New (and probably) final thread for those of us due in March (with a few lovely February ladies who didn't want to leave).

Congratulations m33r Smile

Lifeis I hope baby stays put for you today and all goes well this afternoon (well as well as things can go in these situations) ThanksThanks

Sorry but can't look back on phone and have forgotten poster name - don't feel guilty about having a last meal out with OH without kids before CS, sounds like your doing loads with them and a wee bit of time just the 2 of you will be good Smile enjoy

ZylaB · 16/03/2015 15:59

Congrats m33r!!

theonewiththenoisychild · 16/03/2015 16:19

thanks m27 i always feel guilty but i suppose it will be quite a while before we have a night with no children at home again so may aswell make the most of it. we dont ask the grandparents to have the dc's overnight unless we need them to like for my pre op and c section hospital visits. its a lovelly surprise when they offer but its not generally expected of them. my inlaws have a lot on their plate already so they enjoy having the grandchildren when they are able

MGFM · 16/03/2015 19:09

Congrats M33r!

Had sweep today. Cervix wasn't reachable! A bit disappointed. My Dear Husband bought me an easter egg to cheer me up!

Just been for a walk and now so many aches and pains, DH is running a bath for me. Come on Baby MFGM!!

theonewiththenoisychild · 16/03/2015 22:17

ive had a bad day with the itching today Sad was feeling rather sorry for myself. had a bath in e45 bath and then a shower and feel much better now

Blue03 · 16/03/2015 23:57

MG u must b so deflated- well done hubby on the chocolate front bless him. Was it too high to reach or too closed to get the finger in- (sorry for asking but intrigued, u don't have to answer). Cant wait for mine on Weds altho im booked in for my roots doing in the afternoon and if it's effective i can hardly sit there sweating and panting with my foils in!!

Managed to have a roll around with DH tonight so hopefully his "contribution" might kick start labour Grin

Theone- have u suffered with itching throughout pregnancy? The only place im itching is these flaming piles!! Ill b so glad when they go back in (she says optimistically) after baby arrives.

MGFM · 17/03/2015 10:33

Blue - thanks. It was too high. I spent the entire evening after my bath bouncing on my ball lol.

MGFM · 17/03/2015 10:48

I have been out of bed for 48 minutes and I feel like I need to go back for a nap...crazy

theonewiththenoisychild · 17/03/2015 13:26

blue yeah been itching all the way through pregnancy. it has got worse the further into my pregnancy ive got. i have had blood tests for colastasis and its not that. its the sort of itching that makes you want to rip your skin off Sad i have made my skin raw with scratching. i just cant help it even when skin is very very sore. its horrible Sad

coastergirl · 17/03/2015 14:46

theone I don't know whether it's something you'd want to do, but my delivery was brought forwards because of itching. Like you I was tearing my skin off. I was already booked in for a c section though and was 38 weeks so it wasn't a difficult decision. It's all a distant memory now I have my gorgeous boy.

Congratulations m33r!

M27J5M · 17/03/2015 16:56

Sorry to see some of you are having a crappy time! I think this baby will be in forever......been in agony since Friday, loadsa cramp and back pain, plug coming away in dribs and drabs and constant braxtons! Had 2 hours of proper contractions last night that tailed off and came to nothing......today I have been non stop, out walking for hours today and done loads and bubs is defo too comfy in there! I swear I'm gonna be a hormonal waddling mess for the rest of my life!! Lol

ThisWayNow · 17/03/2015 19:18

Theone and Coastergirl - I didn't realise itching was usual. Is it usual? My excema on my hands has become much worse in that it is so itchy and it has been spreading up my arms. Also, I only noticed today how bad my shins look, I've been scratching them in bed I think and they have red crosses all over them! I'm really hoping the change of hormones when I give birth causes the itching to go away. Is that what you've heard?

