To those discussing make up I also have it on my list, just forgot to add it here as it's on my side list of things to pack last minute, along with phone charger and notes. Definitely can't be dealing with make up free photos afterwards, I will need a little bit to make me feel more human I'm sure. Especially since pregnancy has given me spots, which I never used to get!

I am hoping that hospital shower will be en suite in the labour room so not too grim, but taking flip flops in case. I'm sure I'll want a shower after.

skyra13 · 13/02/2015 23:15

My hospital has its own bathrooms in each room, birth centre is lovely but my bmi is to high so not aloud to go there so instead of a 20min trip I have a 40min trip while in labour that shall be fun!! X

daholster · 14/02/2015 01:58

Thanks for all your kind messages. Dh was lovely today for the couple of hours that I saw him. Shift isn't bad so far...

Wrote a message then lost it Angry

Hello newbies! I am now 33... For the stats thread...

Feeling a bit bad for dd that she isn't getting much mummy and daddy time due to work. She was so excited to see both of us together today she didn't want to go to bed. Dh is off to the rugby tomorrow and his parents are having dd so I can get some sleep. I will make it up to her after that though. Hopefully on Sunday we can spend some nice time as a family.

Some will remember I had my first ever wax 2 weeks ago. Last time I just shaved and used cream but this time for some reason I decided I wanted it doing properly. Not for the midwives, but to make me feel nicer. It was painful but the pain is short lived so it wasn't as bad as I imagined. It's supposed to get less painful the more times you go. I'll let you know if that is true for Hollywood number 2! I think once the hair starts to grow back thinner and in a more neat and tidy fashion (which repeat waxing is supposed to do) I might change to have a Brazilian or extended bikini instead but right now it grows far too thick and disheveled!!! We'll see.

I'll be sure to let you know how Hollywood number 2 is!

31+4 (just!)

Another bizarre dream for me last night.
I was in bed with DH and my waters broke. I told him to go get my notes as I'd left them in the car and ring delivery suit. I started packing my hospital bag (it's on my to do list for next week) midway through packing he said the ambulance was here. I was a bit wtf at that as we have a car so why would we need an ambulance. Then the paramedics came in and started hoovering.

What the hell was all that about?

daholster · 14/02/2015 08:07

Lol!!! Hoovering!!! GrinGrinGrin

Lauren82000 · 14/02/2015 08:16

I just told DH about it and he laughed and said the house does need hoovering. (It's one of his jobs)Grin

PenguinPoser · 14/02/2015 08:22

Lol Lauren what a funny dream!! Grin I haven't had many baby dreams yet which is weird - leading up to my wedding I dreamt recurrently about literally everything that could go wrong!

Hope you're home from work now Daholster and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Realised the other day that I don't have any baby 'pram suits' not sure if that's the the right words but I mean an extra outer layer for baby. I was thinking ah spring baby it will be fine but realising how cold it could still be in mid march/early April so I think that might be a job for today Smile I just live buying cute clothes so any excuse

AnniaFausta · 14/02/2015 08:35

Morning ladies! Hope everyone slept alright.

My big change of the week is getting used to the fact that baby is now having proper sleeping and moving sessions, and trying not to panic too much if I spot a sleeping session. I'm basically going with the rule of thumb that if I prod and get some movement back, then all is well and I don't need to worry. It's sort of working...

Today is our Shopping Day Of Doom, where DH and I will brave our local shopping centre, try out buggies, raid the big Boots, and work our way through the Kit List that we came up with t'other week until we get so tired we want to stop. I'm figuring that will happen fairly soon after we get into the textiles part of the kit list myself. (Yes, the kit list has subheadings.)

31w+3

Zahrah5 · 14/02/2015 08:37

Good morning everyone!

All happy to get out of bed and to my pregnancy yoga class.

daholster · 14/02/2015 09:02

Home! No bed til 10 when in laws arrive... Dh in the garden helping neighbours take down fence... I can stay awake with dd for another hour, I can I can... Brew

smogsville · 14/02/2015 09:23

Annia good luck at the shops today! Make sure you stop for a rewarding lunch. Always a mistake IMO to power through and then realise at 3pm that your blood sugar's dropped and you're snapping at each other for no good reason Shock

DH has been sent into the garden to dig and organise. I think he secretly likes it as he gets to be by himself with radio 5 live while I am now in charge of darling DD Wink

Speaking of which we realised we'd committed a major boo boo this morning when we gave each other our vday chocs and were asked where hers were... Had to hastily say that she could share ours. Whoops!

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 14/02/2015 09:29

Morning all.

I've had some very odd pregnancy dreams lately. Last night I gave birth to a little girl (it didn't hurt!!) and then DH would only speak to me by email and sent me the baby's name via email and wouldn't let me have say in what it was... very odd as the name he sent is one we'd probably never even consider!!!

FiRaffe · 14/02/2015 09:35

Lauren - that's absolutely brilliant!

