username that is AMAZING! Truly fantastic news - just goes to show that it truly ain't over till the fat lady sings.

winter thanks for your kind words. There are so many reasons I want this one to succeed - not just because it's been a rough few months. I also have this feeling that this might be our last chance, what with my age. As it stands I'm freaking out daily about another mc. It's crazy how attached you get so quickly. I can't believe I've only known for just over two weeks; it feels like F-O-R-E-V-E-R. Thinking sticky thoughts for all of us.

crumbelina I also so got busted last night! When I declined a drink, there was a split second of recognition on our host's face. He let it pass, but he sooooooo knows. And his wife therefore knows too. They only thing I've got going for me is that they might just go, "Nah, she's too old, surely?" Anyway, turns out I'm not the accomplished liar I thought I was. Rats...

Going to be standing room only on this bus soon! Woo hoo!

WinterBabyof89 · 01/03/2015 17:34

I'm sooo with you about the time dragging amanda .. Lovely name by the way which I happen to share but don't tell anyone.. Shhh

Def get attached early.. It's weird isn't it!? I guess it's the hopes and dreams that are attached to these little embryos that makes them so valuable to us.. We've vested so much time into them into such a short period we're bound to feel a connection of sort..

Random question - any knitters on this here bus? Would love to share baby projects along the way - we hopefully have 8/9 months to fill Grin

Wow username that's amazing! How far along are you? I don't know how i'd react to a twin pregnancy!

winter I crochet a bit. I was too ashamed to show my dreadful bobbly blanket on the Feb bus but I did admire everyone else's amazing work!

WinterBabyof89 · 01/03/2015 19:21

I might try my hand at crochet again because some things are better when you crochet them!
I think your bobbly blanket will be lovely - always nice to look back on something you've made even when they look like a dog got at it Grin

Hello ladies! Hope everyone has had a chilled Sunday. I just nodded off to sleep on the sofa-feel like I had a skinful last night when all I drank was water and a glass of pop. Shattered! Have come up to bed already and have new, freshly washed bedding on - ahhh!!!

Is anyone else getting aches/cramps by the way? I'm 5 weeks today. Thank you to whoever posted the link to the spacefem website-it's really encouraging to see the chance drop every day (sorry I can't remember your name).
username that is bloody brilliant news! Like others have said, it's lovely to read everyone's stories.
winter my nan taught me to knit when I was a child. I think I only ever knitted a hat for my Sindy doll though!!!

BowiesJumper · 01/03/2015 20:52

Hey feather. I'm still getting mild cramps (I'm 4+1). Read my post above for what my doc said. All normal!

CishAndFips · 01/03/2015 20:53

ohh i know the feeling feather ive been so tired all day. just come up to bed. i so love that bath clean pj fresh bedding feeling.

Tinymrscollings · 01/03/2015 21:15

Twins! Wow, username, congratulations!

I'm 5+2, Feather, and have just come through a couple of very crampy, achy days. Some of it I think due to hefting my giant 3 year old about with little regard for my loosening ligaments and partly due to pregnancy. A couple of swigs of DS's Calpol (disorganised, no grownup paracetomol in the house) seemed to ease them. Saw my friend who is 9wks yesterday. She was cramping at 5 too. Her DH is a GP and said cramping at 5/6 weeks totally normal. Just things settling in.

I cried twice yesterday - once because we went to pick up our new car and I felt sorry for the old car, once because I didn't know what I wanted for supper. It's happening ??

Tinymrscollings · 01/03/2015 21:16

I'm also in my bed. No nap today, done in.

feathergirl1 · 01/03/2015 21:36

Thanks all. Just read your post now bowie ??
When do you usually have the first scan? I thought it was 12 weeks but my mum said 10 weeks.
Tiny you made me chuckle reading that (sorry!). We're hoping to move house soon and I know I'll be really emotional if it does go ahead.

ShortLashes · 01/03/2015 21:41

That's fab username! Are there twins in the family?
Has anyone downloaded a decent pregnancy app? I've got Glow Nurture after seeing it recommended on another thread and it seems pretty slick so far.

newbian · 02/03/2015 07:12

Hi all, going to be a bit greedy and join the November bus after taking a seat on October. Only because EDD is Oct 28 so I'm 5+5, many of the ladies there are a lot further along than me and possible this will be a November baby anyway.

