Laura so sorry to hear how things are. I'm keeping everything crossed for you for tomorrow. X

Maths, I've been having prune juice. It's quite horrible but I can manage it as long as I'm not feeling too sick And it does work for me. I recommend mixing it with some apple juice, this helps a lot with the taste and thickness.

Treaclepie19 · 12/02/2015 20:29

I'm considering another scan. Had one two weeks ago at 6+4.
I only get the excruciating pain when I sneeze but I think that's quite normal? The hospital weren't concerned when I went for my scan.

Managed to get through all these posts! Congratulations elsa! Over the moon for you! What a monkey you've got on your hands Wink

Best of luck for the morning laura, I had bleeding with cramps but fortunately everything was ok... I tried to think like you though, what will be will be :)

Anyone else terrible constipated? I'm 9+2 and am not having any other symptoms now (which of course worries me!)

Sweet dreams all those in bed! I'm on the sofa watching Alladdin and eating pizza Grin

GoooRooo · 12/02/2015 21:18

I have the constipation. I wonder if it's the pregnancy vitamins I'm taking.

Lauramum23 · 12/02/2015 21:23

Thankyou guys x
Ill let you know sometime in the morning of the outcome xxx

TerrysNo3 · 12/02/2015 21:33

Just got my genie bras in the post today, super comfy! I'm impressed considering how cheap they are. Smile

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow laura

sauvblanc21 · 12/02/2015 21:36

Made it through GCSE options evening but had to drive home with a plastic bag on my lap as was convinced I was gonna spew. Have gone straight to bed and just dispatched hubbo to buy ice lollies, smoothies and juice. Haven't managed to eat much at all today but the thought of fruity drinks is really appealing! Sleep well all xxx

SpamAnderson · 12/02/2015 21:47

Anyone suffering constipation, have you tried lactulose? It's a syrup and I had it prescribed with dd1. You get a massive bottle of it :) does the trick :) another thing that makes me go to the loo is lots of fresh orange juice.

Whatabout · 12/02/2015 22:08

I seem to be having to do about ten poops a day. Constantly got sore bowels too so not sure if id call it constipated but it is on the firm side.

Hare5260 · 12/02/2015 23:23

Laura Will be thinking of you tomorrow x

gicharlie17 · 12/02/2015 23:25

11+1 for me today. Feeling good, a bit nauseous at times. Hopefully my lack of symptoms means I'm just lucky and not that there is something wrong.

For those with constipation try a product called Scan Bran or Oat Bran. I eat it on on Sliming World. It's basically a very very high fibre Ryvita type cracker. It's very dry so top with Philadelphia and tomatoes or cucumber and consume with plenty of water. It's designed to scrub out your insides essentially so combined with plenty of fruit you should feel better in a day or two. You can buy it at Holland & Barrett or any health food store.

Secondly I would love to join a pregnancy knitting group. Does anyone know of any based in Oxfordshire?

Whatabout · 13/02/2015 05:46

Places not to have a rush of morning sickness - security line at Birmingham airport.

Thinking of you Laura x

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 13/02/2015 06:25

Ugh, so the vivid dreams included a particularly awful one last night where I had a miscarriage. If it hadn't been for the fact this all took place in Antigua, I would have taken even longer to snap back to reality. Not a nice start to the day.

Laura - hope everything goes well this morning, will be thinking of you.

Treaclepie19 · 13/02/2015 07:37

Any remedies for wind? Ouch!

I hope all goes well today laura x

lastnight ive had a couple of those. They're horrible :(

Thinking of you today Laura, I hope the scan goes well.
lastnight here too with the nightmares, a few times I've woken up so so upset in the morning. :(

DoctorDonnaNoble · 13/02/2015 08:00

Hope today goes well laura

alien11 · 13/02/2015 08:02

Good luck laura x

DeladionInch · 13/02/2015 08:16

gicharlie I doubt there'll be a pregnancy specific one, but there are loads of groups. find your nearest craft shop and ask Smile my group were mostly knitting for grand and great grandchildren Wink

elio · 13/02/2015 08:32

Hard to keep up with this thread! Very exciting to hear about all the twins. Good luck Laura with the scan. I got sent to the epu for spotting, cramps and all my symptoms disappearing. I was so convinced it was over that I didn't want to waste the midwife's time booking me in.
Had prepared for the worst and told DH it was not worth coming. Totally shocked to be told it was all ok and that it was 26.6mm long and alive.

Have my booking appointment today.

Am in similar position as I have just moved to a new town and don't know anyone :-( a knitting group is a good idea.

Also, on different note- bran flakes have really helped me!

mspfan · 13/02/2015 08:48

Good luck today laura. Glad to hear everything is ok elsa and elio.

Think I might have to go bra shopping tomorrow, all of a sudden these last couple of days my boobs seem to have got bigger! 7+6 today.

Treaclepie19 · 13/02/2015 08:55

After weeks of waiting the midwife has been in touch and I have my booking in appointment today!!!!! :)

I am feeling all mushy b/c you've all reached out to help me :) I'm going to put this down to pg hormones, and blame that for the wobble yesterday that started all this and finished with me sobbing to DP that we live on the moon and I'll never see anyone again. (Clearly entirely correct and logical!)

Today, I've picked myself up, found a pregnancy pilates class and a rambling group, and am going to work through all your suggestions :)

Gooo Neighbours never occurred to me! Thanks for the idea. Think they're all 50+, mostly 70+ (live opp a retirment community in, apparently, a retirement community) but still worth a go perhaps.

Shin Loads of good ideas, thank you. I'd never thought of Facebook for local stuff!

Suz Goring/Streatley - would love any local thoughts. :)

gicharlie I'd love that, too, and am also in Ox - perhaps we should start one?! I also know a couple of good knitting groups in Oxford, if you're that way located, and one in Wallingford.

GoooRooo · 13/02/2015 09:34

Our neighbours are all retired too - with the exception of two families. I live by the coast so lots of old people. It's actually fine - they are all lovely and DS has lots of adopted grandparents Grin he was swimming in chocolate coins and teddy bears at Christmas!

The only downside is that eventually they will all pass away. I guess then we'll be the old ones!

SpamAnderson · 13/02/2015 09:53

I'm worrying about social stuff too, I have 1, yes 1 friend, and she's aiming to leave the town within the next year. I drive but we only have 1 car with DH will have during the week so I'm going to be completely isolated. Before when I had the dds, I had no friends but I worked 2 days a week so that was my social life. Now? I'm self employed and work from home so really not looking forward to her moving :( kept praying that they'll not find another house, or they'll find another in our town but it's unlikely.

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 13/02/2015 09:55

Well to cheer you all up from the nightmares I'll share my vivid dream from last night, I was single and visiting my parents when Milton Jones came in with a family of relatives visiting us. It was love at first sight (music and everything) and the rest of dream was us figuring how we could run away together as I was only 25. WTAF!!! Not like I've a secret crush i didn't even know his name and DH spent some time this morning trying to figure out who I'd been dreaming about - in between hysterics Blush

would take being 25 again though
