Welcome Ann.. And congrats! I hope this baby stays put until nearer your due date, although our bodies sometimes have other ideas..
Hope your preemie was okay despite their early arrival?

Hi all, and a special welcome to the new BFPs! Our little group is growing...

Sorry for radio silence - got two really ill friends, and the recent passing of my MIL to contend with.

I hear you all on the knicker-checking. It's a compulsion. Every time I walk away with nothing to worry about, I feel like clicking my heels together on my way out of the loo. Just ridiculous...

A little nausea, especially when hungry, slightly tender boobs, but oh my heavens - the constipation! Sorry if TMI. Got some fybogel to see if that helps. Please, dear god...

I'm probably also an October date but think I will stick here. If DS1 was anything to go by, I'll be late anyway.

Hurrah! Still pregnant at 5+4!

Ha - Amanda, I'm the same! 5+4 and so constipated! Smile

Crumbelina · 25/02/2015 13:19

... In fact I'm so bloated it's making me look like I'm a few more months down the line ...

AmandaMae · 25/02/2015 13:36

crumbelina so glad it's not just me! Anything you've done that helps? I think mine's exacerbated by the progesterone - but it you're not taking any, it's got to be a good sign. Silver linings...

So what's your EDD? I haven't had confirmation from anyone official yet, so I'm hoping to piggyback on yours!

Crumbelina · 25/02/2015 14:00

I've been meaning to get some Lactulose as I think it's ok for pregnancy and I think opinion seems to be a bit divided on Senokot.

I started to get constipated a few days before my BFP and thought "hmmm" but then I've had all kinds of random symptoms over the past 2 years (and all BFNs) so I didn't pay too much attention!

Feel free to piggyback! I think my due date is Saturday 24th October according to this fab site: www.yourduedate.com. Funnily enough, I'm pretty sure my conception date was 31st Jan as I had a scan a couple of days before (just started on Tamoxifen) and the nurse said "Oooh, you'll ovulate very soon - get to it!". Smile

Ooh, and whilst I'm here, this is a good website for seeing your daily miscarriage odds decrease: www.spacefem.com/pregnant/mc.php?m=08&d=10&y=12. This week is particularly satisfying as it seems to rapidly go down ....

Porchrules · 25/02/2015 16:51

Oh Crumbelina - that daily odds of miscarriage table is amazing! I literally feel so much better already - 25% today but only 18% by the time we'll tell our parents which is so reassuring. Had to kind of guess my LMP date as it was actually Jan 6th but I didn't ovulate until February 9th (joys of being totally irregular!) Incidentally - anyone else in this boat? Plays havoc with trying to guess due date!

Thanks Grin

AmandaMae · 25/02/2015 17:15

Yep, those are exactly my dates too! How exciting! Let's hope we stay EDD buddies all the way through!

Sounds like you've had a long journey to get here - you must be so excited. And probably a little terrified too...but then I think we all are. Every twinge and ache is cause for concern.

I'm hoping to get into the early pregnancy assessment unit over the next few days in the hopes of an early scan. Is 5+6 too early? Am I setting myself up for disappointment?

Usernamedilemma · 25/02/2015 17:43

Lovely to read everyone's stories so far, it's great to hear your news and know that we're all manically knocker checking together!
I picked up my midwife booking in form today so will complete and return tomorrow and then should get an initial apt soon... It seems that much has changed in the last 8 years when I was last pregnant!

Usernamedilemma · 25/02/2015 17:45

Knicker checking I meant!! But feel free to check your knockers aswel ladies! :)

Crumbelina · 25/02/2015 17:56

I check my knockers every morning to make sure they're still sore. Wink

Crumbelina · 25/02/2015 18:14

It’s great isn't it Porchrules! Quite frankly the stats could be based on 5 women and I’d still take it as gospel. Smile

We’re renovating our new house at the moment (a complete wreck) and we’re staying with the in-laws for the next few weeks until it’s habitable. It’s all fine (they’re very nice) but I'm desperately hoping nothing goes wrong and any morning sickness holds off. It’s going to be a dead give away otherwise.

Oh, and I'm in the same boat with irregular cycles – they can last anything from 28 days to around 44 so I've had to go by conception date. It’ll be interesting to see if the GP agreed with my prediction ...

Amanda – so exciting – let’s hope so! TTC seemed to go on forever and it feels completely surreal at the moment! I'm not too sure if a 6 week scan is too early (sure others can offer advice). I'm very tempted to pay for an 8 week scan ...

AmandaMae · 25/02/2015 18:31

crumbelina I think I will be going for the full-on harmony test and private scan at 10 weeks (I think I'm one of the older people here at 43, will be 44 if all goes to plan) and am worried about the increase in problems. Don't get me wrong, I know that plenty of people have perfectly healthy babies at my age, and that plenty of younger people have their fair share of problems too. But it will really ease my mind and hopefully stop me worrying quite so much throughout my whole pregnancy. I'm just not sure I can last more than four weeks!!!!! Any vestige of patience I had is well and truly gone. Poor DS and DH...

Crumbelina · 25/02/2015 18:44

Oh gosh, Amanda – if it puts your mind at rest then I’d definitely go ahead and do it! From what I’ve read, lots of people on MN have early scans and say that it’s money well spent for the reassurance it provides.

Juniper44 · 25/02/2015 19:02

Well, a short but sweet visit from me. I'm out. Started bleeding heavily this morning Sad

Hope the rest of you have safe and happy journeys.

WinterBabyof89 · 25/02/2015 19:28

So sorry to hear that juniper FlowersFlowers

Oh, I'm so sorry, juniper. Take care of yourself.

AmandaMae · 25/02/2015 20:49

So, so sorry juniper. I've been there. Take care.

Usernamedilemma · 25/02/2015 21:00

Thoughts are with you juniper x

AmandaMae · 26/02/2015 08:53

crumbelina get some fybogel! It clearly says on the packaging that it's suitable for use in pregnancy, and it certainly seems to have done the trick. Feel like a different person this morning - although pretty exhausted as my snoring DH had me close to committing a homicide in the middle of the night. Lucky to be working from home today. And happy to still be here at 5+5!

Hope everyone is well.

annbag were you very ill? I was quite sick too - not HG, but dreadful. Spent many a tube journey vomming into plastic bags. Learned the embarrassing way about suffocation holes...
