I am starting to worry. I've been cramping since yesterday and today feel exactly like I do before I have my period - stabby pains. I'm 8 + 1. I have a private scan booked for Wednesday but I'm not sure I'm going to make it that far. No blood so far.

NatalieBee · 16/02/2015 13:11

12 weeks today!! I can't quite believe it!! I made it Shock now just for scan on Friday and fingers and toes crossed baby still has a strong heartbeat!

I caved and got a Doppler it's arriving in 30mins as per my tracker! I'm so exited to use it! As a nurse I should know the sound of diff heartbeats right?! Ah Grin

NatalieBee · 16/02/2015 13:12

GoorooThanks it could be stretching pains? Or I had really bad cramps from needing the loo and trapped wind Confused

GoooRooo · 16/02/2015 13:19

I had what I thought were stretching pains a couple of weeks ago, these are different. I really hope it's nothing. I'm not sure my heart could take another miscarriage. On the other hand - my boobs have exploded over night and now I'm splilling out over the top of them. I'll hold off shopping for new ones until I've had the scan I think.

Congratulations on reaching 12 weeks!

ShootTheMoon · 16/02/2015 13:23

GooRoo I'm now 9 weeks but had the exact same return of cramping sensation at 8 weeks. It was just about when AF would have been due, if I figured it out correctly, and felt very similar to the cramping from the first couple of weeks. I didn't have any bleeding or spotting and it lasted a few days, but has since stopped. I had my scan at 8+2 and everything was spot on. Fx it's just the same thing with you!

GoooRooo · 16/02/2015 13:25

That's good to know, ShootTheMoon. I did wonder if it was just my body thinking a period is due. I bloody hate pregnancy. Took me five years to conceive DS and then I worried for every second, then I had a MC last year and now this one. I'm surprised my blood pressure isn't through the roof.

nutelladipper · 16/02/2015 14:16

I had the scan - all good. one healthy baby. My due date is now 25th August but i hope you'll all still have me here. I'm 12+6 today.

Phew i'm so pleased to have arrived in the second trimester.
Pic attached for those who can see pics!

Any chance of a few votes for mumsnet's own www.woollyhugs.com please? The prize is 1kg of style craft yarn - the stuff that's sent to crafter's to make blankets for eg babies in hospital, children in Bangladesh with cancer - every month for a year.

Treaclepie19 · 16/02/2015 14:24

Gorgeous nutella! Congrats :)

Thanks Whatabout. I'm hoping to fight for a c section so if i succeed it'll be even earlier but yes otherwise i'm fairly certain itll be a sept baby!!

Whatabout · 16/02/2015 14:41

I'm thinking of arguing for a 38 week C-section, my back and pelvis were so wrecked by labour last time I couldn't walk properly for months.

Mummyboo30 · 16/02/2015 14:42

What a great pic nutella! Very excited for mine now, only 8 days to wait! :)

nutelladipper · 16/02/2015 15:06

I've had two bad assisted deliveries with my DD having shoulder dystocia and the risk of that happening again are high. Avoiding detail but my lady bits are like a road map with scars going in all directions which are still sore.

first barrier though is i've a prolapsed disc so i need to be referred to an antheastist to discuss what pain relief i can have (assuming normal labour) and if they say i can't have a spinal then i support i can't have a c-section :(
i'm predicting a long journey but as this is my third and final baby i'm determined to have a positive pregnancy and birth!

Good luck with your fight whatabout

GoooRooo · 16/02/2015 15:15

What a great pic Nutella! Congrats!

Kittykitty05 · 16/02/2015 15:21

Fab picture nutella!
natalie we must be about the same stage, I'm about 12 weeks too and have scan Friday! I tried to change it this am, but as doctors lost my form it's been booked so late I can't go to any of 3 closer hospitals so have to travel a long way for this. Hubby will be working, we couldn't get round that but mum can come (she's thrilled!), just childcare to sort so I don't have two loud children accompanying me and I'll be all set!

WhatWouldFlopDo · 16/02/2015 15:21

I'm out. I've been having weekly scans, and had my 8 week one today. Baby's heartbeat was very slow, like once every 15 seconds slow, so it's on it's way out unfortunately. Please can I be removed from the list. Good luck to everyone else.

nutelladipper · 16/02/2015 15:23

sorry whatwould

alien11 · 16/02/2015 15:30

sauvblanc the machine you used for carbon monoxide testing could have been one my dad invented Smile there are two companies that make them! It's for mums who smoke as they can see how much carbon monoxide gets into the baby :-(
I'm intrigued to see if ones of my dads I have to test with haha.

Fab kittykitty! I am so exited for Friday it feels like forever away tho Shock! Yay to us getting to 12 weeks! How are you feeling? Minus heartburn and the odd few mins of nausea my symptoms seem to have clearedSmile

also used my Doppler and found the heartbeat! Nestled in my pelvis still took bloddy ages to find! The wooshy placenta kept getting in the way! GrinGrin
