shin I know that don't know why I've been poas at all. Paranoia really??

Sundaysmumisfullofwine · 08/02/2015 12:00

7 weeks today for me as well. Just been to tesco for vast amounts of junk food as that's all that I want at the moment.

Anyone else up Manchester way?

butterflycats · 08/02/2015 12:47

The antibiotic you can't drink with is metronidazole but unfortunately it's only really used for nasty kind of infections you're not going to be too happy to declare! Say you're on it for bacterial vaginosis then they're not going to ask you any more questions!!!!Wink

Treaclepie19 · 08/02/2015 12:49

8 weeks for me today :)
Think my sickness is starting. I've spent most of the morning heaving.

ShootTheMoon · 08/02/2015 13:21

Anyone else suffering from itch? I have had awful itchiness for the last two weeks - it itches, I scratch, then white lumps appear in sore red skin. Yesterday I scratched my thighs briefly and today I'm covered in a hand sized bruise with red flecks.

And my eyes are swelling - looks likes hives around my eye socket, itching like crazy (not scratching my face though!) and I feel all puffy. Just woke up with this delightful development today. I've even had itchy earlobes!
Anyone else had this or is it another random pregnancy mystery for me?

GoooRooo · 08/02/2015 16:01

Kittykitty05 I suffered with a blocked nose all the way through my first pregnancy - apparently it's very common. When I reached the second trimester my GP prescribed me a nasal spray (can't remember what it was called, sorry) but said I must use it sparingly, once at night to help me sleep as I was exhuasted.

Sudafed is not recommended - as with most medicines it's not been tested in pregnancy so there's no data on whether it causes problems.

You can take paracetemol no problem.

You might also want to try this method of clearing your sinuses:

Kittykitty05 · 08/02/2015 16:06

Ooh thank you Gooo, I've also found little snuffle bits in Tesco- vapour oil & nasal drops all for babies, so I'm guessing they're fine in pregnancy! Worth a try, making me feel miserable

GoooRooo · 08/02/2015 16:09

I feel your pain. It's really horrible. It's not hit me yet this time but I'm on 7 weeks. I really hope I don't get it again - I really struggled to sleep.

ambientolf · 08/02/2015 16:16

Sundaymum I'm in Manchester too. Near Old Trafford

alien11 · 08/02/2015 16:42

I'm really really worried about tomorrow ?? thinking how would I manage anything if there's no baby/bad news for baby.i go on holiday in 3 weeks. Nerves eatin away at me.

Whatabout · 08/02/2015 16:51

Oh alien, it is hard waiting. Keep reminding yourself that today you are pregnant and whatever happens you will survive.

butterflycats · 08/02/2015 16:56

Same here alien, scan tomorrow at 10 weeks and holiday in 3 weeks for 3 weeks with no healthcare nearby Hmm

ditzzy · 08/02/2015 17:07

10 weeks today and I've spent the entire day completely wiped out with exhaustion. So glad I'm working at home tomorrow and avoiding the 2 hour commute (and 6.15 alarm) Grin

I guess it's all good signs but such a shame when it's been a beautiful sunny day here and I just about made it as far as the garden for half an hour earlier! I don't know how you girls dealing with toddlers at the same time are managing it!!

ditzzy · 08/02/2015 17:08

Ooooo - and good luck for tomorrow alien and butterfly! I'll look forward to seeing your pics tomorrow Wink

Whatabout · 08/02/2015 17:12

Ditzy I have a great DH who has entertained my 1 year old all day. Thank goodness. That's how I am coping, all day nausea today.

ag123 · 08/02/2015 18:24

Same here Whatabout re:DH being a hero. I'm starting to think this exhaustion is not normal...I am literally struggling to move at times...is it because I have a cold as well? I just feel SO drowsy..!

DeladionInch · 08/02/2015 18:27

yup you find out if you made the right choice of partner when you become a parent

Whatabout · 08/02/2015 18:30

Ag123 I have days like that, it's crushing. Hoping I'll get through my week at work. I have to go to Düsseldorf for the day on Friday and I fear I might die!

alien11 · 08/02/2015 19:03

Good luck for tomorrow butterfly

Treaclepie19 · 08/02/2015 19:16

Ugh, anyone else having cramps?
I'm having cramps again. A bit like period cramps mixed with that kinda feeling you get with an upset stomach :/

OP posts:
ditzzy · 08/02/2015 19:26

Treacle - my midwife said to expect some more cramps round about now, I've only had the sneezy ones since the really stretchy pains at 5 weeks, but geared up to expect more after her comments!

Treaclepie19 · 08/02/2015 19:38

Thanks ditzzy :)
I'm really on edge at the moment because I miscarried around this time last pregnancy.

I had the sneezing pain earlier but these cramps aren't nice.

OP posts:
Whatabout · 08/02/2015 19:39

Treacle it could well just be growing pains. I'm having lots of round ligament pain, could it be that?

Thinking of you.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 08/02/2015 19:43

I know it's hard but try not to worry Treacle. The most likely situation is that everything is fine. But remember if you get really anxious/worried that's what things like NHS111 are for.
