Going to try and do it on Sunday but the surprise element of the flowers etc is rather gone and the food will have passed it's use by dates! But yes, we can try then. Just really disappointed Sad

Hidingthefear · 11/02/2015 22:20

Thanks boo, took a screen shot so I can have a look properly tomorrow.
DH just came home with some sleep suits from next from his grans. Apparently she saw them a and thought they were "so us". Clearly everyone knows thinks were geeks :)
RL was it you that asked asked out hospital bags? Got an email off mother care with a simple list if that helps, took a screen shot and posted as a picture.

daholster I think I'd me more than just letting a few bad words slip out. You've had an awful time!! I'd be a wreck and most likely a sobbing mess so I applaud your ability to hold it together!

Ladies, is the bottom butter Waitrose branded? I had a quick look in our local one for something as I remembered people saying it was good, but couldn't see any Waitrose own stuff in the baby section.

cinnamongreyhound · 11/02/2015 22:26

Yes it is, will take a photo of mine if I remember tomorrow :)

Heyitsholly · 11/02/2015 23:12

Goodness were all going through the ringers. Fingers crossed for all that things pick up
I was told about the wedding ring test today so did it this eve. Really freaky how much it moves.
Mine says a girl. It was everyone else has been guessing too from positioning. Made me think more closely about girls names as id got it in my head a boy.
Inpatient to find out now. Hubby says we have to find out next time suspense is getting to him

Anyone else tried it ( put your wedding ring on a hair. Hold above your stomach make it still and watch it move! Circle for girl back n forth for boy!) Bit of fun either way!!

TheBooMonster · 11/02/2015 23:26

holly I got boy when I did it, and according to 20 week scan we're expecting a girl. gags self before I can go on a woo woo pendulum ramble Guess we'll only know for sure when the babies are out.

PenguinPoser · 11/02/2015 23:46

Siarie I wish it were possible to actually share real cake via MN... That looks amazing!! Cake

daholster · 12/02/2015 07:00

Up and about! Not much voice and super thirsty, but not as gloomy about the world after a sleep. Lets see if it lasts as I try to get dd up and dressed quickly for nursery!

Two days of work related torture...

Daholster ready... Steady... GO!!!!!

Have a great day all!

31+2

Lauren82000 · 12/02/2015 07:01

Oh poor you Daholster hope you got your good nights sleep.

brummagem · 12/02/2015 07:03

Congratulations on the birth of Tiger-Rose she is utterly adorable!

Sorry to hear about all those feeling unwell atm hope it all picks up for you!

Had my 28 week appt last week and (not so) Little Bump is predicted to be about 8-9lb. Oh my life! He's a big boy! Still forgot to ask for a mat1b form because I have no brain.

I have to teddy bear roll off the bed now it's quite hysterical. Have bought a mattress for the cot and chosen the silver cross wayfarer for the pram as the Mothercare orb special edition is out of stock where I live in Brum. Not one to be had in any of the stores :(

Have almost bought a house too so starting to feel rather overwhelmed. Had ofsted last week too. I don't do things by halves!

Had a krispy Kreme doughnut at the weekend the results on the bump were startling he went off like a pinball round the pinball machine haha

kismac · 12/02/2015 07:12

Cavetroll, don't let them pressure you into doing work when you're off sick. I think it might be wrong for them to even contact you during sick leave unless you agree to it.

Daholster, really hope things start to pick up for you. Hang on in there.

I had to lock myself in a meeting room yesterday so I could have a wee cry. No idea why. Hormones are weird.

Nunkie · 12/02/2015 07:49

Hey guys: re things for hospital bag (and afterwards!) a tip that DP read, is a little plastic jug, so you can pour water over your delicate bits as you pee, post-birth, to reduce stinging.

Re birth vids (I love One Born even tho everyone always advises me not to watch :0D) but Everyday Miracle is nice - tho it only has the actual birth thing right at the end as it deals with the entire pregnancy. It's just very interesting throughout, ..and everyone love professor Robert Winston (it's on YouTube, tho the audios and visuals go a bit funny every ten minutes or so)

What is all this self-weighing guys? [shakes finger, crossly!] There's a small person living inside you, so cut yourselves some slack for once! It's only one more thing to worry over. Throw your scales out the window, says I!Grin

Lol at the 'pinball' Brunmagen! :0D (hot chocolate is a great one for that too!)

Gah - Mothercare can't fulfil our pram order til possibly end of the month cow of low stock. And we have to get it there to take advantage of their special offer.

