Hello oneeyedwilly!

Lauren and daholster sorry you're both feeling rubbish this morning. So much bad sleep around as well... I finally got back to sleep about 5am for DH to wake me up at 6am as I was snoring again Sad then he ended up down on the sofa which upset me as well! Feel so rubbish, felt like I was getting a cold last night and nose is worse and my sinuses and front of my head are sore and congested. Feeling sorry for myself! I'm feeling ready to meet my baby now! Although would rather get to 37 weeks.

Brumma I'm having difficulty drinking enough as well, just don't really fancy it! Trying to focus on drinking more although it's not very motivating when I have to go to the loo every half hour!

Anyway hoping to take it relatively easy today, Sunday lunch at my grans then tea with 2 best friends later on.

Nunkie · 08/03/2015 11:23

Just doing a quick thread catch-up and wanted to wish you all the best Rusty! - Exciting times! Smile

(Chuckling at all the hiccuping going on too, ladies :0) Glad its not just Peanut! I do eat rather a lot of chillis and wondered if that might not be helping :0D)

skyra13 · 08/03/2015 11:26

Nunkie mine hiccups at anything!! Mainly drinks though :)

Lauren82000 · 08/03/2015 11:37

And mine barely hiccups at all. It can go days between getting any and it's my only way of knowing which way up baby is. Wink

skyra13 · 08/03/2015 12:12

36 weeks for me today shizzle getting real ladies! lol

Congratulations babiecakes so pleased you're home and all is well Grin

brummagem · 08/03/2015 12:30

Flowers babie congratulations! Sounds lovely I can't wait to meet my little one!

That lemonade idea sounds fantastic I'll give it a try! Thank you! I know what you mean on the every 30 min loo visit it's like cystitis but without the burn!

DH was blowing raspberries on my bump last night then started talking to it. He's such a retrosexual mans man type of chap it really shocked me! Think he'll be all earth father then I can go back to work. Really worried I'll not want to go back but looking at my likely September intake I think I'll need to. I'd rather be there to get them settled how I want rather than to pick them up after Christmas when they could be all over the place but then I don't teach inner city deprived areas for the easy ride. Grin

Hope your nights sleep is much better tonight!

daholster · 08/03/2015 12:31

babiecakes that's wonderful news! I'm so pleased, how lovely to be home Smile

rusty hope all is going ok!

Have decided I am definitely getting partial obstructions. Google diagnosis... Combined with common sense.... I've only had total ones before caused by food getting stuck near the exit and managed to resolve those. This time I have exactly the right symptoms for partial... Noisy guts but only gas and water, waves of pain and nausea. Sadly both my stoma nurses have eft so currently without one to ask... But advice from stomawise website etc is stick to clear fluids and not eat. Well, it's happened 2 out of the last 3 days. Think I might be losing weight this trimester at that rate! Will get on the phone tomorrow if it doesn't settle Sad

Lauren82000 · 08/03/2015 12:49

Yay Babiecakes finally home.

DH has come back without DD so we have a full afternoon child free. MiL may even take her out for tea which is a bonus!Smile

TheBooMonster · 08/03/2015 13:24

welcome the the thread oneeyedwilly sorry you had such an awful dream, pregnancy does seem to make them considerably more vivid!

Yikes daholster hopefully it's just a bug and not an obstruction, as that's the last thing you need! fx this baby doesn't decide to take their time and come late!

Sorry to everyone who had bad nights, I actually slept ok in the end, but I did go to bed at something insane like 8:30! had a few wake ups but managed to sleep most of the way through, and then stubbornly refused to get up with DD this morning so DH had to do it I keep thinking I'll sleep better once the baby is out, not least because I can sleep in my front again! But I expect that's pretty wishful thinking, especially breastfeeding!

Still getting the on and off period vomity sensation and I can't lay on my back not sure if I'm coming down with a bug or if things are starting to get moving... either way I'm using it as an excuse to be lazy!

daholster · 08/03/2015 13:30

Oh dear boo! Decided to bother my old stoma nurse (who has left but said she'd always be my nurse and friend so... Facebook messenger!!!) She said it sounds like obstruction, try little bits at a time, toast, soup... Try to keep it going not just stopping up. Ugh.

If I'm no better tomorrow I'll double check with the hospital. Poor dh is knackered and I know feeling frustrated with me Sad and yesterday I was so good and so up for house sorting today. Feeling a bit sad, esp since he is off to Scotland again tomorrow Sad I want to make him happy not sad! annoyed and exhausted!

It's all me me me again... Sorry.

TheBooMonster · 08/03/2015 13:46

hugs daholster you can't help being ill, and no matter how frustrating he might find it, you're the one who's experiencing it so it's far worse for you!

minipie · 08/03/2015 14:49

babie congratulations on baby Sarah and great you're back home! Sounds like she is doing well Smile really good weight too.

rusty good luck for the induction tonight or tomorrow! Hope you have managed to get some sleep by then too. I guess there would have been quite a few post birth blood tests anyway given the GD.

daholster poor old you, glad you've got some advice and don't worry about not being able to do things - I can't do anything much at the moment and I don't have stoma issues...

