Welcome to the 13th April 2015 babies thread!

The stats thread is here and we have a handy spreadsheet here

If anyone wants to join the FB group who hasn’t already, PM me your email address and I’ll send you an invite!

We’re in the home stretch ladies, we've had the first baby, how many more threads can we manage before the last baby is here?

Marking my place (thanks Boo!) whilst drinking what must be my sixth pint of lemon juice water today. I've been so lucky, and seem to have avoided heartburn all pregnancy (touches all the wood), I can't imagine heartburn and lemons would be friends!

BananaToast · 09/03/2015 18:37

Thanks Boo!

Sounds like we're better off without a landline too, although DH gets lots of PPI calls to his mobile.

So exhausted today, very happy to be done at work and back home in my pjs on the sofa, I'm not moving all evening! Less than 4 weeks left in the office...

34 weeks today.

IvegotaCaveTroll · 09/03/2015 18:45

Boo can u change the stats thread - I'm in the girl group and am hopefully being induced at 39 weeks on 16th April.

I wonder how many babies appear before April- I bet rustys have/had hers already!!

TheBooMonster · 09/03/2015 18:48

glad things have settled down a bit daholster

Good luck with your scan Fir

Argh how frustrating rl but at least it's packed up now and not with an newborn!

moomin if you take it down can you put a new one up? If so I'd replace ti with an updated review to include the awful treatment you've since received!!

annia how incredibly unhelpful of your midwife! Not so bad if she plans on being at your every beck and call if you come across problems with breastfeeding, but it's unlikely she'd be in a position to actually do that, so you having a backup of that's what you feel would help is a good idea!

I find mother care to be a bit on the snug side, I've had to go up a size or two in most of their maternity stuff, whereas elsewhere I've been he same or sometimes smaller!

The cold tap finally broke in the kitchen yesterday! It's only been on the blink since we bought the house 18 months ago, and DH was meant to arrange with FiL them replacing the taps in the kitchen so that DH could learn how to do it, however in true DH fashion 'relaxing' on his 'days off' took precedence, so FiL had to come over today to replace the tap, MiL and I managed to convince him to leave the hot tap till DH is off at the weekend though, so DH can fit it under supervision, he's not getting out of it that easy!!

My back hurts so bloody much! It's been on and off since the weekend, but now it's mostly on :/ and we have next to no food in the house and DH won't be home with dinner till 9pm which is roughly when the Tesco delivery will arrive. And I forgot to order more Tena lady Shock and it's almost DD's bed time, and because nanny and grandad were here late she missed her normal dinner time and is refusing to eat her gagworthy fish pie in desperation I gave her buttons as that was literally all we had in the cupboards that didn't have soya in, I am a shit mum so she's going to wake up in the night and demand some sort of snack grumble grumble stomp stomp stomp and that is all my fault for not realising how much she was allowed to cain through her snacks and food whilst DH has been home three days this week

On the bright side I ordered another sling last night! It's a Lenny Lamb twisted leaves and is gooooorgeous, and I got my dispatch confirmation through this evening, so if anyone's looking for a sling, I'd definitely recommend having a look at the Koala Slings website, especially for ring slings!

cave shall sort that out for you in a bit!

IvegotaCaveTroll · 09/03/2015 18:52

Boo u r not a shit mum! Shit mums do not feel guilt and worry about doing the right thing like u do!

TinyTear · 09/03/2015 18:57

Wow 13th thread lucky!

StuntNun · 09/03/2015 18:58

I love Twisted Leaves Boo. How are you going to break it in? I have a Didymos Indio under my bedsheet at the moment trying to soften it up.

mswibble · 09/03/2015 19:00

Haha, fab title boo!

skyra13 · 09/03/2015 19:02

Marking my placeGrin had the strangest thing happen with bump earlier had like little palpitations in it not sure what it was! Very odd feeling was not hiccups as they are low down this was left side middle of bump faster then hiccups but slower then heart beat anyone had this?
I am probably just an odd one Smile

FiRaffe · 09/03/2015 19:08

Sounds like an odd one skyra but these babies do seem to like to keep us guessing!

smogsville · 09/03/2015 19:11

Boo last night my DD ate a fromage frais, an orange and a frozen chocolate lollipop for supper. I tried to get some toast in her but she wasn't having it. She didn't wake up, the choc calories must have seen her through Blush.

