jackie he takes over ish when he gets in from work at 5. But I have dinner all ready for then for dd and us sometimes. It's the washing etc that keeps me busy. The dog walking I could do with dd but then it means we can't go and do things in the morning.
shin I am in bed as soon as dd is in bed so 730! It's madness. DH is finding it quite funny but I think he's secretly loving the sole tv time ha.
I have. Been eating so much chocolate today! So naughty of me but I need to eat constantly to stop feeling icky.
laura thinking of you x

shinjuku09 · 12/02/2015 16:05

Don't feel guilty Alien! We need to eat what we can when we can and I'm sure there are worse things than chocolate too. Haha yep my DH is enjoying the peace and quiet and having control of the remote! Glad it's not just me going to bed stupidly early.

ag123 · 12/02/2015 16:10

Sorry your feeling rotten shin but glad I'm not the only one. Was so lucky ds was able to stay all day at nursery and DH and a friend doing the lifts. I've stopped exploding from both ends now but just so achey I feel I can literally barely move. In fact I've put some flight socks on because starting to get worried about dvt's from staying in the same position. :-s

alien11 · 12/02/2015 16:15

I've watched so many disney DVDs lately! Feel bad but means I get to sit still for longer than 5 mins!

Lauramum23 · 12/02/2015 16:16

Still bleeding when I go to loo quite red now, no pains. At least ill know by 9.15 ish what the outcome will be. I keep being a little upset but I know if it's not meant to be then it's much better now than later x

Lauramum23 · 12/02/2015 16:17

9.15 tomorrow I mean x

ditzzy · 12/02/2015 16:34

Oh Laura, I was hoping we hadn't heard much from you since this morning because you were resting up and feeling better. Fingers tightly crossed for tomorrow morning - you never can tell with these things until the scans have been done.

alien11 · 12/02/2015 16:40

laura sorry to hear that you are still bleeding :( I think you have a good frame of mind and I agree with what you say.its so hard to process but I hope tomorrow brings good news x

ShootTheMoon · 12/02/2015 16:43

shinjuku09 it could be the ABs giving you those symptoms - diarrhoea and nausea are side effects of some antibiotics. I had erythromycin last week and it did the same, plus made me vomit (haven't done so otherwise). Then to top it all off I think I had an allergic reaction to it as my eyes swelled and my skin peeled off, which has previously happened to me with penicillin. Get some decent probiotics in you!

Watch out for skin reactions and swelling - signs of allergy. I wasn't allergic until last year when I had to take lots of ABs due to surgeries. Yuck!

ShootTheMoon · 12/02/2015 16:45

Oh, and I had a scan yesterday - all looks well (just one baby in there!) and measuring a few days ahead of LMP dates at 8+4, which is consistent with having shorter cycles. Saw a heartbeat, limb buds, and measuring smack in the middle for dates, so looking strong. We're going to start telling folk now Smile.

Booking in appt is finally happening on Monday!

shinjuku09 · 12/02/2015 17:18

Will have fingers and toes crossed for you tomorrow Laura. Whatever happens I am glad you don't have to wait too much longer to get some answers.

shinjuku09 · 12/02/2015 17:20

Many congrats on the scan Shoot! Bet you're so excited. Yes I have felt worse do far on these antibiotics. Already had mild diarrhoea and bad sickness but this diarrhoea was on another level - sorry tmi!

TheMidnightHour · 12/02/2015 17:22

Gooo yes, ideally! I don't know anyone in this county (or the next, come to think of it...) and it would be lovely to leave the house occasionally! If anyone has any bright ideas, I'll try them :) I usually join a couple of knitting groups, maybe a fitness class, and take it from there, but am struggling to find anything. I'm in Oxfordshire, if that helps.

GoooRooo · 12/02/2015 17:25

Midnight I moved to a new town before having DS and found it really hard to make friends until I went to baby groups so I sympathise! Are any of your neighbours worth getting to know? We're firm friends with some of ours now. When we moved in we threw a drinks party for the neighbours and it's a tradition that we've carried on every Christmas. About 40 of them turn up!

