I'm up again at stupid O'clock, I couldn't get comfy in bed so I'm led on the sofa with a blanket and the cat is led on my bump looking confused because baby is practising Kung fu!

Great to hear everything is going well Dances! I'm sure once she's home it will all settle down Flowers

Wouldn't it be better if all PCTs did the same for growth charts then if you have to move its still the same. My notes show I could be hatching a 3 month old rather than a newborn!

Did anyone see that programme on BBC1? All about 4 women choosing how they wanted to give birth. Really didn't get the one who didn't want to give birth naturally because of the pain but was happy to be sliced open and deal with all that recovery afterwards. She was buying Armani babygros! Armani! They're in them for 3 weeks and there's me stressing about The Behemoth not fitting into the £20 Jasper at Debenhams 6 piece up to 8lb babygro set I indulged in as a treat! One did a lotus birth another ate bits of her placenta after a home water birth and the last one did a complete free birth.

More baby dreams starting to wake up disappointed he's not here but enjoying the peace while it lasts. It'd be more peaceful if DH didn't snore or the cats didn't go mental at 6am for breakfast or the dog whining to go out! Don't they get it's the weekend? Wink

FiRaffe · 28/02/2015 08:39

I had a crazy baby dream last night brummagem - instead of having just one baby when it came to delivery there were 3....identical twin girls and a boy. I got so swamped and confused that someone replaced the 2 girls with paper cutouts and wrote 'you forgot to feed me' on them!!!! Oh dear, what our brains do to us Confused

skyra13 · 28/02/2015 08:43

Morning ladies the pain in my chest is still there! Not sure what it is eased of last night not to bad today think it might be something that has stretched, hurts more in different positions. Sad its in the middle and I have no gallbladder so don't think its anything to serious just annoying more then anything.

FiRaffe · 28/02/2015 09:12

Aww skyra - I hope they ease up.

Nothing to add this morning so just marking my place on the new thread.

Off for afternoon tea later with the DH, he's requested a comfy seat for me Grin

Hidingthefear · 28/02/2015 09:44

brum do you know what the programme was called? Wanted to watch it on catch up after our hypnobirthing woman mentioned it.

Is the £20 child benefit income related? I was sure we don't qualify for anything, but then some have said everyone can get it.

Woke up at 5 with cramp in my foot, had to jump out of bed to stand on my foot and try and make it straight again :( then stood on a metal bar that DH left on the floor which was like standing on lego!! Safe to say a few expletives were yelled Angry
DH also left the heating turned to ON so I woke up red hot, that also made me annoyed so I opened all the windows :p

mumhum · 28/02/2015 09:55

Hi all, I am new on this thread. EDD 6 April with DD/DS 2. Going to a wedding today which I am looking forward to although so tired from lack of sleep. Any tips on how to cope with a long day?

skyra13 · 28/02/2015 10:04

welcome mumhum same EDD as me :) I find cold fruit drinks keep me going if I am tired and naps if I can get any.

FiRaffe · 28/02/2015 10:04

Hiding - I think child benefit is available to everyone who they or their partner earn under £50k. After that it's pro-rata between 50k and 60k, over that you don't get anything. That is one person's salary not your combined salaries.

Hi mumhum, welcome to the chatterboxes! Coping with a long day.. make sure your shoes are comfy and rest as much as you can! People will understand at 8 months pregnant if you want to sit down!!!

mumhum · 28/02/2015 10:09

FiRaffe, only thing about sitting down is I am worried I then get left on my own and bored. I also have high heels as they make me feel glam, am wearing a maxi dress so can always take them off and go barefoot, no-one would know.

PenguinPoser · 28/02/2015 10:12

Love hearing about the baby dreams! Smile
Sorry your clinic experience wasn't great Misty and fingers crossed baby turns. They wouldn't attempt an ECV until after 37w normally just incase baby got distressed (very rare though!) and they had to deliver straight away. That's what I seem to recall anyway.

Sounds like we are all becoming accustomed to poor sleep at night. Hiding I was another one with the window open last night woke up in a sweat at about 3am despite the heating not being on. And FiRaffe is right about child benefit you will qualify as long as individual household earnings less than 50k each.