theonewiththenoisychild · 17/03/2015 19:50

thisway as far as im aware mine should go as it seems to be caused by the pregnancy hormones. im not expecting my eczema to go tho as i had that before i got pregnant but thats managable as ive finally found a cream that works (aveeno) and get it free on prescription. the type of itching i have feels a million times worse than my eczema. its the sort of itch thats never satisfied once it starts even if you have ripped your skin to shreds. i have a burn on my nose as that was the itchings target the other day Sad feeling utterly misserable because of it

coaster i will mention at my pre op tomorrow but my c section is tuesday so not long to wait now anyway. plus inlaws are away the weekend so probably best to ride it out until tuesday Sad

coastergirl · 17/03/2015 23:05

Mine was PEP (apparently used to be called PUPPS. I was tested several times for cholestasis though, but it wasn't that. It was like theone said, the itch couldn't be satisfied and I had rashes everywhere that were so sore. Mine was eased briefly by the steroid injections that I had to mature baby's lungs, then they brought my c section forward by a few days. It's better now except my tummy is itching today!

fishfingerSarnies · 18/03/2015 00:20

Morys, 8.6 lbs born 9.40am elcs. All went ok I struggled with low BP because of epidural and had a lot of vomiting but still was a pretty relaxed experience and my husband even managed to meet the little man for about 5 mins.
Now on the ward feeling sore and exhausted but unable to sleep but happy to have my boy here. Hope everyone doing well and not suffering too much waiting.

theonewiththenoisychild · 18/03/2015 12:50

congrqtulations fish Thanks

i had my pre op this morning all went well and still all set for 24th. no more appointments for me now as they did my antenatal check while i was there and all is fine. have to be at the hospital for 7am on tuesday morning Shock i am going to struggle. i will have to be in the taxi by 6:15am. need to be up at 4:30 then

DurhamRed · 18/03/2015 18:16

Congratulations fish what a cutie SmileFlowers

Blue03 · 18/03/2015 19:51

Congratulations fish, nice to hear you sounding so positive despite having things not quite the way you'd hoped.

M27- any further progress? I had a stretch and sweep this morning, nothing has come of it. I'm ordering a hot curry for this evening despite previously saying the old wives tales didnt work last time so why bother - cos I want this little one out!! So many signs are telling me that this little girl is going to come out a boy- what about all the pink things I have bought?! Hubby had a vivid dream it was a boy too.

Theone, that sounds very early, but what an incentive to get out of bed for!!

fishfingerSarnies · 18/03/2015 20:27

Ahhhhnd home. Great, in a lot of pain but as nice to be off the ward and only have to listen to my baby crying.
He was doing well with his feeding and his latch was great but my boobs have suddenly filled a bit and now he's struggling to latch and it's getting sore. Was hoping to avoid too much of sore nips the second time round as I know what his latch is supposed to be like.. Doesn't mean he does though. Ah well sure we will get there. Hoping for some.sleep tonight as got 0 on the ward last night.

I have chronic dihoriaha which in some ways I'm glad about because pushing a poo out post section isn't fun but neither is post op gas coupled with the fear of pooing oneself... Tmi? Childbirth is magical.
Hope some more babies are making their appearance soon.

theonewiththenoisychild · 19/03/2015 06:14

blue yes by 4:30 when i get up i dont think i will have slept much. so i will probably be glad when the alarm goes off and oh gets up as will have someone to natter to Grin

fish i will be the same too will be glad to go home. i have said to the consultant and to doctors at my pre op that i want to go home the day after and they pulled a bit of a face because its my 3rd section. but i will be going home if we are both ok. I still have 2 other babies at home that i will be missing

M27J5M · 19/03/2015 14:49

Was at consultant this morning, DD today and they were going to leave me another 10-12 days but then realised baby's measurements are the same as they were 2 weeks ago so have me a sweep and in on sat night for induction

pcbmc00 · 19/03/2015 16:01

40 + 4 today previous section and previous vbac... Attempted sweep today but failed... Another appointment Monday if I'm still the same they will be talking about section.. Really don't want a sectionHmm was so positive the last 40 weeks just given up now...- just need to moan..

M27J5M · 19/03/2015 16:06

Will they not induce you and let you try VB before CS?

pcbmc00 · 19/03/2015 19:19

I didn't progress fast enough and baby was in distress so ecs. But successful with vbac second time... Just disheartened as thought I would at least be able to get a successful sweep today... Would love not to have another section I'm just moaning really just have to wait I suppose Hmm
