New (and probably) final thread for those of us due in March (with a few lovely February ladies who didn't want to leave).

theonewiththenoisychild · 07/02/2015 17:54

its the chasing cars song.... if i lay here.... if i just lay here.... would you lie with me and just forget the world? i lived miles away used to stay weekends and go home to work during the week. he used to sing it to me on sundays when i had to go home Grin got so bad he used to have to come and stay at mine during the week. then one sunday he sang that song and presented me with a key and asked me to move in Blush soppy i know Grin i upped sticks and moved in with him a few weeks later and neer looked back. we had only been together 3 months then. and now we are heading towards 9 years

Instamum · 07/02/2015 18:15

Such a beautiful song, and what a lovely story :)

Wish my DH was more romantic!!?

theonewiththenoisychild · 07/02/2015 19:12

ha the romantic side of him went when i got pregnant with dd a few weeks after i moved in and turned into the psycho b**ch from hell Grin seriously i was that bad. when pregnant with ds i was fine and have been fine this time. must just be carrying girls that turns me into a monster. he is still romantic sometimes and when he is im that stunned im speechless Grin

m33r · 07/02/2015 21:11

Got my pram today but found the putting together very stressful. I was exhausted and also felt it made realise how little I know about babies so I had a little internal panic. All calm now though.

Here's a weird one: can people 'hear' their babies? Lately I've been hearing like a clicking or popping from my stomach when he's moving and exactly where his little limbs are?? Confused Also I'm getting loads of movement these days whereas I read that people start to feel a bit less intense - mine is the opposite!

So excited to meet him which makes me very happy but also a part of me just wants him here and safe and this makes me anxious... Anyone else up and down from euphoric highs to hugely tense?

north thanks for popping back in. I hope you are doing ok as your due date approaches. Must be very very difficult. I hope you get your BFP very soon Flowers

fishfingerSarnies · 07/02/2015 23:21

Ha m33r you reminded me of when.I was pg with dd I got really upset and angry because I didn't know how to.adjust the straps on the car seat, dh was building the bed at the time and said he'd have a look after and I lost the plot screaming at him that if I can't work a fucking car seat I shouldn't have a fucking baby and we'd made a mistake, then I got upset about getting upset and said I should have a baby if I couldn't stop getting angry and swearing! Poor dh I think I stormed off to bed in floods of tears. Lol
I'm much better this time with the emotional ups and downs but I think it's because I'm on my own without anyone to vent to when dh popped home last weekend I sobbed and sobbed both nights he was here!
Not heard my baby move but the movements I feel are very painful so I'm glad this one doesn't move much.

m33r · 08/02/2015 08:08

fish I feel so much better! I also couldn't work the car seat straps!!! Fortunately my dh could or that would have been the straw that broke the camel's back!! Blush

My movements are also getting pretty painful now... Especially lst night!!

Jannywannywoohoo · 08/02/2015 08:25

M33r I'm feeling more movements too.... I've had an anterior placenta and just wondering whether it's shuffled out of the way so I can feel more now?! But definitely more lively, definitely more painful/tight and DEFINITELY more hormonal!!! I cried in the tesco car park yesterday and refused to get out of the car, haha pathetic!

m33r · 08/02/2015 08:40

very reassuring janny! I am totally dreading the lst few weeks as not only will i be hormonal, I'll also be super impatient, ridiculously excited and off work (the latter I am obviously very pleased about but also aware it will be a big change!!)

Come on March!!!!

shelley1977 · 08/02/2015 09:04

I hear a clicking sometimes almost like fingernails clicking together or catching on something Smile. Ive been really hormonal this pregnancy, It's a lot worse when I'm pregnant with a boy. I feel really unstable at times and it can be really scary! Tried hard to keep myself together this time, my partner and I haven't been together long and we have a lot of crap thrown our way from his ex and my ex's family so I've tried to keep myself together as there is enough crazyness about. I really glad there isn't to long left and hormones should settle.

m33r · 08/02/2015 09:11

Another clicker - thanks shelley. Couldn't find anything online about it!

