New (and probably) final thread for those of us due in March (with a few lovely February ladies who didn't want to leave).

Hi instamum
I love my exercise ball cant be without it, I only discovered the benefits of using one during my 4th pregnancy. Its the first thing I bought this time round I was only about 18 weeks Smile The other position I spend a lot of time in is kneeling on a cushion either on all fours or against ball/sofa. im looking forward to being able to sit on sofa properly again rather than constantly being on the move trying to get comfortable or get baby to move toes from my ribs.

DurhamRed · 04/02/2015 17:22

Keeper you can get the MAM self sterilising starter kit online from Amazon. That's where we got ours from a few weeks ago...can't remember how much it was (I think a little more than £15 but not by much) but it was free delivery, so bonus!

Welcome Instamum Smile

M27J5M · 04/02/2015 19:17

MGFM I'm getting braxtons daily(with period like cramps) and on a few occasions that bad that I've ended up at hosp getting checked over! Hope they're not too bad for you

M27J5M · 04/02/2015 19:24

Welcome instamum Smile

Well I finished up work today and my god it feels good :) far too much to be standing for 9+ hours a day! Time to chill now Smile

Rainbow555 · 05/02/2015 03:49

hey anyone, new thread yay!

Just finished the last day of work! Sort of excited, daunted and thinking i might feel a bit lost come monday! Just under 6 weeks to go! Mum arrives from the UK next week though so we can spend time catching up and doing girl stuff before baby comes.

Don't think it can come soon enough - had a funny turn at work this afternoon adn thought i was going to faint - I was only sat typing at my desk so not sure what that was all about - very strange! So finished up early and now resting before NCT class tonight.

Yay for the final countdown and all the babies that are soon to arrive :)

Jannywannywoohoo · 05/02/2015 08:59

Yay to the final countdown! 36 wks tomorrow... It's all getting v close! Looking forward to seeing who posts first with news of their birth!!
Welcome instamum if you're on Fbook we also have a group there. Both Fbook and this group have been an invaluable source of info for me.
Here's to a happy and healthy final month! Smile

fishfingerSarnies · 05/02/2015 09:43

I'm struggling today. Aching back and Braxton hicks kept me up all night (after saying yesterday I hadn't had any!) on sofa with toddler watching tv though the dog is staring at me desperate for her walk.
Mw appointment tomorrow and I really can't be bothered just want to sleep for the next 5 weeks and not have to think.about moving My hips are buggered. My mum's coming next sat and I can't wait for a week of chilling and having help.

Gudgyx · 05/02/2015 10:41

2 weeks left of work, 3 weeks left til my section.

Hurryyyyyy uppppppp!!!!!!

Butterpuff · 05/02/2015 14:12

I beat you Gudgy, just the rest of today and tomorrow left at work. Grin I made carrot cake and chocolate orange brownies last night to bring in tomorrow. No idea when bump will arrive though.

In even more exciting news, a friend just texted to tell me she is off to be induced this afternoon. Eeek. we were in the same antenatal class at the MLU we were both hoping to give birth in. Sadly for her she is off to the hospital now. But excited that the babies are coming.

trulyscrumptious33 · 06/02/2015 05:07

Finally finished work with just under 6 weeks to go. The last two weeks were a bit of a struggle...fine when I was there but my job is 4 hours away (thanks to a relocation due to my husbands job). Glad not to have to do that weekly commute anymore, was starting to get a bit nervous too that I was so far away from home and DH should anything decide to bless us with its presence a bit early.

On that note, I wonder what you ladies would do....I have been invited to a wedding on the 22nd Feb (due on 18th March). It's in Suffolk near my parents, but I live in West Wales, so it's about a 7 hour distance. DH can't come, but parents are visiting and have offered me a lift back to theirs on the 21st, and I'd have to train it back alone afterwards. Would you risk it/bother with it? It's a dear friend getting married....

Ellizardo · 06/02/2015 07:10

Truly - as its a close friend and you can time your departure to hopefully suit when you're feeling knackered, I would go/intend to go on the proviso that if you're not feeling up to it nearer the time I'm sure folk will understand. I would go in your position I think, all things being well.

And happy maternity leave! (Why are you up at 5?!)

Gudgyx · 06/02/2015 09:40

I havent moaned much during this pregnancy, so I think I'm going to now. Its gotten to 36 weeks for me to actually feel pregnant! Think the baby has shifted and she's hurting me :( feels like ligament pain around the left side of bump, feels as though all her kicks have moved to the right though. Pain is like having a stitch, is that ligament pain?

I have a sore lower back, top of my legs, left hip (I've always had sciatica so was expecting this at some point!) and what feels like period pain. I'm needing to pee a lot more too (was up 3x last night as opposed to the 1 it normally is!)

The boys at work have already warned me not to go into labour here!

