Hello ladies!

I haven't updated in a while (sorry been so nervous about the dating scan!):) Hows everyone doing? Hows the bumps? Anyone got their scan dates yet?

I've had my dating scan on monday, although I had a scan at 9weeks (dated 9w2d) and was expecting to be dated 12w3d the little one was dated as 12w6d (officially 13 weeks 1 day today!!) so my due date is now the 25th August. Can I still be part of this thread?

Was lovely to see bump wriggle on scan, stretched, drank and turned her head towards the screen. I could of sat and watched all day. :)

whereswaldo my symptoms reduced at 8w4d and I panicked so much! My sickness died down, my boobs didnt hurt and although i had a early scan at 9 weeks I couldn't help but dread the dating scan,I honestly was expecting the worse. But everythings fine!

goo best wishes for today.

I'm finding it miserable Spam, I'm the sort who usually toasts spices and makes her own masalas and lives in her cookery books.

I haven't opened a cookery book in weeks now and the idea of a curry? BLEUGH.

ElleyBear13 · 18/02/2015 10:37

nutelladipper Just looked back through this thread, we're due the same time! Congratulations! Can't believe we took our tests on the same day and now we're due the same day :) Huge congratulations!

Snowflake15 gorgeous picture of your little bean, you'll be amazed at how much she/hes grown in 4 weeks!

showtunesgirl I haven't cooked a 'proper' meal in weeks I've been living off cornflakes and salad (the only food i can stomach!)

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 18/02/2015 10:40

I'm a foodie too and so many things I've just thought 'meh'. I went through a week where all I wanted was eggy bread. All good now though, last nights dinner was black pudding and poached egg salad followed by artichoke and pistachio stuffed cod wrapped in pancetta. YUM! (we had friends over, we don't normally stretch to three courses on a Tuesday!)

In better news, I had my booking in appointment and let her take my blood! She was amazing and totally understood my past trauma with it. She sussed out very quickly that my issue wasn't the test per se but the vulnerability of taking it from my inner arm. So, she went for my hand instead and no problems! Feel so proud of myself :) pathetic

Redsparklyshoes · 18/02/2015 10:50

Absolutely! I had always thought I would treat my body and fill it with organic veg and fruit. I do eat a lot of fruit but am also eating a lot of carbs! Chips! Mmmm!

shinjuku09 · 18/02/2015 10:52

Well done lastnight!

Congrats on the scan Elley. That's a great pic!

Same diet as Spam minus the pork scratchings. Anything fatty gives me diarrhoea Confused

sauvblanc21 · 18/02/2015 11:02

I just woke up! Which means I've had a 10 and a half hour sleep - deeelightful Grin not moved yet though as not ready for nausea to ruin my day!!! Lovely pic Elley - tres exciting!
I'm a bit wary of a fezbook group and certainly wouldn't wanna go there for several months yet...sounds like some of you will stick it out here on mn though! Hurrah!
Happy Wed all xx

TheMidnightHour · 18/02/2015 11:17

gooo everything crossed hoping for a positve scan for you

lastnight fitness in South Ox was me, I think. I've joined a walking group in Goring (free: GoringGapWalks) and found this: henleybirthcare.com/ which is pregnancy pilates run by midwives. They take you from 14 weeks. Let me know if you join, as we might be in the same group!

Facebook wise, I'd really rather wait until we've told people! I'm never entirely confident that FB secrets will stay truly secret.

Speaking of, we're telling the outlaws this weekend (I'd say in laws but we're not married). DP's parents are likely to be somewhere between 'disappointed' and 'deeply unhappy' with 'thrilled' and 'disown him' as the outliers at 10-to-1. I realised that our 'far away' planned lunch is now 3 days away, and am really nervous now. I'd also thought we'd have had our 12 week scan before The Day but that's not happening now.

SpamAnderson · 18/02/2015 11:20

show I'm a big fruit and veg fan, I love my salad, and my potatoes but just can't stomach it. Up to about 8 weeks, I couldnt get enough salad with vinegar but it's just not appealing now. Baby likes his beige food best I think!
Congrats elle
shin just about everything is giving me a bad belly too. Peanut butter and pork scratchings are the only things not punishing me :( can't eat a meal as I end up in agony 10 minutes later :(

SpamAnderson · 18/02/2015 11:22

Oh dear midnight whys that? Father in law will be angry when we tell him. My nan has just been diagnosed with parkinsons so not looking forward to telling them. I'm hoping I have a small bump this time and can hide it from FIL and my gps until I'm 24 weeks :/

NatalieBee · 18/02/2015 11:44

Had the doctors this morning for a suspected UTI and I had one :( protein, leukocytes and trace blood Hmm which I know as a nurse is an infection but I am so paranoid that the blood is somthing bad when I know it's just an infection ahh Confused roll on scan on Friday! How am I at 12 weeks and still worrying?!

Treaclepie19 · 18/02/2015 11:47

Hope it clears up soon Natalie.

I'm just back from the doctors too - she's given me some lactulose for the wind pain and constipation.

Scan date has arrived... 2nd March! So I'll be 11+5 according to the informal scan 2 weeks ago. Going to be the longest 12 days ever!

Snowflake15 · 18/02/2015 12:31

Elley thank you! Your scan is so cute look at that little nose!

I have also been craving beige - noodles chips bread etc.. At my early scan the sonographer was saying how important it is to eat oily fish and all I could think was barf! DP made salmon the other day - I could eat it once cooked and on my place but omg the smell of it cooking nearly made me puke/pass out all at the same time!

misssmilla1 · 18/02/2015 12:36

showtunes and spam I'm the same; usually I'm cooking up a storm but the thought of food prep makes me want to hurl! Seem to be existing off what I call nursery food atm; lots of bread, baked beans, cheese, jacket potatoes etc and some fruit and ginger ale. Vegetables seem to be the devils work and my sweet tooth ( I do love a good carrot cake / blueberry muffin / any baked goods I can get my hands on) seems to be out of whack.

Also limited to what I can eat because of chronic indigestion; anything fried and crisps are out (can't help but think that may be a good thing Hmm ) also apples and orange juice and I've gone right off peanut butter which is usually a staple!

ditzzy · 18/02/2015 12:38

I can't believe that just as all you ladies are reporting feeling better I've just started with ms proper.... 11+3 and although I'd felt a bit queasy a few weeks ago I didn't actually throw up until Monday morning, now it's whenever I take the wristbands off (showering was a disaster this morning) but then I'm absolutely ravenous in between Confused

Still no scan date if I hadn't had the early scan is be worried by now. I guess I need to chase it up if I don't hear anything this week...

ljjeffro · 18/02/2015 14:07

12 week scan did not go well this morning. only the size of 7 weeks and no heartbeat. had to go to EPU where they talked me through options. Basically im waiting till next Wednesday to see if a miscarriage happens naturally, if not then im booked in for surgery. obviously im very emotional but I never ever thought id get pregnant as quick as I did, so the fact that I know I can get pregnant reassures me a little bit. x

ISolemnlySwearImUptoNoGood · 18/02/2015 14:09
