New (and probably) final thread for those of us due in March (with a few lovely February ladies who didn't want to leave).

Congratulations Rainbow he's so adorable SmileFlowers

M1985V · 22/03/2015 16:53

That would be me then Rainbow but I didnt leave, Facebook removed me, apparently they are automatically removing people from groups and pages of they are inactive on the page for a certain length of time... Except I wasn't inactive and replied to posts most days so I have no idea why I was removed :(

M1985V · 22/03/2015 16:53

Oh & congrats x

Blue03 · 22/03/2015 20:05

Fishfinger I take the nipple confusion malarkey with a pinch of salt as my DS never had an issue with mainly BF, occasional bottle and a dummy when he felt like it. It became a bedtime accessory and he naturally grew out of it at around 4 months whereby we would lie him down, pop in the dummy and he would fire it back out.

I'm sure the HV advice is well meaning, and maybe if DD ever arrives I may have a different opinion.

If it feels like the right thing to do as a Mummy, give it a try x

theonewiththenoisychild · 23/03/2015 00:47

fish i gave ds a dummy and he never had a problem feeding. didnt give it him until he was 2 or 3 days old but he gave up hos dummy before his first birthday as we lost his at soft play and he wouldnt take a replacement

Blue03 · 23/03/2015 10:54

Second sweep complete. Apparently I'm a stretchy 3 cm dilated and effaced. Midwife advises the only old wives tale with any truth is sex- and thats the sperm doing the magic not the activity itself. (DH appears to have locked himself in a cupboard right on cue)

Failing that, I'm booked in for induction on Friday, will have my waters broken and hopefully contractions will begin. Keeping all fingers and toes -but definitely not legs- crossed for some movement today.

How is everyone else doing? x

theonewiththenoisychild · 23/03/2015 12:10

fingers crossed it does the trick blue

i am going in for my c section tomorrow morning. im soooo excited cant wait. also very nervous because of what happened last time but i get to meet my little one tomorrow so no fear could out weigh my excitement Grin having a big fat chinese tonight to fill me up before im not allowed to eat or drink Smile

ThisWayNow · 23/03/2015 16:00

good luck Blue03. let's hope it all kicks off naturally.

I started to get nervous about my itching so rang the midwife this morning and they took some bloods so we can hopefully rule out anything bad once we get the results. I'm pretty sure its just the hormones. if not, then they would induce straightaway as I'm 39 weeks now. I will find out later today.

M1985V · 23/03/2015 18:34

Have any of the ladies from the Facebook group who were due on the same day as me had their babies yet? (17th)

Blue03 · 23/03/2015 20:28

Theone hope your chinese was fab and good luck for tomorrow. I can't imagine the excitement you're having right now you lucky lady!!

This way thanks for your kind wishes, but I still have absolutely nothing taking place. Hope the blood results were helpful and nothing too serious.

Fishfinger, how is your LO getting on- did u decide on dummy or leaving it for now?

M I'm not in the FB group but I was due 18th. I take it you're still very much pregnant too? How r u doing? x

M1985V · 23/03/2015 20:56

Yep, still pregnant!
A week overdue tomorrow, booked in for a sweep tomorrow although I'm not convinced they even do anything! I had two with my first DD and none with my second DD and both were 11 days late!! I'm sure I've got at least another 4/5 days!
I'm not doing too bad, I always had it in my head that Id go 10+ days over again but I must say the more days that pass the more scared I am feeling about giving birth, this is the most nervous I've ever been about giving birth!
How are you doing?

shelley1977 · 23/03/2015 21:48

I'm 2 weeks over and at hospital tomorrow. hoping like previous pregnancy will be far enough on for them to break my waters , been having plenty of irregular contractions since Friday but no baby yet!

M1985V · 23/03/2015 22:03

Good luck for tomorrow Shelley

theonewiththenoisychild · 23/03/2015 22:14

good luck shelley

theonewiththenoisychild · 23/03/2015 22:17

blue chinese was nice. yeah very excited. cant wait to meet him. just wish i wasnt so nervous about the op tho

Blue03 · 23/03/2015 22:24

Shelley and the one hope tomorrow goes well for u both.

Im trying not to get too giddy but pretty sure ive been having mild contractions for the past hourGrin. Ive had some crumpets and the obligatory glug of Gaviscon before tryjng to get some rest.

Number 3 eh M- you're a braver woman than me, this is DC 2 and I'm at my limit!

M1985V · 23/03/2015 22:27

Theone good luck to you too.

Hope it's the start for you Blue! I have very uncomfy BH and painful movement, but that's it! I thought I was done after DD2 but here I am again, this is defo defo the last though! I can't do this again!

Blue03 · 24/03/2015 07:47

Well guess who is still pregnant. Fell asleep and when i woke i was so gutted that the contractions had stopped. Just a normal night of broken sleep, loo visits, HB and a 4 am biscuit. DH has gone to work and DS wants to play- I just wanna lie in bed all day feeling sorry for my huge self.

Have a good day ladies Smile

Fondue42 · 25/03/2015 01:26

I am also still very much pregnant, feeling whale-like, still no bloody sleep and no sign of this baby making any appearance either. Not even a single BH! Fed. Up.

Blue, how annoying that the contractions just stopped! I hope things kick off again soon for you!

Need some more baby news from you guys to keep me going...! Hope your new arrivals are all thriving!

littlemissy12345 · 25/03/2015 04:50

Well it's due date for me and I've been having irregular contractions since last night. Not particularly painful but enough to have me awake at 4:30. Just wish they would get regular and painful (seems weird wishing for pain!).

Hope everyone else is making more progress than me!

Lifeisabeach · 25/03/2015 07:21

Just a quick birth announcement from me - Daniel Peter was born on Saturday evening (21/03) at 7.56pm, weighing 7lb 5oz. I got my home birth, just as well as the labour was very fast and the MW only got there 25 mins before he was born. It was lovely being at home and being able to get into my own bed afterwards.

Daniel is gorgeous and doing really well, getting the hang of BFing and still sleeping a lot. I'm sure that won't last though!

Sadly, my mum passed away last Wednesday so she didn't get to meet Daniel. Having him is making dealing with her death a lot easier though.

Congratulations Life such exciting news! Grin He's a real cutie!

I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about your mum. Much love to you and your family Flowers

Fondue42 · 25/03/2015 09:50

Congratulations Life! he is gorgeous!

So sad to hear about your mum though. Rotten timing. Love to you and your family at this time.

Blue03 · 25/03/2015 09:56

Life I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum. So close too. Congratulations on Daniel's safe arrival, really happy for you that you got the birth you had hoped for.

My Nanna passed away last weekend so she will not meet my new arrival, but at this rate I feel like I will give birth to a toddler. Absolutely no movement since the night before last.

I'm now 1week overdue. To rub it in, 2 friends who were due after me have now given birth- where's the British queuing etiquette gone??

shelley1977 · 25/03/2015 10:47

Congratulations Life, sorry to hear about your mumxx
My body doesn't seem to be working as it should this time, im starting to think the stress at home especially on weekends is causing it to stall. Everytime ive come close to reaching a point I think finally its happening something happens and I know it just wont work. Might be different if I was planning on it just being me like in past but I desperately want/need my partner with me and able to support me this time and that's just not been possible till now. I even have his daughters texting me regularly again as they hoping to use birth to get out of school as a teacher told them they can be collected as soon as baby is born! Not a chance though as it would be an hour and half round trip to get them when that time will be getting spent instead with my partner and I bonding with our baby. The girls still aren't happy about baby so cant expect to be allowed to use him like that. My children wont get out of school either. They will all get to see baby once we are home.