But I'm now struggling to sit up properly, having to roll sideways and get up that way etc

I know most pregnant ladies have these kinda pregnancy moans from quite early on but I've been so lucky until now!! Hope it doesnt stay for the next few weeks. Have a scan on Tuesday so we'll see if she's shifted from frank breech.

Butterpuff · 06/02/2015 09:57

Last day Grin

And I need it to be. Starting to feel really uncomfortable now. I went to a pub quiz with a friend last night who is the same build as me and carried all out front like I am. She couldn't believe how big I am and cant remember ever being as large. The plumber arrived this morning and asked if I was sure that I had another two weeks left. My right hip is killing me and standing on one leg an impossibility now. I am so looking forward to getting up late and not moving further than the sofa unless I want to.

Chin up Gudgy, not long to go now.

Truly I think I would say yes if all being well and make the final decision closer to the time. At 6 weeks out I would have said I could do it easy, at 4 weeks out I would have given it serious thought as my comfort levels changed so much. Maybe see how you are feeling closer to the time.

shelley1977 · 06/02/2015 11:53

Ive noticed how much harder/ more uncomfortable or painful things have become the last few weeks. Im starting to wonder about my dates. My edd was 7th March then they changed it to 30th March. Ive had similar experiences before but this is the largest change in dates. Im trying not to think about it to much but it makes quite a difference to how prepared am!
How do I get added to the facebook group, I totally forgot to ask about that before Smile

Butterpuff · 06/02/2015 12:03

Blimey shelly, that would be quite a difference.

I just got back from MW appointment. Good news BP is still low and protein is trace so she thinks I'm all good and healthy.

Bump is head down with his/her back to the left and feet to the right, HB was good, tape measure tells lies. I am huge, really, massive, 37+4 and measuring 35cm. But no concerns as I am a tiny 4ft 11 so we are not expecting a whopper.

MGFM · 06/02/2015 13:07

I had anothet consultant appt today as the baby was measuring large a few weeks ago. Different people have measured at different largeness. Some ome week large, some 2 weeks large but generally following a nice pattern. Today he meadured me at 39 weeks and I am onpy 35 so booked in for a growth scan on Wednesday. Period type cramps getting worse. Consultant very dryly said, 'oh I wonder what that could be' and then said maybe the baby will come early. Anyway. Going to have a nap now. Only one more week at work! Yey!

northdownmummy · 06/02/2015 13:16

Just popping back to say congratulations to some of you and good luck to the others.
I was on this thread in the early days but sadly miscarried at 10 weeks.

Still no luck in getting BFP again despite lots of trying. With my due date approaching I've been spending a lot of time thinking what might/should have been.

I'll be thinking happy thoughts for you lovely ladies and your little bundles over the next few weeks.

Gudgyx · 06/02/2015 13:24

Aw north I'm sorry to hear that. How nice of you to come back and wish us luck, cant have been easy. Hope you get that BFP soon, enjoy all the trying

Butterpuff · 06/02/2015 13:34

How nice of you to pop back north, good luck with the BFP I hope that you get some positive news soon.

Sorry your OH is being a pain Gudgy, going home and sitting on the sofa with your feet up refusing to do anything sounds like a good plan. Make the OH look after you.

I'm practically sitting on the floor to get bump under the desk so I feel your pain there.

Gudgyx · 06/02/2015 14:22

I've come home but the arse is out with his brother. Sitting on the couch with the laptop on the arm glancing at my emails now and again for work stuff. But generally just watching jeremy kyle and scowling at everything/everyone.

Before I left work, I called my work friend and within a few minutes of chatting she said 'kelly!! stop swearing!!' haha. I dont normally swear and didnt even notice. Must be having a bad day!

Pisghetti · 06/02/2015 14:37

My baby kicks the hell out of the desk too Smile I'm finishing a week today and seem to be accumulating ever more work! It's going to be a very busy week but hopefully it'll fly by.

Looking forward to the rugby tonight - wonder how the little one will respond to all the shouting and jumping about...

Sorry to hear the rest of you are suffering, all I've done is moan and groan so can totally sympathise! Big moany pants here Smile

HollyBen · 06/02/2015 15:18

How lovely of you to pop in north. It took me 9 months after mc #2 to get this bfp so I really feel for you. x.

mg I was measuring 37 weeks at 34 but growth scan showing 50th percentile baby

gudgy Moan away that's what we're here for

Twittwooo · 06/02/2015 15:50

Hi North, lovely to hear from you. Hopefully you'll get a BFP soon, it's so hard after MC. I had two before my last successful pregnancy (little girl now 2.5) so like many people I think I can understand how you might be feeling. I'm really tired today due to lack of sleep, haven't gone out with toddler but wish I had, and have been particularly unproductive! We're sleeping in the living room on a sofa-bed as my husband is just starting to do up the bedroom and has dismantled the bed. It's not as comfortable as I remember! I was up at 3 this morning eating bread and reading mumsnet .. Still feeling disorganised with 7 weeks to go!
