Ginger, DH has been amazing this past 2 weeks when the nausea kicked in. He has cooked every night, planned out meals for all this week, and told me to wait until the weekend so he could go shopping with me. I managed pretty well until the fruit & veg aisle, where I wanted to gag!! Planning/cooking meals is useless, though when something is put in front of me I can usually eat it. He asks what I want with a meal, or about ideas for tomorrow's meal, and I'm just like 'don't ask, I'm no help, bleughhh'. Don't know how I'd get through this without his support, he's been amazing :)

Choccywoccydodah · 10/03/2015 07:56

What a cramp nights sleep!! I felt sick all night, so much it kept waking me up. And my boobs hurt so bad!! Then my nose was all stuffy so I had to breathe through my mouth and now I have a sore throat :(

Re food shopping, do it online! It's one of the hardest things to do, traipsing around the supermarket I find. Thankfully we've got a Sainsburys local a stone throw away so I've been getting bits if needed.
I've no appetite whatsoever but I'm making myself eat. It doesn't make me feel better, but doesn't make me worse. I managed to cook shepherds pie last night for us all without gagging and it was actually quite nice. Didn't feel any better for it, still felt sick, but didn't feel any worse.

Going out for coffee heave an lunch with a friend today. I haven't told her yet, but I will as the smell of costas may send me over the edge, and I usually LOVE my coffee!! The do those fruit smoothie things right?

Choccywoccydodah · 10/03/2015 07:57

*crap not cramp!!

gaggiagirl · 10/03/2015 08:18

choccy they do fruity slushy things too.

I have constant nausea. I also have a D&V bug. I also have a nearly 4yo DD who has the very same D&V bug Sad I cant look after her properly and there is no one who can help.

sazzlehopes · 10/03/2015 08:52

Sorry for jumping in and posting, I just really wanted to congratulate choccy. I dont know if you remember me from the buses but so pleased to see you here! Hope all goes well and wishing you happy health for your pregnancy! Grin

And good luck to you all, just had an October baby last year. Great time of year for babies!

Choccywoccydodah · 10/03/2015 09:19

Course I do sazzle!! Thank you my lovely, I'm overwhelmed by you lot finding me after I've been off for so long (sob). Big belated congrats to you too!! Hope you're getting on ok. What did you have? Xx

Choccywoccydodah · 10/03/2015 09:23

for those wondering about herbal tea I had this sent to me this morning with my 7 week email :)

gingerbreadmam · 10/03/2015 09:39

oh so glad in not alone. i keep thinking about online shopping and might give it s go next week. i hate food shopping at the best of times.

glad dps are being a good support, my dp cant (wont) even turn the oven on. i can manage eating its just the thinking part when feeling sick i struggle with.

realise after reading some peoples experiences i am quite lucky tho ive yet to be sick, phew.

Stinkersmum · 10/03/2015 11:37

Had another 'show' of brown blood again :(
Again, not a lot but enough to worry me. Still feeling sick though and my Boobs are still tender so fx everything is ok. I've another scan on the 21st. Hoping I'll manage to hang out til then.

gingerbreadmam · 10/03/2015 11:39

aww stinkers what a worrying time. i think the general advice is not to worry if its brown blood if you are worried though might be worth contacting your epu to see if you can get scan sooner for peace of mind.

hope u r ok Thanks

Stinkersmum · 10/03/2015 11:49

ginger we don't have EPU here - I live in Saudi at the moment. It's really tough not having that constant contact. There's no referrals for birthing, no midwife contact etc... All health care here is private. One bonus is the fact that I can go for a scan whenever I like. If I call the clinic I scanned at before they'll happily do another scan. It's all revenue to them and not so much concern for my pregnancy... still in two minds about where I'll actually give birth (if I'm lucky enough to get that far).

Stinkersmum · 10/03/2015 11:49

Thanks for the flowers :)

scatterbrainedlass · 10/03/2015 12:00

Aww stinkers positive thoughts coming your way. I really hope all goes well for you and it's nothing at all.

gingerbreadmam · 10/03/2015 12:04

oh stinkers sorry didnt realise. that is quite tough not having all that support. maybe a scan will reassure you though at least that is accessible.

have a lot to keep you busy between now and baby planning on where to give birth etc.

Choccywoccydodah · 10/03/2015 12:20

So sorry you're worrying stinkers, I'd go for a scan in the next few days to put your mind at ease. I had brown blood for 4 days around 8 weeks with ds and all was ok. The 21st is ages away and you won't stop worrying until your scan x

Stinkersmum · 10/03/2015 15:04

Dh is out of the country at the mo so transport to the clinic is a bit hairy. Women can't drive here and there's no public transport, only street taxis which are dodgy to put it mildly so I don't like using them. A friend/colleague of mine has offered to come with me. If it doesn't disappear again in the next day or two like it did last time I'll go.

Adventuregame · 10/03/2015 15:07

Word of warning !!! If anyone is planning on applying for a 'Baby on Board' badge - don't get it delivered to work address. Luckily I had mine come to the house - thankfully I don't mind the postman knowing !!! It comes in the most indiscreet envelope EVER !!!!! Massive Mind the Bump in big letters across the front of the envelope etc - no hiding what it is at all !!! It fits fine through the letterbox !!!!

AuntieDee · 10/03/2015 15:55

My boobs have gone to a new level of sore today! On a good note, the morning sickness appears to be gone :)

StinkersMum get yourself checked out - it's a long time to wait x

Choccywoccydodah · 10/03/2015 16:14

Lol with the badges. I think someone posted about that on a thread the other day. I hate them with a passion anyway so I certainly won't be getting one!

Stinkersmum · 10/03/2015 19:15

DH is back on the 17th. I think I'll go then. If it is bad news, I really don't want to go through that with anyone but him x

orangeshortbread · 10/03/2015 19:59

Has anybody broke the news to their employers yet? I was going to wait until after the 12 wk scan but I've just taken two days off with sickness and I think people might be guessing. Also coincidentally I have a meeting next week with my boss to discuss arrangements for September (class organisation in a school) and I feel like it would be best to be honest now rather than making arrangements and then changing them in a few weeks.

Fallinggracefully · 10/03/2015 20:09

Hello ladies, I eventually caved in yesterday to the anxiety and had a private scan today. All was well and I am so relieved because I has been preparing myself for the worst for a couple of weeks. I have no symptoms, not even the sore boobs I had with DD, but little bean seemed perfectly happy in there. I've never been to a private clinic before - it was well posh! Sorry to hear some of you are still very nauseous/sick and hoping it wears off very soon. Thankyou to the lovely ladies who were so kind last week when I was worrying so much. Without you I'd probably still be burying my head in the sand and getting more and more anxious. x

crazypuglady · 10/03/2015 20:41

falling I was thinking about you yesterday. So glad you got a scan and bean is fine. Did you get a pic? If so, I'd love to see it.

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 10/03/2015 20:50

hi guys, just another wee reminder about the lovely FB group we have running alongside this one. Feel free to pm me if you want to join Smile

Fizzy13 · 10/03/2015 20:51

I've got a date for my scan, which I'm a little over excited about. How I'm going to survive two weeks I don't know. Also £ 10 for a scan photo seems a little steep. The last hospital I did us at just printed bunches out for free. It had better come in a fancy frame for that price!

Hope everyone managed to eat (and keep down) something tasty today. I'm all about melon at the moment! Definitely needing the hair band round the trouser button trick by mid afternoon.