36+1

Lauren82000 · 08/03/2015 16:46

Yay me, finally went through some old baby clothes and stuck them in the wash. Threw in a blanket and some muslins for good measure too. Feeling slightly more prepared now. Just have to wash the Moses basket bits and I'd say I'm ready. (Except the nappies. Don't have any of those yet. Or my hospital bag.) Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 08/03/2015 17:05

Well done to your Dh Rustyzilla! And glad they're keeping their eye on you closely.

Welcome Oneeyedwilly!

If I've had a few days I feel I haven't drunk enough I keep a glass of weak squash topped up all day Brummagem and sip it as much as I can. I'm similar with water but do feel thirsty some days which isn't good.

That's lovely HeyitsHolly!

Sorry you've had such a bad night daholster, have you told your Dh just how exhausted you are? If you're just soldiering on he may genuinely not realise that you need him to do more with your dd or let you get more nap time? Sorry to hear you think it's an obstruction and hope you get it sorted soon.

Better to get it sorted sooner rather than later if you think it's sinuses PenguinPoser. Dh had sinusitis which turned into polyps over Christmas and he was very ill.

Great news babiecakes11, try to enjoy her and not worry too much!

I have done all cutting in today, shopped for dss's mums Mother's Day present and picked up some baby clothes in sainsburys as well as a canicross run this morning. Now at my mums for dinner. Dh has annoyed me as he promised to bring a tray and roller home from work as he said ours were not in good condition so chucked them and hasn't. So now everything is in the middle of the room and will probably have to wait until next weekend to finish :(

cinnamongreyhound · 08/03/2015 17:07

I've got 4 different types of nappies as I was a huggies mum before so have to try different options this time. Got a couple of reusables for now, sainsburys, Tesco and pampers. Pampers are sooooo much more expensive though, hadn't realised just how different in price to supermarket brands they were.

Lauren82000 · 08/03/2015 17:55

DD came back from grandmas with a bump on the head, a scrapped nose and a bust lip. Apparently she fell at the end of the road running with her arms in her coat! Poor thing but we have warned her to keep her arms in her sleeve! I guess it's one of those things you have to learn for yourself.

Her nose does look a bit swollen on the end but she says it doesn't hurt. Happily munching away on haribo.

IvegotaCaveTroll · 08/03/2015 18:44

Daholster don't worry about moaning. I think u are coping amazingly. I would be a wreck. Please look after urself (I hope u r not working still). Accept any help u can.

PenguinPoser · 08/03/2015 18:59

Thanks cinnamon I'm pretty sure it's just viral/cold at the moment but will definitely keep an eye on things. I also have loads of different types of nappies to try! Well 3 - pampers asda and Aldi.

Lauren hope your DD is ok - although sounds like she is if she is eating haribo, always a good sign!

Daholster agree with others - take it easy, plenty of fluids, call hospital tomorrow if it's still not right.

Hope things are still going ok Rusty!

Finished packing my bags now Smile

Wineandchoccy · 08/03/2015 19:02

Lovely news that you and baby Sarah are home babie enjoy every cuddle.

Sorry you are not feeling great Daholster

Hope your DD is ok Lauren

I've got awful heartburn today and we are supposed to be having a curry later which will probably make it worse, oh well will have to have gaviscon for dessert!

skyra13 · 08/03/2015 19:27

I have got morrisons, Asda, aldi, boots and Tesco nappies to try, hoping morrisons or aldi will be the best as they are closest to me Grin

Just had a lovely dinner at in laws but feel so full think my maternity jeans are becoming a little small cant seem to walk well in them and bump feeling abit squished do not want to buy any more cloths so think will be living in leggings!!

daholster · 08/03/2015 19:45

Thank you all! Aiming to work my half days Thursday and Friday but no more. Need to get all my paperwork and training stuff in order! Then one evening 6 hr shift on 18th. Then I'm DONE.

dh just said I seem so much further on than I should be, he is worried that he is going to have to make the dash back from Edinburgh in a couple of weeks time. I think I just look and feel more pathetic because of the issues I'm having and how knackered I am with him being and having a toddler.

Though he said today "is there anything that would make you feel better?" To which I said... "Er, having a baby?!" Confused

He has been outstanding this weekend. He has done pretty much everything, cooked dinners to last me the week, stuff for the freezer, lots of washing, looked after dd all day, brought me no less than 3 cups of tea in bed (none of which I managed to drink but the thought was there) and went to the shop to buy me sorbet. As well as taking stuff to the tip and doing the shopping while dd napped.

Dad is coming tomorrow until Wednesday. I just have the morning to contend with, and missing dh... I don't want him to go Sad

BrixtonBunny · 08/03/2015 19:47

Ooof. The new house now has a painted kitchen, and all the appliances have been delivered, ready for the kitchen fitter to come on Wednesday. Feeling extremely achey and knackered but it's something to tick off the list. I've come to terms with the fact that when we move in the dining room and the guest room will still be bare plaster. Confused I think it's all going to look much better once the floors are sanded and varnished, the dust has been cleared up, and the windows are clean!

Just need to get through the next five days of work and then I can focus on house stuff properly, thank goodness I'm working from home tomorrow!

daholster · 08/03/2015 19:47

*with him being away and having a toddler...