Yes Brixton I think I probably am the greediest person on our thread!

Boo thanks for doing the new one for us.

Lauren82000 · 09/03/2015 19:16

RL I changed my graze box to the kids one I get on with it much better. Little breadsticks and flapjacks are great.

TheBooMonster · 09/03/2015 19:27

thanks ladies, I just feel awful, as she'd eaten pretty dubiously most of the day anyway, but I was convinced the fish pie would balance it out, and then she didn't eat it, and was demanding food from the cupboard, but all that was in there was the damned buttons and some soft slightly off smelling peanuts that she was actually quite keen on the idea of gags some more

stunt I'm not sure, i'm new to the whole breaking in concept, Would putting DD in it and making DH carry her round in it break it in or just break it? she's 2 but she's a small two, and she's pretty light...

lauren but the kids graze box doesn't cave the cake and a teabag, I used to love getting the cake and a teabag!

In the night garden has just come on in the background, the garden reference thus felt needed :P

Yes I hope rusty is doing ok too!

Wow thread 13 Shock

Love the title too! My 'garden' definitely needs seeing to Blush (I hope that's what you mean, anyway!...)
Partner has just cheekily said 'dinner, shower, bed and s*' I'm sure you can fill in the blanks! It's been absolutely ages, a good few months. Which I do feel guilty about but for one, I've not been up to it at all, libido went out the window. Plus I always worry that it could harm something (or bring on labour?!!!!!?!Shock).
I feel like I should go and sort my lady garden out and treat him but in all honesty I just can't be bothered Sad

Thanks for the new thread boo

I've just had a bath and god it was a struggle getting out I was like a turtle stuck on it's back Blush

Has anybody else got the next maternity mini catalogue, mine arrived today the baby stuff is seriously cute. I have a £20 voucher to use so when baby arrives and i find out whether it's a boy or girl I will be spoilt for choice in there.

I had a read of the March antenatal thread earlier to read the birth stories and take a peek at the pictures of the babies that have arrived it is scary that next month that will be our thread!!

cinnamongreyhound · 09/03/2015 20:19

Thanks TheBooMonster! Buttons Grin wish I could eat buttons for tea, you can be my mum Wink. It's one day and tomorrow she will eat wonderfully!

I made a steak and ale stew in the slow cooker which I then really didn't want to eat but gave my boys a good talking to as I left Dh to do tea and they ate it all with jacket potato. I went for a run with my friend who offered some stress relief and an ear about what happened yesterday. I don't feel that I've got anywhere but do feel less stressed! And when I got back the boys had been good, Dh is happy and I actually quite enjoyed the stew!

RL20 · 09/03/2015 20:20

Wine I know what you mean! I'm about to go in the bath now so expecting full turtle mode to kick in!
Hmm hadn't thought about looking on the March thread! Dare I hear birth stories?? Shock

So come on ladies make me feel better, who is still 'active'?! And what position is best for around this stage?! Sorry tmi!

cinnamongreyhound · 09/03/2015 20:23

We manage with Dh behind me, me sitting on him and as if he's on top but he doesn't lay on me and lifts my legs up RL20, probably too graphic but you asked!

IvegotaCaveTroll · 09/03/2015 20:27

I read all the few stories last month- but they don't say as much as us!

Wineandchoccy · 09/03/2015 20:27

RL20 well even though it's my 1st time the information doesn't put me off but some of the stories are rather graphic honest!

IvegotaCaveTroll · 09/03/2015 20:27

That should say February thread last month
