Smogs your description of yourself made me laugh.
I've been telling myself to calm down throughout so far but now with possibly just less than 10 weeks to go, I feel like everything needs to be done in a rush! Don't get me wrong I think we have everything covered baby wise... But it's all stored at my mums house! With my partner working full time and sometimes not getting back until 7/8pm I don't really want to keep pestering for us to sort out the storage cupboards (we need to pack away a table into there as we need room for the changing table!).
I'm sure everything will fall into place at the right time though

RL20 · 11/02/2015 10:18

Tiny well done you for changing your diet. I can't imagine that it would have been easy

RL20 · 11/02/2015 10:21

Banana I'm tempted to weigh myself now?! Ahh! Feeling curious. And maybe it might stop me from eating so much crap if I have put on a little more than I thought. I'll let you all know if I do manage to find any scales laying around.
I also lost weight in the first trimester and don't think I started putting any on until half way through the second trimester. I think it was down to sickness and I also has fatigue and nausea 24/7 so I didn't actually eat that much. It's like my body is trying to catch up now!

EbwyIsUpTheDuff · 11/02/2015 10:25

thanks girls, I'm just a bit of a hormonal mess and having some family stress isn't helping.I'm ok, just ... meh!

Lauren82000 · 11/02/2015 10:29

Nope we're having another surprise RL, still we reckon it's another girl though. The girl gene is too strong in my family. (Last two generations all girls, there is 10 of us)

smogsville · 11/02/2015 10:34

RL you're right it will all fall into place and getting in a flap doesn't help.

DH is still going to be put to work this weekend though, not that he knows it! I will give him champagne on sat night to cheer him and have bought him some Paul A Young chocs for vday so I'm not totally evil.

Ebwy have some BrewBrewBrew

BananaToast · 11/02/2015 10:36

RL I've found it really interesting tracking weight gain - but I do work as a researcher in the field of weight loss/weight change Grin Hopefully I will be equally as amazed at the weight loss post-birth (wishful thinking!)

TinyTear · 11/02/2015 10:39

thanks, it was tough but i was fully expecting to get GD again, so thought to preempt things...

although I still had more cake than I should have...

kismac · 11/02/2015 10:44

Well I've put on a horrible amount of weight but my diet is awful and can only stomach carb heavy foods. I've put on 2.5 stone. I really hope I can shift it after the baby is born. I used to be a size 10 so feel really yucky about putting on so much but got to just give in to the evil pregnancy hormones.

TinyTear · 11/02/2015 10:52

kis if you are planning on breastfeeding it does help lose a bit...

BrixtonBunny · 11/02/2015 11:33

I have no idea how much weight I've gained - I think a lot as I've been constantly ravenous (so constantly eating) and my sweet tooth has ramped up about 5000 notches! It's not like I was slim to begin with either - oh well, hoping baby will help me shift it with copious breast feeding.

Had midwife appointment today, all is well, bloods are perfect, baby is head down (though with back to the right which isn't ideal - hopefully will turn with back to the left and stay head down!) and still measuring bang on dates, which is all nice and reassuring.

Am working from home today - just as well as the pram just arrived out of the blue! It's in a HUGE box. Really want to get it out and play with it but will restrain myself Wink

32 weeks today Shock

smogsville · 11/02/2015 11:36

Brixton I have to tell you my sweet tooth went mad in first preg and it never really went back to normal.

I used to really love dark dark chocs now DH makes fun of me as he still likes the sophisticated stuff whereas I'm obsessed with milk and white. The palate of a child!

Just caught up with thread;hope everyone is well.
I've put on about 13kg so far. Got lots of unsightly armpit fat, side boob fat and a bit of upper arm fat now. Telling myself that this is breastfeeding fat!!! Actually not eating masses now as cannot manage large portions.
It must be so hard eating low carb. I can't stomach much protein-still makes me feel sick!

BrixtonBunny · 11/02/2015 11:38

Smogs I'm exactly the same - asked DP to pick up some chocolate the other night, he came home with two bars of green and blacks, one butterscotch milk choc and the other dark lemon. Guess which bar is entirely gone and which hasn't been touched!

PenguinPoser · 11/02/2015 11:39

I think I have put on about 1st 4lb or something like that so far - might be more now. I think it's mainly bump though. Hoping to be able to get back to some exercise after having baby, was quite active before but I'm currently a couch potato. Walking is so slow now Blush

Have had my tablets changed at the pharmacy for the correct dose thank goodness. Good job I scrutinised the tablets like a weirdo. Lessons I have learnt this week are - never assume things are being done right, question things and push for things if you need to!

Having washed new baby clothes have decided I need a few more so going to use that as an excuse for a little trip to the retail park Smile. Have a few tiny baby clothes in case of early delivery but newborn hadn't realised I only have 3 new vests and 4 sleepsuits... Might need more than that!

kismac · 11/02/2015 11:44

Yeah, planning on breastfeeding and I've found baby and me yoga class and Buggy Fit class. I will fit into my jeans again. Ha ha.

smogsville · 11/02/2015 11:52

Brixton the thought of the dark lemon made me shiver. I'd be taking it back and swapping it! You've just reminded me to put choc on the shopping list - thanks.

Good one Penguin.

Kis - it worked for me and I was a massive pig when BFing even more so than now. I never said no to cake and still lost weight.

IvegotaCaveTroll · 11/02/2015 13:44

So furious- just had consultant from work call me at home to say if I didn't finish an audit she would be extremely 'cross'. I'm signed of due to not being able to walk and vomiting!
I had every intention of getting into do it hopefully next week if I'm up to it but I'm so pissed at how she put it. I'm afraid the C word comes to mind!!
So angry.
Worse still I didn't stand up for myself! Argh

Cavetroll that's totally unacceptable - can you complain to HR or your line manager? The last thing you need is extra stress and pressure x

BrixtonBunny · 11/02/2015 13:55

Squatting it was a researcher asking people to fill in a survey - you didn't miss much Wink

squatting I was wondering that too. I've had a tired toddler this morning... I started the day by having to put the big car seat in the car (far too heavy and awkward at the best of times let alone at 31w pregnant!) -felt my back twinge and was already knackered with that! Took her to the park, then for lunch with a friend (where she refused in her tired tantrumming state to eat anything but mandarin and bread Hmm then round Waitrose. When I got her back to the car the car seat straps wouldn't tighten and she was screaming and wriggling. I was desperate for a wee and trying to stop the little leaks that threatened and trickled with all the effort of trying to cajole dd into the right place - by the time I got in the car I needed a little cry too!!!

Dd in bed NOT asleep, me lying on my bed wanting to fall asleep, shopping all still in the car, and swimming in 2hrs. Tell me again how we do this for another 9 weeks?!!!
