So so sorry to hear your news lljeffro Big love xxx

misssmilla1 · 18/02/2015 17:59

becca I was diagnosed with one as a kid. They can bit a bit tilted or a lot - best idea is to drink a lot of water for any scans, the full bladder helps bring it back to the 'normal' position. The only downside is if the clinic is running late, nothing worse than sitting there dieing for the loo!

Jessica32 · 18/02/2015 18:08

IIjeffro I'm so sorry, and I agree your attitude to it is amazing. Look after yourself.

Jessica32 · 18/02/2015 18:14

So sorry for all of you with narrow minded and judgemental family members. It always amazes me. Especially as isn't it supposed to be love to all men, forgiveness, etc etc!
I'm incredibly lucky. My partner is 25 years older than me, divorced with 3 grown up children. My mum is happy as long as I am and he treats me well. Life is too short. Sadly his family are not the same, though I won't bore you with the details. However, his mum was one of the most lovely people I've ever known and we had a great relationship. She knew we were trying and was really pleased and excited, I'm only sorry and sad she passed away in Dec.

Becca83 · 18/02/2015 18:16

Thanks missmilla! I shall take your advice and drink plenty of water Smile

DoctorDonnaNoble · 18/02/2015 18:19

Feeling a little bit sad the past two days. My very dear father passed away before I met DH. He would have loved being a grandfather.

Jessica32 · 18/02/2015 18:38

DoctorDonna, I completely understand. I lost my Dad 2 and a half years ago. He met my partner which I'm glad about, but they didn't get to know eachother. Like your Dad, being a grandfather would have been so so important to him.

StrawberryCheese · 18/02/2015 18:46

I can sympathise with those with 'traditional thinking' families. My mum is the same. When I told her DH and I were moving in together after uni she asked if I was pregnant Hmm when we were planning our wedding it took her a whole year to come to terms with the idea that there would be no church service. She would have disowned me if I started a family before getting married. The next inevitable battle will be a christening. She thinks children who aren't christened misbehave more Confused yeah she's crazy!

I really wish our scan was a week earlier than it is because that way I could write 'love from StrawberryCheese and the bump' in her Mother's Day card and then just wait for the phone call and let it go to voicemail

Mummytogoldie · 18/02/2015 18:47

Lljeffro so sorry to hear, sending hugs :(

Becca I have a tilted uterus sometimes tgey make me clench my fists under my bum and sit on my fists in the scan, if they can't see what they need to they will do an internal scan x

I am really worried tonight I am 12 weeks on Friday and today I have had to change my knickers twice (sorry tmi) because they are wet. It's not gloopy like discharge but like a clear fluid, didn't smell like wee. Has anyone had this? I am very worried

Whatabout · 18/02/2015 18:52

Mummytogoldie im having tonnes of discharge and sometimes when I wipe i can't work out if I've wiped too far down as it can be a touch off colour but only for One wipe. I can't not use liners.

Mummytogoldie · 18/02/2015 19:05

I have been having discharge what about but this seems more watery )/ it couldn't be amniotic fluid thus early could it?

Whatabout · 18/02/2015 19:11

Amniotic fluid smells sweet. I very much doubt it, this early when things go wrong I don't think you leak.

Treaclepie19 · 18/02/2015 19:14

I've been having sweet smelling discharge. Just put it down to hormones.

Cornberry · 18/02/2015 19:19

treacle I think sweet smelling discharge can be a sign of vaginitis. Don't want to worry you but might be worth looking into x

NatalieBee · 18/02/2015 19:25

I had this off colour wiping and lots of discharge and as I said earlier I have a UTI no other symptoms other than strong smelling pee Shock but the midwife did say and my pregnancy app Wink lots of discharge is very normal at this stage x

Treaclepie19 · 18/02/2015 19:25

I had a swab the other week because I thought the same thing and it all came back clear.
I often have problems with irritation and discharge so I'm always thinking ive got an infection when I haven't.

Thank you though :)

Ahh ok that's good. I've got a bit of discharge envy. Since falling pregant ive had less discharge than ever before in my life. Trying not to worry about it - and a million other little things. Scan Friday. Tick, tock...

GoooRooo · 18/02/2015 19:34

Had my scan. Every thing is fine! Baby measures right and has a strong heartbeat. I'm told now 95% chance of going fill term. I am so so relieved. I honestly expected bad news.

Thank you all so much for the support x

SpamAnderson · 18/02/2015 19:38