Hello mumhum hope the wedding is a lovely day! Don't know how I would cope with that at the moment - would think sitting as much as possible!

I'm happy this morning - it's sunny, baby is kicking after having a quiet night (anyone else's baby have quiet nights like hardly any movement and go crazy all day??). Also just taken massive delivery of boxes - which I had to get the delivery man to bring into the hallway as DH is at work. So we now have all of the functioning parts for the snuzpod and travel system has just arrived from mamas and papas too Grin so hoping to get that built this afternoon! And means I can go in the shower now I didn't want to incase I missed the delivery.

skyra13 · 28/02/2015 10:20

Penguin My baby is so lazy and guaranteed every Friday she goes dead quiet on me seems to be her patten she moving about this morning but I kind of wish she wouldn't as its really hurting me at the moment I kind of wish she would drop as I am really not enjoying my bump at the moment! :(

FiRaffe · 28/02/2015 10:22

Mumhum - I have found people are usually asking if we should go and sit down together so I can rest. I'm sure people will and at least at a wedding you'll be sat for the ceremony and meal at least hopefully!

Penguin - my baby only seems to wriggle during the day (or at least that I notice). Mainly in the morning and then evenings when i'm going to bed, but not waking me thankfully!

Nunkie · 28/02/2015 10:37

Hello new thread (thanks Boo)!
What's the name of the Facebook Group btw? Might venture on to it if I have time.

Penguin - re the Perineum Massage they told us to start around now (which for me is 34.6) so it's not too late... and if you're supplimenting it with the Epi-No (or alternatively a butt-hole-inflator! Grin ) they seem to say 37 weeks onwards.

Phew - just had first properly decent nights sleep for ages. Must have been helped by some rough-and-tumble last night :0D

Moomin I'm also worried about copping on too little sleep. It's like kryptonite to me. Luckily DP is a bit more night-owlish so I'm hoping he might be able to steer the ship a bit post 9pm (shame he can't breastfeed. Tho he keeps joking that I shouldn't make assumptions. At least I think its a joke... ! Hmm)

Nunkie · 28/02/2015 10:47

PS: Welcome Mumhum - you're due the day before me :0)

Brumma I'm also interested to know the name of that program so I can look on catch-up!

Skyra - feel better soon!

MoominMama22 · 28/02/2015 10:51

Hiding I think I've just found the prog on iPlayer, Childbirth: All or Nothing, I presume that's the right one, going to watch it in a bit.

Yeah nunkie I think the breastfeeding session in my A-N class has only served to make me absolutely terrified of this impending doom of lack of sleep. I'm hoping, and I've said this to DH, that I can wake up, feed and doze off again while he changes or comforts bubs. He tried to make me promise we won't fight..... What's the point in promising something so unrealistic I said!!!

Hidingthefear · 28/02/2015 11:12

That's good to know re child Benefit. I'm thinking of just opening another account for it to go in and let it just add up and maybe even give it to ds when he's older or something.
Thanks moomin will have a look :)
Welcome mumhum hope you can keep up lol

TinyTear · 28/02/2015 11:12

For the Facebook group pm me your real name and I can try to add you (need to add you as a friend first)

Or Boo or one of the others, not sure how much I'll be online today...

It is a secret group so no one knows it is there...

FiRaffe · 28/02/2015 11:44

That's what we intend to do Hiding. My mum and dad were luckily in a position where they could do that so when I went to uni they gave me the account which had about £13k in, which paid for my rent etc.

skyra13 · 28/02/2015 13:02

Just watched that programme on iplayer and got to say no offence to anyone but carrying the placenta around after its the strangest thing I have seen, and adding salt and rosemary to make it smell nice kinds gross and just seems an extra burden carrying around that bag!!

PenguinPoser · 28/02/2015 13:04

I'm watching it now skyra!

Lauren82000 · 28/02/2015 13:37

We decided to take DD to the local water park. Place is heaving but at least I'm not in the pool. Having to chug water like it's going out of fashion it's so hot in here hope I don't over heat! Not quite sure how water gives you heartburn but it is Sad and I put my knitting bag on the floor not thinking it will be soaking in the tables and chairs area. Now the bottom is all wet! I'm sure DD is having fun with DH somewhere, so it's worth it.