This is first pregnancy, TTC about 8 months. Got my BFP last week after two positives, CB digital said 2-3 weeks (my period was a week late when I tested). I had a doctor's appointment for something else the next day so he did a urine test in the office and confirmed as well.

I had major fatigue at the weekend and nausea but symptoms have started to subside so I'm of course worrying that something has gone wrong.

BowiesJumper · 02/03/2015 08:45

Hey newbian ! Congratulations on your pregnancy. You must have been getting a bit over ttc after 8 months. We were only trying 2 but I can see how it would take it's toll.

I'm holding off on doing my 2nd cb digi so I can see the weeks tick from 2-3 to 3+ at the end of this week!

I've got a weekend away with friends this weekend. It's always boozy so I'm going to have to wheel out the unconvincing excuses for not drinking! Will tell my closest friends I think.

newbian · 02/03/2015 09:08

I was COMPLETELY over it! First few months I had no caffeine or alcohol, quit rigorous exercise (spinning and hot yoga) because of fear it would prevent conception, etc. And nothing. Then my cycles went haywire so even though about 8 months it was only 6 cycles. I even had an ultrasound to check everything was OK down there.

Last month decided to ease up. No more OPKs, drank if I felt like it, espressos in the morning. Stopped posting on Mumsnet. And of course this is when it happened! Oh the irony.

kep1979 · 02/03/2015 10:30

Wow usernamedilemma - what amazing news!! And what a rollercoaster you've been on over the last few days!

winterbaby I knit and cross-stitch - cannot wait to start on my Debbie Bliss baby cashmere knits - just don't want to tempt fate! I may order some neutral wool to start after the first scan.

feather I am getting cramping on and off - I'm 4+3 today and am presuming it is just everything stretching and settling.

annbag & gandalf - I will having an elcs too - so baby will probably be the end of October (due date 6 Nov) - I had an elcs with ds1 (as placenta failed so no waters - he was 3 weeks early) and an emcs with ds2 (was booked in for an elcs but he decided he wanted to arrive sooner!).

AFM I am just trying to decide when to book an early reassurance dating scan - I don't want to call too early (that fate lady can be a bitch) but then again I would like it at 7/8 weeks and don't know how busy they get.

Finding it hard not to tell my boys - this will hopefully be number 3 (first with my new dh) and I share everything with my boys. Want to wait until after the 12 week scan, but it's going to be a long wait! Mind you, I came off the pill in 2011 so this little one has already kept us waiting!

tootsroots · 02/03/2015 10:42

Welcome Newbian we too were tying an awful long while and i had given up in my mentally long cycle in Feb ( ov CD42 or something) so congrats - i know what a relief it is, TTc is sooo difficult.

I am 4+5 and still no symptoms other than being tired. I have had TERRIBLE Diarrhea( So sorry TMI) both on Fri and Sunday and am freaking out,was ok Sat but now i am in a panic as it was awful both days and the opposite of a symptom. Do i call the GP? Will they care as i am so early in pg?

I am taking Pregnacare PLUS, what is everyone snaffling vitamin wise?

BowiesJumper · 02/03/2015 11:35

I'm finishing up my pregnacare conception this week, and then next week will be on the boots ones, with omega 3 capsules. The conception ones have almost the same ingredients as the pregnancy ones.

Gandalfthegreige · 02/03/2015 11:47

morning ladies...feeling bleeeurgh already :( horrible morning sickness nausea. anyone else suffering? at least im not as knackered as last time. Finding it hard to keep quiet, have told one of my close work buddies as well as family, but also don't want to jinx myself :)

kep1979 · 02/03/2015 12:24

toots & Bowies - I am having vitamin stresses! I can't swallow tablets unless they are minute (like contraceptive pill sized) so during ttc I have been taking the Sevenseas ttc as they are ickle, plus a teeny vit D & suckable vit C. Now I really want to swap to a "proper" pregnancy supplement plus omega BUT I know I can't swallow them, so would have to chew or cut up into about 100 pieces. Plus the Omega can't be done like that so again would have to chew (and then most likely vom) or find something to eat it with. No idea what to do!

gandalf - I've had a couple of mornings feeling a bit bleurgh but no proper MS yet - I think I started later with my boys - so expecting it to start about 6 weeks. I am knackered though!

BowiesJumper · 02/03/2015 12:54

I'm terrible at taking tablets, but I shove them right down the back of my mouth and gulp gulp gulp loads of drink. I've trained myself to do it! They are blimmin massive though.
