Oh god cinnamon, definitely NBU. i've had to block people on FB since they got sucked into flogging Forever Living. Everything was a sales opportunity or chance to suck another gullible idiot in. I'm fully expecting to be bombarded with spiel from them once ive settled into maternity leave.

Lauren82000 · 28/02/2015 22:41

Ahh heartburn there you are my friend I thought you had left but no your back Sad.

Sat reading in bed, I'm tired but not really tired enough to nod off. Got a visitor (DD) about an hour ago, she's on DH's side and hasn't spread out yet so he can move her when he comes up. Wish this baby would shift, I don't get heartburn when it's head down! Confused

FiRaffe · 28/02/2015 23:00

Sorry to hear of more pains again tonight. hope you all feel better and don't have too bad a sleep!

brummagem · 28/02/2015 23:06

www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0544gy8

That's the link it's called Childbirth:All or nothing.

Carrying placenta in a bag isn't my idea of fun but each to their own. I'm donating mine to medical science as my DH used to work with them to extract stem cells for cancer research. Little one will have had all he can use as my hospital waits for as much blood to transfer into the baby as possible before cutting it off plus the stem cells inside are only viable for 25 yrs (unless leukemia) and you're highly unlikely to be critically ill before then. Rather the cells help someone else than get wasted.

ChickenMe · 28/02/2015 23:16

I must watch that programme. ILs were shocked by the placenta and FIL declared that (Chicken) is not eating the placenta. Just for that I declared over dinner that I might.
cinnamon no, not U. You're very preg fgs, why should you give a monkeys about her business thingy. I see it as now, being pretty pregnant, if I don't want to do something (I mean unimportant things)then heck I'm not bloody doing it!!!

brummagem · 28/02/2015 23:26

Are people supping raspberry leaf tea or taking the capsules? Is there any difference?

I have to admit the c section freaked me out. The whole sticking of something in my spine followed by cutting my stomach muscles (what's left of them) to pop the water and manhandle out a baby to immediately clamp and cut the cord. Eeek all looked rather brutal! I take my hat off to you elective c sectioners! You're all far braver than me! The poor woman looked so uncomfortable on that photo shoot afterwards. I agree the husband did appear to be a bit of a div expecting her to fly 10 days after joys of being arm candy I guess.

catsofa · 01/03/2015 01:18

Hey folks just checking in so I can try not to miss another entire thread, I really can't keep up!

House moving has been delayed another week for a really stupid reason and may be another week for another stupid reason that there's nothing we can do anything about.

Now means that the earliest we're be able to get in the property to see what works and decoration it needs may be around 29th March or so.

Sooo stressy, I want a home birth and need to try for one because of a MH condition that would probably be triggered in a hospital setting, but I need a comfortable, familiar home to do it in - plus DP is still living in a different city and may now not even be able to visit me again before we get keys for the house and he can come here with a van full of all his stuff and actually MOVE!

So I'm still living on my own, and can't even reach to dry between my own toes any more. Had a bit of a cry about it earlier, probably just hormonal but hey I'm supposed to be hormonal, that's why I need as little stress as possible and someone here to cuddle me, right?

Thank god for the cat, she is a cuddle junkie.

Sorry for the ranty moan, there is nobody else here to vent at!

Ugh DD got me up far too early. Bump is really sore top and bottom, I've got a headache and feel a bit sick but I'm up even if I only have 1 eye open. Wish she would hurry up eating her cereal so i can go lie down on the couch.

brummagem · 01/03/2015 06:57

Catsofa moan away! It all helps! I so hope it all falls into place for you. As a back up Does your hospital have a midwife only birthing centre? I found it more like a comfortable travelodge room than hospital. No visible medical equipment en suite shower room ipod dock and speakers etc felt far less hospital and more homely. Cats are amazing stress relievers. Flowers

Eek Babiecakes fingers crossed it all goes well and she changes position. If not hope the sunroof evac (like that sunroof analogy Grin) heals well and causes as little pain as possible! Flowers

StuntNun · 01/03/2015 08:36

Brummagem they don't cut through the stomach muscles in a c-section. There is a separation between the two sides so they can just part them to get to your uterus.

