We are already nearing the halfway point! Some of us have already reached the 20 weeks, the rest will follow suit. Let the countdowns begin!

Here is the stats list, please update them with your scan dates and the sex of you baby (if you know it):

Congrats ladies on the positive scan news :)

I think the little boys may be the majority on our board. I wonder if there are more little girls disguised as surprises :)

They jeans sound good value Charlie

Mrs C & Zampa good luck with the upcoming theory/driving tests.

Pram envy from me Fatty :)

I was visiting my newest little cousin who is still only 5lb4oz (4 wks prem, 3 wks ago) Oh my days, he is so adorable and smelt of tiny babies. That will be us before we know it. My babies have never been that size. He is so tiny.

I got the hardest kicks yet last night from lo - and i'm sure she was communicating with us. DH prodded the bump and got a response 3 times Grin Such a heart warming experience - whether it was co-incidence or not :) Gosh, I'm nearly 25wks! One of the 1st due on our board. Fatty we shared due dates before my scan moved mines if I recall correctly.

Well Ladies - I hope you are all looking forward to Mothers Day Flowers
I have been dropping hints this year. I have none of my favourite perfume left :)

I had a wobble earlier for my own mum, I think the hormones are still all over the place ! It only lasted a couple of minutes.

Whoever mentioned 'Baby Brain' - Yes - I'm blaming that at least too :)

broodylicious · 13/03/2015 11:49

Aaah gotta love pg hormones. Crying at This Morning!

jmojo · 13/03/2015 12:23

Our Mothers Day here is in December, i got a beautiful bunch of flowers as I was 10 wks preg! V. Cute on behalf of DH esp. As I was so ill at yhe time!! Don't think I will be getting anything this weekend tho as I doubt DH is aware when the UK mothers day is!!

Aretepetite · 13/03/2015 13:38

Ha, tell me about it Broody, hope dd is getting better and rest.

That was nice Jmojo, you could always make him aware Grin not that I would do that [ahem] :)

Zampa · 13/03/2015 14:13

I've already been told by DP that I'm not a Mum yet so can't expect anything on Sunday. Boo!

Anyone expecting baby girls, do go into Next and look at their Summer Fruits baby clothes collection. Too cute and not in a sickly pink way. There's some fun boys stuff too; superheroes etc. although not sure why girls can't be superheroes...

fattymcfatfat · 13/03/2015 14:27

arrgh. keep forgetting to update the stats. will do it later promise!
I wont get anything on mothers day except the card DS makes at school. Sad its just another day for me

Aretepetite · 13/03/2015 14:43

Zampa I saw it - lovely stuff. Hear hear re : superhero clothes. There are female superheroes so Next ought to get on board.....

Fatty those cards are the best aren't they ? I still have them from over them from DC. The only reason I am dropping hints this year is because older DC have p/t jobs. They will likely still pump their dad for cash though Hmm
Ds2 made me a card for valentines (9yo) and wrote inside 'I love you because you are always there for me' :) how sweet is that. Better than any shop bought card.

Aretepetite · 13/03/2015 14:44

From over the years

I should preview !

Fattycow · 13/03/2015 14:48

Also, I will do my best to get a picture of the pram, but I'm always forgetting things like that...

fattymcfatfat · 13/03/2015 18:06

arete they are. he came home with a flower with reasons he loves me on each of the five petals. they are.

  1. I give him spending money
  2. I am beautiful
  3. I buy him new clothes
  4. I wash his clothes
  5. because I think he is the most important child in the world

Grin bless him

Aretepetite · 13/03/2015 18:37

Damn these blasted hormones, I nearly had a cry reading that Fattymc Grin

That is beautiful :)

jmojo · 13/03/2015 18:55

I seem to have dodged the pregnancy hormone thing, if anything I am more relaxed than before. My DH thinks it is wonderful, i don't bug him about his mess. Little does he know I have plans... mwahaaaahaaa

fattymcfatfat · 13/03/2015 19:14

it made me well up. it just shows you that its all worth it. sleepless nights, the times you have had to run around after them because they are ill when all you want to do is curl up in a ball and sleep for a week, the exasperation when telling them something for the umpteenth time. they appreciate it all really, even if they dont show it all the time Grin

Fattycow · 13/03/2015 22:12

I was completely hormonal earlier this week. Burst into tears three times while watching a move about... ROBOTS!

