New (and probably) final thread for those of us due in March (with a few lovely February ladies who didn't want to leave).

I was due on 22/3 and I'm still waiting for a sign. I have a midwife appointment tomorrow.. shall I just wait for something to happen naturally or request a sweep? getting impatient now and all the texts and messages about baby's arrival don't help!

ThisWayNow · 25/03/2015 22:02

Congratulations Lifeis but very sorry about your mother.

I'm still waiting. I've bought some rlt and had pineapple for breakfast. I have a sweep booked in for tomorrow morning.... followed by an emergency dental appt as a bit of filling fell out today. What a fun morning I shall have Grin Grin

StuntNun · 26/03/2015 09:24

Please can I join? My DS4 was born on Monday by EMCS due to stage 4 placenta praevia and placental abruption. We're still in hospital but hoping to get home today.

M27J5M · 26/03/2015 13:34

So sorry to hear about your mum lifeis! Thinking of you! ThanksThanks

I have loads to catch up on here, haven't been on since last fri as was taken in on sat night to be started, my DS popped into the world at 2.34am after contractions only starting at 1.15-1.20am, all went well, no time for any pain relief, had gas and air but didn't have it long enough for it to have any effect! Due to GBS he had to have antibiotics for 48hoursbut got home tues and all is well Smile

ThisWayNow · 26/03/2015 14:19

congratulations M27 Smile how are you finding it all?

I had my sweep this morning. I didn't find it anywhere as bad as I was worried about thankfully. I have also got induction booked in for Monday afternoon if nothing happens between now and then.

lavender20 · 26/03/2015 19:20

I really need to catch up on you all but its been a life changing two and a half weeks!!
I had my little girl at 37+5 weeks, we had a bit of a rough time and stayed in for a week, but we are at home now all settled.

As a first time mum I didn't realise just HOW much my life would change, my view on the world would change and just how much I would worry about and love my child. Soppiness alert!

Congratulations to all that have had their babies, I'm going to scroll back and have have a read now!

theonewiththenoisychild · 26/03/2015 22:46

congratulations to the ladies who have had their babies since i was last online Thanks

elijah william barnes was born at 11:30am on 24th as planned by c section. was a bit of a drama in the end but a lot better than my last experience. i discharged myself from hospital wednesday afternoon as they wanted me to stay another night and i wanted some sleep and to see my dc's Grin loving being at home. we have had visitors all day but theyve been helpful visitors so not complaining Smile

theonewiththenoisychild · 26/03/2015 22:48

Ellizardo · 26/03/2015 23:06

Congrats Lavender and TheOne and all others who've had their babies.
Edward (Teddy) was born on first day of spring (21 March) at 12:38 by ELCS following failed induction. A full week in the hospital wasn't fun but loving time at home now.
Lavender, am with you on life changing...so happy.
Good luck to everyone else, worth it all the way

Blue03 · 27/03/2015 06:15

Congratulations those with babies- mine has arrived too!!

Had my 3rd sweep yesterday around 3:30 and was advised " long walk and lots of sex" by the mw.

Barely got out of the street when irregular contractions started. 5 hours later I had Jessica Joanne in my arms having had gas and air to keep me going in the big bath at hospital.

This'll make your eyes water- she was 10lb 4oz!! Only needed a few stitches for a 1st degree tear.

To those yet to meet their LOs, best advice I can give is with each contraction you're one step closer- hang in there and good luck Grin xxx

DurhamRed · 27/03/2015 06:34

M27J5M · 28/03/2015 07:47

This way now - everything going well just adjusting to having a baby about again, 6year gap between bubs and my DS so forgot how overwhelming it is but loving it all!

Loving all these baby announcements Smile xx

theonewiththenoisychild · 28/03/2015 08:38

quick question for those who have also had c sections. are anyone elses legs and scar area and lower covered in bruises. my whole are down there is bright purple and legs are badly bruised Sad had 2 previous sections and never had this.

my birthday today and feeling rather sore. both feel and look like ive been beaten up. elijah is gorgeous tho Grin always puts a smile on my face

littlemissy12345 · 28/03/2015 19:12

Hi ladies, I need to do some serious catch up. My little boy was born on the 26th - Samuel Luke, 8lb 11oz. Labour pretty horrific but just the bruising to worry about now.

Whilst I'm catching up do you think we need a post natal/baby club link?

DurhamRed · 29/03/2015 07:41

Congratulations littlemissy on the birth of Samuel Smile

A postnatal/baby club thread sounds like a fab idea!

littlemissy12345 · 29/03/2015 08:34

Is anyone good at coming up with thread names? After 3 ish hours sleep i'm not!

ThisWayNow · 29/03/2015 12:34

Congratulations to the new mums and babies Smile
Starting to look like it will be an induction now for me. Booked in for 4pm tomorrow.
I really thought it would happen naturally. I'm sure the plug is being released now over the last 2 evenings so I think it's not far off being natural.

Fondue42 · 29/03/2015 12:41

Congratulations little missy, ellizardo, the one, blue, m27 and everyone else that has had their beautiful bundles of joy!

Still waiting here! Only a couple of days overdue so could be a while yet, but hopefully not too long! I went and sprained my ankle on my due date... Doh! Feel so stupid! Thankfully not too bad and can already put weight on it, hoping it heals quickly so it doesn't restrict me too much in labour or afterwards.

Definitely should get a post natal thread going. How about keeping the name simple for all to find, eg March 2015 baby club: the results!

Postnatal thread! I just used fondue's suggestion of name above, probably won't be able to click on the link as I'm on my phone.

See y'all on the other side!

ThisWayNow · 01/04/2015 00:36

DD2 born 31st very early in morning. She's much smaller than expected and as a result is having frequent blood sugar tests poor little thing. But she is feeding well so hopefully will fix that soon.
Birth was very quick after being induced, DH got called to hospital then she appeared 20 minutes later.

She's a spit of DD1 as a baby.

DurhamRed · 01/04/2015 20:49

Congratulations this way Smile

My baby girl was also had a low birth weight (4lb 15oz) and had 2 hourly blood sugar tests for about 36 hours...we ended combining breast and bottle feeding to ensure she was feeding well and blood sugar levels became stable. She is now almost 4 weeks old and weighs 6lb 13 oz ( she is weighed weekly by health visitor)...so putting on weight well :-)

DurhamRed · 01/04/2015 20:50

*ended up combining...not ended combining. Doh!

MGFM · 04/04/2015 20:13

Just checking in....have been absent for a few weeks getting my head around this having a baby business! Baby Jacob was born on 19 March weighing 7lb14. Birth was straightforward and pretty quick for a first birth I think. I was chuffed as I was looking forward to going home but then the placenta wouldn't come out! I had to have a manual removal which was the the most unpleasant experience of my life! It was frustrating as the birth went to plan and then I ended up with a spinal block, catheter and drip which was what I wanted to avoid. Couldn't be helped though. Doctor successfully removed the placenta and then we went home the next day. Anyway, it was all worth it as little Jacob is amazing even if he refuses to sleep at night!
