Havetea that's hilarious, of all the people to 'run away with' Grin

Last night we went to the ballet, it was my long awaited Christmas present from DH. I knew it wouldn't be his thing but I loved it, even if I could hardly keep my eyes open by the end. I'm usually a night owl, not any more!

We had a group facebook message from friends this morning suggesting that us four couples (uni friends who are now scattered across the country) meet up for a weekend of hill walking in the Lake District... in August Shock Sounds like a lovely idea except I will be nearly 8 months pregnant!

GoooRooo · 13/02/2015 10:33

Have you told them you're pregnant yet Havetea?

One of my friends was due to be getting married at the end of August and I was dreading having to do a whole weekend away when heavily pregnant, but his girlfriend is about to have a baby so they've put it off for another year. Phew.

GoooRooo · 13/02/2015 10:33

Erm, I mean have you told them you're pregnant yet Strawberry? Sorry Havetea!

StrawberryCheese · 13/02/2015 10:54

No, we haven't told anyone yet Gooo. DH does have another commitment in August which we can use as an excuse to not make it but if they suggest a different date then we may have to quietly let them know. Not sure I can keep them hanging for another four weeks until we have our scan. I would love a weekend with them but would feel a bit anxious being so far away from home in case something happens. Plus Scottish DH wouldn't want to risk his child being born in England Grin

I've been having so really vivid dreams too :/
My Doppler arrived this morning, couldn't resist trying it but obv not found him, either the Doppler is poop, I'm poop, he's not there are he's really far down under my pubic bone :/

Hi ladies, I had scan and there was a pregnancy sack there couldn't see an embryo and it was irregular in shape, they want me back in a week to see if there are any changes, but given the fact I'm bleeding a fair bit it's more than likely I'm miscarrying, so I'm hoping it's over with quickly, I think I've started with a bit of cramping, if it happens they will scan again later to make sure it's all gone.
I feel ok I was upset yesterday but I've got my head round it all and at least I've still got my 3 children. I think it would be awful for a first timer and I hope I don't have to go through it again.
I wish you ladies lovely healthy pregnancies and babies, I'll try and pop on in September to see how you all get on xxxxxx Smile

shinjuku09 · 13/02/2015 11:27

Good news elio
Glad you've found some possible ideas midnight

shinjuku09 · 13/02/2015 11:31

Laura I am so sorry to hear that. It is still horrible no matter whether you already have children but I did find, like you, it was a comfort (and distraction) to have DD when mine happened (mine was very similar to yours by the sound of it). I also found I needed to carve out some time for myself as though it is great to have the kids to take your mind off it, sometimes you need half an hour to have a bit of a cry or reflect on it all. Do hope you're ok. Feel free to pm me anytime as like I said have been through something fairly similar x

shinjuku09 · 13/02/2015 11:34

Finally decided to book early scan though hardly counts as early, at 9.5 weeks. Would have been a week earlier but no appointments but DH wanted to leave it as long as poss and I can see his point. But now it's booked in I'm so blimmin impatient for it to come round. Had to cancel a course I'm doing this afternoon as so ill. Hoping the scan will be positive and then reassure me there's a reason for feeling so horrific.

Becca83 · 13/02/2015 11:54

I'll have to leave now too. But for happy reasons. I now have an August due date. Turned out I'm a lot further on than I thought.

That's exciting Jackie! You are always welcome to stay here though if the August board isn't as sociable Wink
