Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 22nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 39th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Bat, you're probably going to have to tell him. They can be unbelievably unaware of such things and it'll start to infuriate you after a while.

Bloody hell Tee, did you leave anything for anyone else? Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 21/02/2015 07:14

Towns ah the 8 week nausea hit - you poor thing, it's really not fun!

Yesterday I started properly being able to feel baby. It actually hurt a bit! It was like it was stretching coz I had a poke in back same time as front. My dh is 6'1" so it wonder if it will be tall

What is everyone up to today? I'm taking mum to a posh hotel for afternoon tea as a surprise

DulcetMoans · 21/02/2015 07:42

That was a lovely stoat. I hope today goes as well as it can.

Sounds like your symptoms are starting then town! The nausea hits people differently but mine was that constant hungry sick. Nibble small amounts all the time and drink lots.

Our plan to go to baby show fell through; mainly because I didn't buy tickets as was waiting until after scan and then they stopped selling. The MIL didn't seem keen. She does want to do something though, baby shopping mainly, but I'm still reluctant. Don't want her to spend lots of money!

LaLaLaaaa · 21/02/2015 07:51

You can pay on the door dulcet I think?

Stoat I'll be thinking of you today xx

gaggiagirl · 21/02/2015 08:45

Morning viroids!
tee a 5ft pillow! That's the same size a cm bigger than me. I need one.

I'm 7+2 and one of my 3 colleagues who knows I'm preg was admiring my 'little bump' yesterday....bastards!.....the diet starts today.

batfish · 21/02/2015 08:55

Yeah I think you're right that I will have to tell him, he never has been great at taking hints! The book sounds good la, I will have a look for it.

I think the moment of feeling sick was a one off yesterday and probably not related to pregnancy! Managed to clean the house this morning of all the disgusting alcohol and food related mess and felt absolutely fine! Boobs have been loads less sore for 3 or 4 days now, don't want my only symptom to go away! I was going to tell my grandma at 8 weeks as my mum wants to be here to see her face when I Skype her as it will be her first great grandchild. But next scan isn't until 9 weeks and I'm worrying that the boobs easing off is a bad sign!

stoat that is lovely that you have had support from a lot of people on Facebook, it is so common but nobody talks about it so well done for making the reference to it, it isn't something that should be kept secret.

LaLaLaaaa · 21/02/2015 08:56

Am I the only one with a giant 9ft pillow?

batfish · 21/02/2015 09:03

Would it be too soon for me to get a 9 foot pillow at 7 weeks? Grin

KatoPotato · 21/02/2015 09:08

Sending more love to stoat and lil. What a difficult time but you have to see it as a bump in your road. Our bodies are capable of amazing things and we should never take anything for granted.

I had my own scare yesterday, was going to the salon to get my nails done when from God knows where I tripped and landed flat on my front. As you do with a public fall I was on my feet within milliseconds and straight into the salon where they bundled me into the waxing room for a plaster and anti-bac. My trousers had exploded open at the knees so knew they had taken the impact. But I was in total shock and still went through with my pedicure then got back to my car and phoned maternity assessment who told me just to come up for a check to be safe but go get food first. I drove home on autopilot and got FIL to take me and DH.

All is fine and I had to have a foetal heart monitor for an hour but was still very scary. DH was amazing and kept my calm with a Google list of baby names.

He hates my first choice (Toby) and I don't like his (Frank!) but he was so funny just showing me the screen with names like 'humberto' and 'blaze'

willywallace · 21/02/2015 09:21

9 foot? How does it fit on the bed?!

Ah Kato, don't envy you the name discussion. I hate naming babies.

Chat I'm going to need you to crack out that lullaby again please.

mountaingirl01 · 21/02/2015 09:32

Well, that settles it then, I'm going to get tickets to the baby show when it gets to NEC! There is also an nct sale nearby in a few months...any good?

