Kismac - welcome back! I'm on the thread every day and still can't keep up! Grin
With regards to your heart mumur, is it affecting your birth plan? Or have they recommend anything?
I suffer with palpitations and have done for a few years. I'm panicking that with normal labour and birth, if I was to get palpitations would it cause an anxiety attack or would I be able to breathe properly ShockConfused worrying myself about it!

Cinnamon sorry you're feeling like that, Flowers for you. I don't have any constructive advice unfortunately but it does sound like a really difficult situation and you could definitely use the support from your DH.

Lauren hope you get comfy soon - it's awful having tight things pressing into bump. Some of my maternity trousers have started doing it now.

Kismac hope things are ok with your heart tests.
RL do you know the cause of your palpitations? Do you tend to get them if you're more anxious? It might be worth mentioning when you are going into labour so that the mw looking after you knows it might happen and then how she can help you through it. If you haven't seen your GP about them though then do that first!

Dances sorry to hear that Tiger-Rose isn't getting home when you expected Sad it must be so difficult for you Flowers just focus on getting her as well and big as possible so when she does come home you can enjoy her all to yourself.

I'm annoyed as my delivery hasn't come yet despite specifically been scheduled for between 10-2 and I've waited in all day. I've had problems with this courier company before as well and they aren't doing much to redeem themselves!

Nunkie · 09/03/2015 17:26

Goddamn, those furniture folk sound annoying Moomin - how about just blowing a really high-pitched whistle down the phone next time they ring? I'm not kidding! See how they like those apples.
And yes, go public by tweeting about it, contacting your local radio station something. They sound insane!

We avoid some of this sort of hassle by not having a landline and ignoring numbers we don't know - frankly, anyone that desperate can leave a message!

Sounds like you had a lovely shower Siarie! :0D (A friend tried to foist one on me at the weekend, tho tbh i'm more interested in getting away for a last foodie weekend with DP :0D (Is that bad?)

Virtual hugs and cake for you Cinnamon - keeping up a united front is tricky at the best of times, esp where children are concerned.

(Now the hiccups are up under my left ribs. What's going on in there, Peanut?? :0D)

smogsville · 09/03/2015 17:35

Nunkie, where are you going for a foodie weekend?

RL20 · 09/03/2015 18:03

Penguin thanks. There's no real cause for them as such as they come and go, even when I'm relaxed. I used to be an outpatient at another hospital near to me with a cardiology unit. But after a year they discharged me and the conclusion was that it can be an extra beat, or a missing beat and then my heart trying to catch up with itself. Apparently not a major concern or anything, but very irritating and has set off a panic attack once or twice before. I'm just worried that all the pressure on my heart etc during labour might cause me breathing difficulties or something Confused Will speak to the midwife when I see her on Wednesday

FiRaffe · 09/03/2015 18:07

Sorry for all the worries/upsets over furniture companies/step-children/cold callers/delivery companies . Hope all Improves. I pitty the first cold caller to wake up my new baby by calling me in the day....Grin

BrixtonBunny · 09/03/2015 18:10

We don't have a landline either - feels like we're dodging a bullet!

Dances, I'm so sorry you're having to wait longer to get her home. I would definitely complain about my post-natal care if I were you!

BrixtonBunny · 09/03/2015 18:10

Hahaha smogs I love how your ears prick up at the word "foodie" Wink

Still trying to catch up but came across your post Daholster about feeling ill. That's how I've been feeling and turns out I've got a UTI. Iron levels are also low but think it's the UTI that is the main cause. I'd try and drop a urine sample into your GP and see what they say.

minipie · 09/03/2015 21:01

dances that's bad about the lack of checks. I wonder if there's been a mix up and hospital and local team both think the other is checking you? Sorry Tiger rose won't be home yet. I think they say reckon on near term and anything earlier is a bonus... DD was 36.5 weeks when we got her home, but before that we did have a couple of times of "false hopes" raised of getting her home earlier.

any update from Rusty?

thanks for new thread - will go mark my place!

Nunkie · 09/03/2015 23:08

Hey Smogs Smile Ooo, don't get me started on food, have I found a kindred spirit??

We're going here for the tasting menu: (apparently they're pretty used to adapting it for preggers ladies :0D)
www.thewesthouserestaurant.co.uk

..and here for lunch the next day:
www.restaurant-apicius.co.uk

But icing on the cake for my greedy-bastard self is that DP has unearthed a B&B that is also a tearooms - hahah! :0D
thebakehousebiddenden.com

Well, we figured we may as well tear the arse out of it since it'll be a while before we get to indulge again :0D.

(Biddenden has a nice vineyard too - not much use to me at the moment, but no harm in oggling and stocking up for the future! :0D)

Last hurrah for food and romance - can't wait! Grin
(Fingers crossed for no waters breaking halfway thru the amuse bouche :0D)

dancestomyowntune · 10/03/2015 07:54

Actually last night we finally got some answers and Tiger did have a respiratory infection. Now that they know what was causing it they have started treating it with the right antibiotics, which are thankfully oral, and put her in her own room (to prevent other babies catching it) and she has perked right back up! She didn't have any desats (where her oxygen levels drop ) at all yesterday and she was very alert when we were there. The nurse told us she will be in the side room probably until she is discharged as the infection control people said three weeks and the nurse told us they don't expect her to be with them that long now Grin

She is 35+2 so hopefully early next week, if she stays well, she might be able to come home!

cinnamongreyhound · 10/03/2015 08:14

Great news dancestomyowntunes, not that she has an infection but that they've put their finger on it and are sorting it. Pop over to the new thread as I think most have moved over Grin