Am so lucky to not have other things to deal with. Hope your exes are not too awful and you and dp are doing ok! Good for you for keeping it all together!!

theonewiththenoisychild · 08/02/2015 09:14

i had carseat trouble too with this carseat and its my 3rd baby. i had trouble fitting the maxi cosi adaptors to the pram and no trouble fitting carseat on the pram but trouble getting it back off. oh took it off easily and i got stressed because i couldnt do it. a bit of practice and im hoping ive mastered it now Grin

its another day of decorating today. me and oh tidied up the walls in the hall last night and its ready for painting now so 2 coats of undercoat going on that today and then i suppose we will see if its going to look ok or not. looking forward to finishing painting because im sick of paint fumes and smelling white spirit everywhere and my house being turned upside down every weekend. going to aim to have it all finished before the dc's break up for half term on friday. but i have a feeling i have at least 1 more weekend decorating ahead of me Sad just want to chill noe just 6 weeks til c section and im exausted

DurhamRed · 08/02/2015 09:17

m33r I've been hormonal too, yesterday I had a meltdown because I wanted to make a sandwich but we had no bread (we were waiting for new fridge freezer to arrive before going to Asda for big shop) and I didn't want to go to

DurhamRed · 08/02/2015 09:25

Oops posted too early...

I didn't want to go to the shop or wait to go to Asda (could have eaten something else, but no I wanted the only thing we didn't have!) I made such a fuss...felt really silly once I'd calmed down. My oh just looks at me like I'm crazy.

As for movements, I'm feeling baby move much more now than before and walking is becoming more painful. At Asda yesterday I had a bout of moderate period pain and my stomach went rock solid, almost thought labour had started...was far more painful than my usual braxton hicks.

M27J5M · 08/02/2015 09:43

It must be a supermarket thing Durham, I ended up in agonising pain walking about tesco last week to the extent we had to dump the shopping and phone hosp!

Well I'm feeling good after worrying for months about going early again, bubs is tucked up nice and cosy in there, DS was already born by this point last time :)

bouncesky · 08/02/2015 09:46

Hi all, I was on this thread a lot at the start but have pretty much been flat out working since then! Now starting to think about the arrival of baby so thought is pop back and see how everyone is and really try and keep up with the thread now! My original due date was March 3rd and I still think this is the more accurate one, but NHS changed it to 24th Feb at 12 week scan. All other scans and measurements are suggesting 3rd march so I think I'll have a March baby. I'm still working which is getting hard as can involve a lot of travelling. But slowing down now over next couple of weeks hopefully! Have got most things organised for baby. Am planning on having a home birth, but just had the results from my GBS test and they are positive. Any else positive? What are you doing about it? I haven't seen midwife yet to discuss the results.

AmyDonovan · 08/02/2015 12:00

i bought the cutest one from mother care, some are fairly cheap at 10 pounds, i fell in love with a more expensive one but there are a range of decent price options. good luck! am also due end March!

theonewiththenoisychild · 08/02/2015 12:49

i was secretly hoping for a boy so he could use ds's play nest www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BNIP-GALT-POSTMAN-PAT-PLAYNEST-WITH-SIX-ACTIVITIES-NEWBORN-/391044200478?pt=UK_Toys_Games_Toys_CA&hash=item5b0c0cf81e it still looks brand new

Lifeisabeach · 08/02/2015 12:56

Just checking in to see if there is any news from Zyla - think she was being induced yesterday? Hope all is going well xx

DurhamRed · 08/02/2015 13:30

M27 it must be a supermarket thing, I was also contemplating calling the hospital but it seemed to ease off after a while.

bouncesky I've not been offered the GBS test yet, at what week were you offered the test?

bouncesky · 08/02/2015 14:24

I wasn't offered the test Durham, I paid £29 to have it done privately as had a friend who had a baby with issues because of GBS, so thought is get it done. It's not offered in UK by NHS as far as I know. Many other countries do it as standard.

shelley1977 · 08/02/2015 15:15

Thanks m33r It's not always easy especially when children are involved. But even with all the crap I consider myself and my children very lucky to have such a wonderful man in our lives Smile

DurhamRed · 08/02/2015 15:17

Ah that makes sense. I've heard of the test but wasn't sure if it was something that was offered on the NHS.