La, I agree, I have already warned dh that when we start telling people I'm going to be completely open that this is my third pregnancy. I don't think it's talked about enough in rl and if I hadn't had you lot I would have felt completely alone. Especially in my family where the 3/5 of us girls who have babies fell immediately. I've instructed my mum yo tell people as well. plus it regally annoys me when people ask if I'm getting broody now my sis is uoduffed, the one who did a kitten because she saw how hard it was getting for dh and me

Purplecircle · 21/02/2015 10:12

La what a haul! I'm hoping for one off my brother but I'll wait and see.

I never knew pregnancy loss was so common til I had one either

Jealous about baby show. I really want to go. It's in Manchester on 7/8 March and we've got friends for dinner that night, and on the Sunday I'm off to Glasgow for work. Tempted to cancel friends but it took months to find a date we all could do!

Kato, what a scare, glad you're ok though

LaLaLaaaa · 21/02/2015 10:13

Oh god! Kato that sounded a bit traumatic! Glad everything's ok.

Your dh sounds like mine. We've gone through all the comedy names with my surname (Walter, Isla) then he's started on the 'lord' names - horatio, cuthbert. Can't get him to have a serious conversation but oh well!

Still in bed. 9ft pillow doesn't fit so is related to spare room!

ZylaB · 21/02/2015 10:25

We did a baby show in October, I'd recommend them if you can go, was great fun :)

LaLaLaaaa · 21/02/2015 10:55

Oh man I wish id gone to baby show now :(

Fattycow · 21/02/2015 11:02

Someone is being very active inside my tummy today!

RPopz · 21/02/2015 11:14

Well whatever you do, don't wait until you're going into labour to start picking names Grin Wink

Pisghetti · 21/02/2015 11:16

I'm a bit late but Lil and Stoat I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's so unfair. I hope the worst of the physical part is over quickly x x

No shows in my part of the country. There's a banner nearby advertising one in Cardiff. It happened about 2 years ago Hmm

Kato that must have been a fright Shock glad all is ok though.

La that's an amazing haul!! Will save you a packet.

I have the dream genii pillow. I'm very happy with it but either wake up on my back or feel like I'm getting bed sores as I haven't moved all night!

OP posts:
Purplecircle · 21/02/2015 11:22

If we do make the March one, I won't be 12 weeks by then and don't know what we will have given so probably wouldn't buy much

Purplecircle · 21/02/2015 11:28

There's a Birmingham one in May but it's when we are in cornwall and DH won't drive up to Birmingham and back for it! miserable bastard

gaggiagirl · 21/02/2015 11:39

No baby shows up north. Booooo! There are always wedding fayres though. They can fuck off unless there is free food.

Purplecircle · 21/02/2015 11:49

Manchester on 6-8 March but we can't go Sad

townsender · 21/02/2015 13:27

I went into Mothercare this morning and nearly started crying over the tiny newborn outfits, so don't think I'm quite ready for baby shows yet. I just can't imagine having a baby I can dress up in little outfits and cuddle. It'll come, I'm sure.
But I'm nearly at the point where I'm ready to buy maternity outfits, woohoo! Today is a different mission though, going to buy a normal work dress in a size up to tide me over the next few weeks. 4 of my dresses are now too tight, and I'm not ready for maternity clothes or to tell work.

9ft pillow!!!! Amazing.

Very happy to hear about all the active little babies Smile

gaggiagirl · 21/02/2015 14:42

I'm sporting maternity disco pants! Actual disco pants! I bet kato has a pair too!

laurenamium · 21/02/2015 14:57

Afternoon viroids Smile my cars broke so we've been quite restricted over where we could go what with me getting Braxton hicks and shooting pains if I walk to far and paying for it later with achey fanjo and legs Hmm but we managed to walk to the beach today and DD and DP played in the park while I watched from the outskirts! The baby shower last night was lovely too Smile it was nice to see people!

No baby shows here either, which is probably better for my purse but I would have liked to have gone to one I think!