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 12/02/2015 17:37

I've been in bed at 6.30 every night for weeks, if I don't I vom everywhere. Has become part of the routine - 2yo DS tucks me in then goes off with DH for his bath, comes back to say love you and give me a kiss then skips off to bed. If I wasn't so sick it would be heart breakingly cute Smile

shinjuku09 · 12/02/2015 17:42

Ahh I don't feel as alone, or guilty, now HaveTea! I've not even managed half five tonight before getting into bed! I even tried to get away with it earlier before DH was home but once the novelty of climbing over me wore off, DD got bored.

shinjuku09 · 12/02/2015 17:52

Midnight that sounds tough. Just some random ideas off the top of my head as I've moved to a few places not knowing anyone (sorry if you've already tried these or if you can't get to them easily)

*Exercise classes can be sociable if you choose the right one. Maybe difficult if you're pregnant but how about looking into pregnancy ones?
*Our local buying and selling pages on Facebook are really good for local recommendations of classes, groups etc and often the lovely people on there will offer to meet up with you or go to a class with you if it's one they already go to. Has to be a nice group though, there are some other local ones that are dodgy! I even joined a running group on my estate after someone posted about it on our selling page

  • there's also a Facebook for mums who live in or near our nearest town which has lots of ideas for stuff to do for mums to be or just anyone. They're also having a meet up soon for people who want to meet new people
  • Parenting or breastfeeding groups, maybe when you're later on. I've been to several where expectant mums go and are very welcome. Our local ones have really active Facebook groups where people often ask if anyone wants to meet up as they don't know anyone and there's always a good response. Again just a matter of finding the right group. I don't know where you stand parenting-wise but the ones for people into natural parenting seem to be the most sociable
  • the WI has lots of branches round here even in tiny villages
Whatabout · 12/02/2015 17:54

My DS has been looking after a very tired mummy. Such a good boy. Outing myself but who cares.

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 12/02/2015 18:06

Aww whatabout cutie!

SpamAnderson · 12/02/2015 18:07

Anyone else get bad belly ache when eating an actual meal? Only seems to be warm food that does it, toasted pitta bread has no effect, but just ate yummy pasta and less than 10 minutes later, horrible stomach pains and bad bum :( it's good for my waistline I suppose but isn't great if this happens when I'm out :/ I have IBS so I should be used to it I suppose! Going to have a nice bath in a mi ute when I get the kids upstairs. Been on my feet cleaning the kitchen, running dd2 to the drs etc all day so I think I deserve an hour in the tub with my kindle :)

All the best for tomorrow laura x

Treaclepie19 · 12/02/2015 18:51

I'm the same spam, also have Ibs.

What's everyone doing about baths? And temperature?

Fed up of feeling like ive got a uti, i haven't because I was tested when I felt like this. Probably not had enough to drink.

DefinitelyNotElsa · 12/02/2015 19:14

Treacle - I'm having lots of baths as they're one of the only things that help with my cramps. I've taken the rule that as long as it's not 'ouch' hot (the kind where it feels slightly uncomfortable when you move your legs but okay when still), it'll be fine.

MyNameIsSuz · 12/02/2015 19:45

midnight, I'm in Oxfordshire too! Whereabouts are you? Pm me if you don't want to say on here. I was in the same position when I moved here a few years ago, it's so hard to get around and I really feel your pain. I might even be able to make some suggestions for things to go to!

Treaclepie19 · 12/02/2015 20:11

Thanks elsa :)
I'm having horrible cramps again today.
They're so worrying aren't they?

Can't wait to find out when my scan is :)

OP posts:
DefinitelyNotElsa · 12/02/2015 20:14

Cramping is awful - I totally empathise treacle! I've had mine for nearly two weeks now and at times it's been excruciating. It's what prompted all the hosp visits and scans for me!

If it's anything, the EPU advised me to use common sense - paracetamol when needed, hot water bottle and warm baths. They said any pain that makes you double over needs further attention (GP, EPU or A&E).