Cinnamon you are not being unreasonable! Of course you have a million more things to think about.

Babycakes hope things are ok with you. Scary/exciting having a delivery date so soon! I agree that program was quite graphic with the c section. They have a screen in place so you won't be able to see anything happening but I agree it is a scary prospect. Just focus on having your lovely baby afterwards if you can.

Brummagem I'm not on the raspberry leaf tea (don't like flavoured teas anyway!) but from what I remember I think there's quite a few people on here drinking the tea.

catsofa sorry you're having such a stressful time with the house move, really hope it gets sorted as soon as possible and you have time to get it sorted (or rather let others get it sorted for you!) before baby comes so you can have your lovely home birth. I agree you need your DP with you for cuddles too. Sending Brew and Flowers for you.

Lauren sorry you're feeling rubbish again today hope things improve soon.

I've been feeling rubbish this morning too as well, I think I did way too much yesterday and was so exhausted and achey. Got upset this morning just feeling useless, unattractive, fat, swollen, sore. And DH had got up at 7am cos I was snoring Blush so was upset about that too. Thankfully he then came back to bed to give me a cuddle. And declared I was hormonal! Er yes probably!

FiRaffe · 01/03/2015 09:14

Ooh Welsh cakes sound like a great idea Squatting.

Love the sunroof analogy too.

Got a day of sorting the house and trying the car seat out today. Definitely looking forward to the latter, but less so trying to sort the house ready for the health visitor coming in a couple of weeks! She told me she has a dvd to show me on how to deal with crying - I wonder if it's me or the baby!

daholster · 01/03/2015 09:21

skyra please ring the midwife, upper abdo pain is a sign of headaches and now your are getting headaches too... Not trying to be scary or saying that's what it is, just that it is really important to get it checked, I'd do it now. Good luck! Flowers

Off to look at cars. We still don't have ours back after it broke down because it has a £1000 price tag for fixing it and then needs a service and MOT and reinsuring etc etc...And a company car from dh covers all that. Costs more than running the old one of course but at least it would be reliable and who knows if the old one will break down again unexpectedly and cost more anyway...

Went to see CATS last night. It was great, but sooo many Braxton Hicks in the theatre and since!

33+5

daholster · 01/03/2015 09:22

skyra sorry, upper abdo pain is a sign of pre-eclampsia... As is headaches. Can't blame my phone for that typo just my baby brain!!!

Brumma, I'm on the tea, currently on a cup a day and will ramp up to two cups a day at 35 weeks.

Slept through last night for first time in ages, only to wake up this morning feeling groggy and not terribly comfortable. Baby wriggled away and I think there's been some position shifting - my big goal atm is to make sure they're not back-to-back if at all possible, so I'm extra conscious of how I'm sitting all the time, and probably will be until the exercise ball arrives! But general grogginess doesn't seem to fit pregnancy, so either I'm starting to get exhaustion again, or I'm working up to a cold. Neither of which is particularly appealing, I have to be honest.

33w+4

Lauren82000 · 01/03/2015 09:37

We all have one coming next month. Hopefully they won't be too late. Personally hoping for a reasonably on time baby DD was 2 full weeks late and need several sticks of dynamite to get her shifting. Plus if this one is late that's another May baby. May is far too full of birthdays as it is!

Bump no longer hurts and my headache has eased off but I do detect a slight sore throat and stuffy noseHmm least I'm not the only one feeling a bit rubbish. Misery loves company after all Smile

skyra13 · 01/03/2015 09:53

RL20 · 01/03/2015 09:56

Morning everyone.

Baby is wriggling lots this morning, I can even see the movement through my thick dressing gown! Can't tell which position he's laying in but I'm feeling mainly all the movement on my right, it feels bizarre! And I've had my first couple of jabs in my actual ribs, I've never felt him that high up before so it feels quite strange!

Skyra glad you're feeling better and the pain has gone!
Happy 35 weeks! I can't believe I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow.
It's flying by!
