tallalime I'm glad I'll have someone else to talk to! So scared! I had my booking appt 2 weeks ago when I thought it was a one! I'm consultant led anyway so suppose that won't be changing! Scans every 2 weeks from 16 weeks and delivery by 36 weeks at the latest I've been told by a friend who is a consultant at one of the big hospitals (unfortunately not local to me anymore!) and is the consultant lead for multiple pregnancies! Shock I'm sure I'll get my head around it all!

Whatabout · 11/02/2015 13:41

Duck the consultant might see and discharge you. I'm sure they'll listen to you if you are no longer high risk.

nutelladipper · 11/02/2015 13:54

Whoop whoop I made it to 12 weeks!!!! Scan on Monday. Eeeek

That is all.

Snowflake15 · 11/02/2015 14:11

Congrats nutella! Thats first trimester done! How are u feeling?

I seem to have to eat every 2 hours at the moment to keep the nausea away, so hard to eat when you're feeling sick! Just aswell I'm at home on the sofa today so no one to judge my food intake!Grin

Boodlymummy · 11/02/2015 14:37

There's no winning is there?! Been feeling so miserably sick, then today I suddenly feel much better and it gets me wondering if everything's ok! Am 8 weeks on the dot, early scan tomorrow. Am skiving college today, mostly on sofa napping, and planning a nutritious tea while I feel like I can eat something decent.

SpamAnderson · 11/02/2015 14:44

I've lost 10lbs so far this pregnancy but after today, if I don't gain a good couple of lbs I'll be shocked. I cannot stop eating! The smell of peanuts turns my stomach yet I'm craving it right now and currently eating peanut butter On pitta bread. Omg it is soooo good!

duckbilled · 11/02/2015 14:57

Thanks mummy and what i an hoping that will let me switch over if it turns out to be a lot of worry over nothing. I just found the consultants to be so rude and dismissive compared to (most of) the midwifes. Obviously if there is the same issue i will agree to anything to keep baby safe!

shinjuku09 · 11/02/2015 15:01

Wow Butterfly that is big news. I am sure having mixed feelings over it is completely natural. Fingers crossed it all goes well for you.

Duck have you checked that you'll definitely be consultant led for the birth not just the pregnancy? I am consultant led due to having a really small baby last time but won't necessarily be for the birth if the baby looks a more routine size.

Working at home today, and went for a half hour nao at lunchtime.... and have only just woken up! Blush I don't know how I'm going to manage being back in the office tomorrow after the last week of easy mornings, commuting as far as the sofa to set my laptop up and snoozing at will....

Congrats butterfly !

ditzzy · 11/02/2015 16:42

nao? nap, obviously... maybe I've not quite woken up yet either Grin

Maths88 · 11/02/2015 16:45

My scan is in two hours! Feeling positive right now but we shall see!

Snowflake15 · 11/02/2015 16:53

Good luck maths

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 11/02/2015 17:11

Envy nutella

I am so fed up with first trimester, feeling rotten every day and cannot wait for it to subside. Think I'm 9 + 3 now, thank god my boss has been amazing so I'm working from home two days a week and only going in for short days the others.

DefinitelyNotElsa · 11/02/2015 17:19

Wow, this thread moves fast! Congrats butterfly on the exciting news!

Well, having heard last week that my pregnancy was most likely not viable... I've been told today it is. Was scanned last Thurs and all that was seen was a completely empty gestational sac. Was warned that given the pains I had, I was very likely to miscarry.

Rescan today... Fetal pole, heartbeat and yolk sac all seen. Pains haven't subsided, but they're being managed now.

So, can I join in again please?!

ditzzy · 11/02/2015 17:22

Gosh Elsa what a rollercoaster! It sounds like you've got a little fighter there, have you got the next scan booked? Have they adjusted your dates or anything?

DoNotDenyMe · 11/02/2015 17:24

Good luck maths and Congratulations nutella Smile

DoNotDenyMe · 11/02/2015 17:26

Wow Elsa what a week you've had then! Glad things are looking good now Smile

Wonderful news Elsa.

Lauramum23 · 11/02/2015 17:44

Not feeling fab I've been rushing about all day and went to toilet bout 30 mins ago and there was blood not got a good feeling I've never bled in the 3 other pregnancies I've had, don't know what to do really should I just wait till morning and ring someone??

Whatabout · 11/02/2015 17:55

Laura bleeding in pregnancy can be totally normal especially if no pain. Rest and try not to worry too much. EAU might offer to scan? Flowers

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 11/02/2015 18:01

Hurrah! Called midwife again and am now booked in for next Wednesday, will be 9+2. They normally only do them weeks 10-12 but I told them I work in London everyday so would need to book.a whole day off. They all of a sudden became a lot more accommodating!

How is everyone getting on? still worried I'll get to my 12 week scan and they'll say there's nothing there and I've been making it all up...

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 11/02/2015 18:02

Laura sorry to hear you're not feeling great. Is there an EPU near you that you could get in touch with?

Lauramum23 · 11/02/2015 18:05

I don't know if there's a pregnancy unit it's pretty rubbish round here lol ill ring midwife in the morning