Hit 32 weeks yesterday - please stay put a while longer, Peanut! (Bit nervous, since both me and my sister were premature :0o)

kismac · 12/02/2015 08:13

Spot the crazy pregnancy lady. Sat on the train and just realised I have jam in my hair.

ChickenMe · 12/02/2015 08:20

Morning!
Hope you have a better day holster.
brumma I'm impressed they told you the weight! What a fine weight eh! Reminds me we need to order our buggy too as we have been so last minute!
I had a scan yest. Was meant to be internal but they did a normal one too. Baby is 4lb11 but they didn't predict final weight. Mines a bit of a pinball too as it wouldn't keep still and had the cheek to yawn!
Anyone thought about nursing bras yet? Not sure if it's too early. Also I'm going to do the test for group B Strep as my friend had it. Has anyone done it before?
32+6

IvegotaCaveTroll · 12/02/2015 08:29

Daholster I think you are coping amazingly. Don't worry about having a rant on here that's what we are here for and you are coping with so much!

8-12 weeks and we will all hopefully feel better (-although tired and a bit midget down below!)

IvegotaCaveTroll · 12/02/2015 08:30

That should say mingey down below- I hope none of u are feeling midgets down below, though if u are that's fine too!

Daholster good on you. Hope today is kind to you.

Chicken - I had group b strep in last preg so will be tested acc to the midwife as a precaution but not until a bit further along. It can come and go apparently. Was just picked up in urine samples last time. I'm having a section so it shouldn't even be an issue but good to cover all bases just in case.

Siarie - was it good? Did you use all the frosting is there now half a pot sitting smugly in your fridge?

Yes FiRaffe it's waitrose own brand they put it near their baby bubble bath and shampoo in my local one. I always wait for it to go on 3 for 2 and then stock up on loads.

EbwyIsUpTheDuff · 12/02/2015 09:45

daholster I'd be swearing a lot more, don't worry.

and I love the "geek" babygrows!

Let's hope today's a good day for all of us!

Siarie · 12/02/2015 10:03

Smog I didn't know I shouldn't use it all haha! I plonked it all on then smothered it with a knife. The worst bit is that DH is away today until tomorrow evening so I'm left with a lot of cake to eat.

I've started to day with cake for breakfast and am secretly thankful I don't have GD so that I can make use of said cake day.

Finding it really hard to breathe today and last night, I think this beast is sitting on my lungs.

ChickenMe · 12/02/2015 10:05

I got that Waitrose Bottom Butter because my mate told me it was good to use on your face!
Re Group B Strep you can send off for a testing kit.
I have probably mentioned cats before but I have got bird brain at the moment. My Siamese cat is obsessed with sleeping on my head and I think it's the warmth. When we put up the cot, as well as getting a cat net, we are going to spray the cat with water/lemon if she tries to get in it. She hates water. Anyone else got any thoughts/tips on cats.

Nunkie · 12/02/2015 10:09

Grin Kismac you shall hereby be rechristened jamhead!

Hope your day goes better today Daholster (I'm with everyone else - you can fooking-well swear like a shitting trooper all you like as far as I'm concerned. Every cussword is good for an airing if the occasion demands it!).
And hopefully you can reserve your lovely V-Day evening plans for a time when it suits both of you, and you are both feeling less put-upon.

Oh yeah, have heard about the Strep B thing - read a very sad article about it where a lady was campaigning for it to be made standard after her little girl was stillborn, here:
www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/heartbroken-wallasey-mum-went-expectant-8585146

Sooo many things to worry about in pregnancy. Just trying to kind of chill out because its just an inpassable mountain of worry otherwise (or an infinite sofa, even!),

That said, today, i have woken up with a headache, so have obviously jumped straight on the 'Eek! I've got pre-eclampsia' bandwagon that I was reassuring Holly about the other day Blush

[Sigh]

Here's something to cheer everyone up though. Most informative!

Siarie · 12/02/2015 10:18

Haha I'm so glad I have my handy home blood pressure kit, it really helps with the "HELP I'VE GOT PREECLAMPSIA" moments. I've had a lot of headaches, in fact I'd say they are what have been my biggest annoyance so far.

Migraines, headaches and sinus pressure in my ears and face.

smogsville · 12/02/2015 10:41

Siarie I'm sure you were right to use it all. Yum yum! Might have to trot downstairs for a choc biscuit now.
