annbag exactly the same for me - I remember the day it stopped because it was my 20 week scan. I don't remember it with fondness, although I would welcome it now as a sign that my hormones are firing! I've had a bit of low-level nausea in the last week or so, but nothing much. I also had to tell my boss early because I was only making it into the office 2/3 days a week! He was really supportive - I was very lucky. I'm not a bad liar, but there was no hiding the green undertone...

Focusfocus · 26/02/2015 11:21

Hello all!

I am focus - 30 years old, pregnant with DC1 due early November. I'm a (pleasantly) shocked instadiffer who got a bfp in the sleepless night between 9 and 10 DPO on thsis first cycle of trying. I've got no family on this continent but have a lovely DH. My own lovely family is gazillions of seas and countries away. I'm also mum to a 6 month old furry pooch - a perfectly trained, kind and tiny little ball of (non shedding) fur who won our hearts when she lay on my palm at 12 days old.

I have been ridiculously fatigued since 9 DPO. I crash on the sofa all day when working on my tablet and had to leave work halfway one day. Also getting AF type cramps, tons of saliva, a very sore right nipple and the fatigue is mind blowing.

Have done two clearblue conception indicators, two boots, two frers - and I need to get a grip now. going to buy more frers tonight on her credit card as it's not payday yet, to check line darkness obsessively

Got a gp appointment for Monday, will be officially late on Saturday if this bean sticks (hence pissing on so many expensive sticks). Very happy to read about you all here, hope we all have a lovely journey.

Crumbelina · 26/02/2015 11:22

Thanks Amanda - I’ll definitely get myself some! I'm also starting to feel the beginning of morning sickness. It’s still very low level but I'm a bit worried about my train commute (about an hour into Central London) and then work itself. I guess we take it a day at a time …

Suffocation holes! Grin

AmandaMae · 26/02/2015 11:41

Nothing like carrying a leaky bag of sick [embarrassed]

Welcome, focus! Congratulations! I'm also POAS obsessively - bought some more internet cheapies for every second or third morning, and another CB Digital which I will use tomorrow morning so I hopefully see 3+!!!!! And that's on top of the 2x FRERs, the three CB Digitals and the rest of the internet cheapies... I could resolve Africa's debt with the money I've spent. When I saw my GP earlier in the week, he said one is enough. And I asked him if I was the only pregnant woman he'd ever met...

Just got a scan through the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit - next Friday. Just another 7 days to go before I hopefully see a heartbeat. And that will be one hurdle crossed. I should see a heartbeat at that point, right? By my reckoning I'll be 6+6 by then.

ReeRee86 · 26/02/2015 12:03

Hiya girls, just checking in!

Welcome to any additions.

My heart is breaking for juniper, just awful.

I hope you are all doing alright! I'm still knicker checking and taking tests every couple of days!

Went to see a medium last night (I know some people don't believe in that guff so please forgive me if you think it's a load of crap!) Nobody knows (apart from my husband) about my pregnancy and he asked me outright if I was and said he was being shown a baby scan picture. He told me that he has a good feeling about it and that I should relax. I know it might sound ridiculous but it was exactly what I needed - not going to hold him to it of course, but I am feeling a little more relaxed!

AmandaMae · 27/02/2015 08:06

RR86 whatever helps you feel more relaxed is a good thing IMO.

I took another CB Digital this morning - saw the 3+ so feels like my HCG is going in the right direction. Another little milestone...Smile

excitedforbaba · 27/02/2015 08:33

Sorry ladies to just burst into your thread.. it popped up on my active chats! I can not believe there is a November 2015 thread! i was on the November 2014 thread!

Just want to wish you all the best of luck with your pregnancies, mine seemed to just fly in (apart from the last 2 weeks) and I'm now wide awake after a fab nights sleep wile my gorgeous 3 month DD is still sound!

Enjoy every minute of it as it all seems a distant memory to me now! Grin

Ps the knicker checking never stopped for me..although coming to the last few weeks you be desperate to find something that indicates the end is in sight!

Crumbelina · 27/02/2015 08:51

Welcome Focus and thanks so much Excited! I think many of us are at the stage where we still can't quite believe it!

Good luck with your scan Amanda! I think I'm going to book one in for week 8/9 just for the hell of it. I think I'm going to buy a proper pregnancy test as I only did two cheapies (both strong lines though). After so many BFNs I was too scared to pee on any and only summoned up the courage on 4+5!

Not feeling nauseous today but I'm so irritable! I think staying with the in-laws (lovely as they are) is starting to grate a bit ...

Crumbelina · 27/02/2015 09:02

Just realised it's Prosecco Friday at work today (which I started!). I think the toughest thing is the non-drinking excuses. Off to dinner with a friend tomorrow night and she's never known me not to drink!

BowiesJumper · 27/02/2015 09:10

Morning! So I've resisted joining this thread so far as I'm terrified something will go wrong. But I was due my period today so it's starting to feel a bit more real.

I tested on Tuesday and got a bfp and have (on several brands and tests Blush ) since.