Annia - how long are you rest/movement sessions? Baby had been quite quiet yesterday evening and nothing much so far this morning which is unusual. I'm waiting for my bottle of water to be icy then i'll try that otherwise I fear an unexpected valentines trip to the hospital!

Lauren82000 · 14/02/2015 09:36

Glad I'm not the only one with an odd dream. Smile Luckily I managed to go back to bed for a bit even though DD followed me upstairs I got an hour to myself before she came in our room and started pestering me again. I swear DH gets off lightly as he is sat downstairs and I played with DD for 3 hours this morning. Least it's my lie in tomorrow.

AnniaFausta · 14/02/2015 09:48

FiRaffe, the rest tends to be a couple of hours - I seem to be getting a response when I'm going to bed or getting up (I think it's the lying down and change of angle that does it), then a quiet patch in the morning followed by liveliness just before lunch, then quiet again before loads of wriggling in the evening. But if I'm feeling worried, I also find that eating something sugary gets a response too, presumably as the sugar gets through the bloodstream. But normally I just lie down and prod for a bit, which usually generates sufficient response within a few minutes to put my mind at ease.

Lauren82000 · 14/02/2015 10:00

I get very quiet periods too. Especially at night when I'm up for a wee and then get back in bed I rarely get anything before I'm back asleep again. Mornings can be a flurry of activity or very quiet and I often get a good few hours with nothing, then the odd roll or stretch kicks happen in flurries but mainly I can just feel limbs being moved about just below the surface and the odd elbow/knee/foot poking out. I'm guessing there is just less room in there now and baby is spending a lot of time facing my back.

PenguinPoser · 14/02/2015 10:18

FiRaffe try having something to eat as well, on a morning cereal and cold milk normally wakes baby! Mine has quiet nights too normally and is quite active lunchtime and evening. Hope things pick up soon, if not do go and get checked! I'm paranoid about movements now but baby seems to have gotten generally more active last couple of weeks.

Littlegreycat hehe at your dream too!

Annia hope you have a successful shopping day, with plenty of snack breaks and a nice lunch too.

Flowers happy valentines day ladies Smile
defo some odd dreams going on!
bump seems to have is wiggle pattern set. Even managed to freak out a friend last night while we were at franky and bennys when I pointed out where his foot was and he put his hand there and up moved quite noticeably!
re the shaving I'm still managing just doing it without looking. DH has offered to do it for me, as well as a perineal massage Confused he got a hand out when he went to antenatel on his own and said he'd do it for me if I needed too. not sure I'm down with that :/ does that cross the "too married" line that someone mentioned earlier? Not even been married a year yet lol although we have been together 8 years today (and known each other for about 12 years)

Lauren82000 · 14/02/2015 11:28

Hmm perineal massage might be one step too far and has potential to lead to other things. (Which is fine if your in the mood but not if your not and leaves him all hot and bothered)Wink

I'm getting pretty hungry but if I make anything now DD will want it and she has eaten far too much already this morning. She's like a dog that stares at you when your eating waiting for scraps. (So far she's had a big bowl of cereal, a banana, an apple and 2 yoghurts!) going to her swimming lesson in a couple of mins so she can't have anything till after her lesson.

kismac · 14/02/2015 11:43

He he perinatal massage. Yeah, DH has been telling me that he's happy to help. Eh, no. Think I'll pass. He also started swinging his pelvis at me during antenatal class when midwife was explaining that it helps with pain. I got the giggles and nearly had to excuse myself from the class.

Lauren82000 · 14/02/2015 12:15

Oh dear Kismac I don't think I'd have been able to stop myself laughing. I have a proper loud dirty laugh when it comes to DH making me laugh.

I managed to steal a cookie to eat in the car on the way to swimming so I'm happy for now.

smogsville · 14/02/2015 12:19

Lauren my DD is the same except she wouldn't stop at staring she would simply take what she wants. Got her lunch cooking now and trying to shovel my ham and egg rolls in without her noticing. So I'll soon have indigestion but I'm starving.

cinnamongreyhound · 14/02/2015 12:44

I will be getting a little jacket and blankets for legs PenguinPoser, I think pram suits are good for when they get to the stroppy kickig I don't want a blanket on my legs stage :) with a spring baby pram suit isn't as essential and a pain in the bum to put on ime Grin

Never got my two anything for Valentine's Day smogsville Confused

I found perineal massage quite uncomfortable with my other two so certainly not a romantic thing for oh to do! I got some oil and had a few mins on my own a few times a week and gritted my teeth! Not sure I'll bother this time, must be pretty stretched by now Hmm

FiRaffe · 14/02/2015 13:20

Baby has been a bit more wriggly so hopefully it's just having a quiet day. We'll see how we go.
Did have a fun morning picking a couple of cellular blankets and a bouncy chair up from Argos. It's so cute - has a little owl and fox on the bar over the seat. I could spend so much on baby things!
