Fantastic news Elsa! I'm so happy for you!

Laura you poor thing. Don't know how good your midwife service is but I can spend days trying to get in touch with ours. Our GPs can refer for scans so that's who I have called in the past. Some early pregnancy units are self-referring so you could Google to find your nearest and give them a call.

GoooRooo · 11/02/2015 18:34

Wow Elsa that's brilliant!

Laura Flowers for you feeling so down. I hope EPU can put your mind at rest.

Lauramum23 · 11/02/2015 18:52

Thankyou ladies.
elsa your news is reassuring congratulations x
The epu near me is Scarborough and it says doctor/midwife referral and previous eptopic.
My husband is cross that I'm not going to doctors tonight but in all honesty I haven't got the energy I have been out all day yesterday and all day today I'm knackered! And I'd have to drive to next town 30 mins away, the epu looks like its open 9-12 so I think my best bet is to ring in the morning and hope nothing happens tonight, he said what if I have a massive bleed tonight, cheers love! I said ring an ambulance! he's being a bit insensitive actually all I want is a hug, my eyes are stinging I'm so tired I still need to sort out uniforms for tomorrow they keep coming home blathered in mud!
I have no pains at the moment and obviously I'm on knicker watch now!

DefinitelyNotElsa · 11/02/2015 19:02

Laura - Sending huge positive vibes in your direction. Take care of yourself and try to get the EPU first thing tomorrow if you don't see anyone tonight.

Thank you for the kind words everyone. DH and I are both in shock in the best way possible. I've decided that this baby is obviously going to be just like its Dad and leave everything to the last possible moment!

sauvblanc21 · 11/02/2015 19:31

Elsa wow what a relief!!! Wonderful news :)

Laura look after yourself - if not much blood and no pain, hopefully all is ok. Fingers tightly crossed.

Xxx

StrawberryCheese · 11/02/2015 19:57

Elsa that is great news!
Fx for you Laura.

Well I nearly fainted in work today Shock Fortunately a mint club chocolate bar and some water sorted me out. It was quite stuffy in the office and I suddenly felt like I hadn't eaten for days. It took me by surprise. I don't want to start stuffing my face with food but what I'm eating now clearly isn't enough. It could be stress related as well though, I signed the first lot of redundancy paperwork today which made it feel a bit real. I reckon ill be out of work by end of March Sad

Maths88 · 11/02/2015 20:08

Wow! Scan was amazing! It looks like a proper baby now and was wiggling around and waving it's little arms and legs like crazy. Dated 9+4 so only 3 days behind my original dates after all! Such a relief! Proper scan on 4th March now.

misssmilla1 · 11/02/2015 20:12

8 week scan scheduled for tomorrow morning and I'm bricking it in case everything is not as it should be. Felt fine yesterday, and true to form today I feel like crap; indigestion and nausea all day, randomly made worse by the prospect of a spin class at lunchtime. Maybe it's following in the footsteps of it's mum by being a lazy arse Grin

DoctorDonnaNoble · 11/02/2015 20:46

I'm on a course in London tomorrow. My sense of smell is ridiculously sensitive at the moment and I'm dreading the commute Confused

SomewhereovertheRainbow02 · 11/02/2015 20:48

StrawberryCheese I'm being made redundant too at the end of April Confused probably the push i needed to be honest and should get my maternity pay too. Just going through forum meetings at the moment! But i firmly believe that everything will work out! It always does Smile

DefinitelyNotElsa · 11/02/2015 20:55

DrDonna - I'd recommend mints or a bit of Vicks under the nose. Sipping icy cold water, sprite or fat coke helps too. Commuting whilst feeling sick is just awful... The smells are the worst part!

StrawberryCheese · 11/02/2015 21:02

Somewhereovertherainbow02 I know we will manage its just a bit scary. I believe things happen for a reason though.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 11/02/2015 21:03

Thanks Elsa, I've been saving my caffeine for chocolate, but then I'm not eating any so may go for coke option just this once.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 11/02/2015 21:17

Any one else getting loads of little nosebleeds?

GoooRooo · 11/02/2015 21:18

I eat polos on the train and tube as I get travel sick at the best of times. I also carry a sick bag just in case.

No nosebleeds though!

itssangriaoclock · 11/02/2015 21:22

Brilliant news Elsa you must be ecstatic

Treaclepie19 · 11/02/2015 21:30

Congrats maths, glad all was well :)

doctordonna, ive often got blood in my nose but no nose bleeds as such. Very congested though!

8+3 which is the point I miscarried last time. I'll be so pleased to get past today.

DH and I are really considering a second scan but I think it's probably a bit ridiculous?

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 11/02/2015 21:34

DoctorDOnna See my earlier post about Tiger Balm! The Vicks suggestion is equally good - I have a 3.5hr commute each day (total, I'm not insane!) so know the drill. Do you have a reservation on the train?

duckbilled · 11/02/2015 21:35

Fantastic news Elsa!
shin thanks for the support Flowers, unfortunately if the issues are the same as last time it will be a planned induction like previously or a section.
Scan on saturday, looking forward to seeing baba Smile

nutelladipper · 11/02/2015 22:07

Thanks! 2nd trimester feels good! So far.....Grin
Can't wait for scan to come so everyone can know and I don't have to keep hiding my huge bump!!!!

Roll on Monday.

Great news Elsa & thinking of you Laura.

Mummyboo30 · 11/02/2015 22:34

Glad to hear all the good news today, especially Elsa and hitting 12 weeks is a great thing nutella not long now until the scan!
Laura Fx'd that everything settles down over night.

I hit 11 weeks tomorrow, and under 2 weeks until the scan. I feel like everyone else has already had one, but it'll be the first time I see this little squidge! Counting the days...

itssangriaoclock · 11/02/2015 22:35

I'm ridiculously bloated tonight I look about 30 wks not 9wks. His can something the size of grape do so much?

Every part of my body aches. Boobs rant as big as last time which is a shame that's usually the only place that's except able to pile on weight

itssangriaoclock · 11/02/2015 22:35

How not his

Treaclepie19 · 11/02/2015 23:29

I'm in the bloated club too!
The in laws had a little giggle at how bloated I was earlier.
Mil asked if I'd noticed my tummy swell of an evening. I just stood up in reply :p

Anyone noticed their gag reflex is terrible?
every night brushing my teeth is a nightmare because the toothpaste touches my throat so I heave.
Was actually a little bit sick tonight because of it for the first time.