Morning all thanks for all the well wishes and advice re driving, hope everyone else is doing well!

Had 20 week scan yesterday, everything healthy but baby measuring small, 2 weeks behind and I've to go back for a growth scan in 2 weeks.

Dd2 measured small at a scan at 36 weeks and i got induced at 37. Her scan at 20 was normal and she was perfectly healthy, just a tiny thing! Had a bit of a wobbler yesterday, guilt, what am I doing wrong etc but will have to wait to see what the next scan shows. Its funny I knew fine well I was small, I found a pic of my bump at 20 weeks with dd2 and I am much smaller. I am eating like a horse but still being sick, same thing with dd2 sick the full time. Dd1 was fine, she was a very healthy 7lbs13, I hated the lack of explanation with what happened with dd2, hopefully that they have noticed size much earlier this time round it will help find out what's going on.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Thepurplegiraffe · 14/03/2015 07:14

Mrsc, sorry to hear your scan was stressful. I am absolutely sure it will be nothing you are doing. I was small last time and this (got sent for a growth scan last time) and am also being sick and not eating properly (still under pre pregnancy weight) but as everyone keeps telling me baby will always take what it needs. Most likely your lo is just due a growth spurt, I think mine might have just had 1 as you can finally tell I'm pregnant at 23 weeks. Hope the scan in a couple of weeks reassures you.

Fattycow · 14/03/2015 07:44

Good morning, ladies, how are we all today?

OP posts:
JoY007 · 14/03/2015 07:53

Morning All, happy Mother's Day in advance. Hope everyone is doing great. Mrsc sorry to hear about your scan, I hope it's nothing to worry about, just precaution. xx

BH seems to have vanished and now I am enjoying my treasure moving and kicking without the pain pheew. Sleeping some days is still a pain, getting a comfy position.

I am off to Coventry today to visit DP's mum and treasure's cousins hopefuly should be a fun day.
Badidea I did not read your previous post but caught that you played Bach is that on the piano? Treasure has been listening to a lot of Allemande lately and he loves it, soothes him I think. DP is a grade 8 piano player Smile hence my asking. In fact he is considering training to be a Suzuki teacher so he can start with treasure when he is 3 lol!

jmojo · 14/03/2015 11:48

MrsC unless you are a heavy smoker or drinker it is nothing you are doing to the baby. Sounds likw they are doing the right thing to bring you back for a check.
I would be interested in the blood flow across the placenta. If the growth is still behind at 22 wks they should be doing dopplers which measures the blood flow. But fingers crossed it is just a gltch and baby will grow in the next couple of weeks. Don't think it is you, they really do take what they need.

Charliej86 · 14/03/2015 15:31

Hello all, hope everyone is well?

I'm having a bit of a low day due to lack of sleep, also feel I've hardly seen OH but hoping for a date nite today.

So to cheer myself up, after dropping kids at my brothers for a bake off (good luck to the SIL) I called at my friends small holding to see her and the ponies. Was nice to see them, I miss them would love to ride. Anyone else missing anything?

On positive side lil man seems to be happy and well.

Zampa · 14/03/2015 17:46

Charlie Lack of sleep is a killer. Not looking forward to the sleep deprivation part of child rearing. Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight.

Went for a long drive with DP this afternoon (driving test coming up) and it's so stressful. It's actually turned me to drink (a very small glass of white wine, but much needed). I do miss alcohol, not in a getting blind drunk way but just enjoying a bit more than a unit a fortnight. Have agreed with DP that once lo is weaned, we'll leave it with the GPs and head off to Bruges for a weekend of Belgian beer (and some sleep!).