I have pcos and had crazy temperatures (charting) over the month so thought I wasn't ovulating, so had booked in a doctor's appointment for this morning to get my bloods done. Well it turned into a first pregnancy appointment instead!

She didn't even get me to pee on a stick or anything, just took my word for it! Just weighed me, took blood pressure and then gave me a booklet, told me about what not to eat, to take folic acid and when the various appointments would be. She wants me to tell her what hospital I want to give birth in etc. I thought it would all be a bit more cautious seeing how early on I am!

She did tell me my mild cramps were normal and the spotting I had on weds was normal too but to get in touch if there was significant bleeding or pain on one side.

Oh and I'm 34, 1st pregnancy, edd 7th Nov.

ReeRee86 · 27/02/2015 09:34

Hi girls and welcome bowies

I am pleased to hear what your doctor said about the mild cramps and spotting. I had some spotting (stopped now) and still have cramps so it's nice to hear it is normal!

I was wondering when the rest of you girls are planning on getting in touch with doctor / midwife?

I am naturally a planner so want to get moving with the appointments asap but am also aware that this is pretty routine for them and don't want to appear like a loon! Also have the added complication of needing to change doctors after moving house (two years ago but old doctors was near my mums and I really like it!) thinking it's probably best to move now though!

Well another knicker-checker and obsessive poas-er here. It is slightly comforting seeing the lines darken - I got my BFP on Sunday at 10dpo, now am 15dpo and period due today. I think I will feel slightly better after today.

As for symptoms still the ever-growing boobs and they are v tender. I had a wave of nausea yesterday, but apart from that the main symptom is extreme tiredness. I fell asleep at 7pm yesterday!

We are living with the in-laws at the mo as we sold our house and can't find anything (aarrgghh) and usually share a bottle or two of wine with my MIL on a Friday night. We are going to tell them tomorrow as my boys will be at their dad's - and we don't want to tell the boys until after the scan. But tonight may be tricky - the minute I say no to a glass of wine will be the moment my MIL twigs! I may suggest to DH that we tell them tonight when the boys are in bed.

ReeRee86 I called the dr this week, and they booked me in for when I'm 6 weeks for the first appointment - think it will be a bit of a non event really but I am a control freak an organised person so wanted to get the ball rolling.

Hope everyone is well today - TFIF!

BowiesJumper · 27/02/2015 10:00

I said to her - you probably think this is really early but I thought I'd keep the appointment... she didn't bat an eyelid even though I'm not officially "late" for my period as it's only due today.

So I guess, go whenever you want!

Re the cramps, I said - I've been having mild cramps all week, not as bad as period pain, but mild cramps, and she said that's perfectly normal. The hormones are just sending signals to the ligaments and they can start to relax, in preparation for stretching with the pregnancy, and that's what you're feeling, so it's normal.

She said if there is a pain in one side at around 7-8 weeks, then get in contact because that can indicate ectopic.

She said - have you researched the hospital you want to give birth in? I was like, NO! I didn't want to take anything for granted and it is SO early still. But I guess I'll have a google of my options. She did mention one had better parking than another, haha! I guess that's something to consider. And also one has a nice "natural birth" unit with pools etc.

I still feel I'm getting ahead of myself though!

kep1979 · 27/02/2015 10:28

Quick question about Cb digi tests - for those whose tests have ticked over from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks, when did that happen? I did one last night (14dpo) and it was still 1-2 weeks..... I presume it will be in a few days?

I'm not worried or anything, but will feel so good when I see it move Smile

BowiesJumper · 27/02/2015 11:05

I got a 2-3 weeks this morning, but hadn't taken one before that so not sure when the "change" happened. I'm 3 + 6 according to my last period date. I THINK I'm 15dpo (I disagreed with fertility friend!).

BowiesJumper · 27/02/2015 11:20

(That's 3+6 in NHS terms, CB does it since conception don't they, so adds up).

Crumbelina · 27/02/2015 12:08

Thanks for the advice Annbag! I’ve got a 40th birthday in a few weeks’ time and so I’ll be sneaking to the bar alone, buying Beck Blue and decanting it into a glass. I’ll have a think about an excuse for tomorrow. Right now, I feel like I want to hibernate until the 12 week mark.

Oh Kepp I’m the same. We’re always sharing bottles of red with the in-laws and it’s going to get tricky. We do have a house, but it’s an utter wreck – plaster dust everywhere! Hopefully we’ll be able to move in soon but we’ll mostly live in one room and the rest will be a building site!

I’ve got an appointment with a GP next Tuesday (6+4) which will probably just be a formality.

My one slight quandary at the moment is when to tell the in-laws (both in their 70s and have been desperate for their first grandchild for a long time!). We’re going out for my MIL’s birthday when I’ll be 10 weeks exactly and we’d love to announce it as a birthday present. Thinking about it, I’ll probably pay to have a scan a couple of days before so we can announce it with a bit more confidence (if all is ok!).

First craving: Fox’s Glacier Fruits for the slight nausea. Smile
