04/2015 23:47

Finally some good news - doctor called at 11pm and said we are negative for Down's, Edwards's and Patau Syndrome. Unbelievable relief after a horrendous 2 weeks!

Need to decide whether to have amnio to test for other possible causes of nuchal fold but they are all much rarer and I'm not sure I want to take the risk.

For now I'm just going to enjoy a night of not feeling like I'm about to receive terrible news! Smile

Toast85 · 09/04/2015 06:09

Wow- 11pm! Surprised they called you that late but really pleased you got good news nonny!
