New (and probably) final thread for those of us due in March (with a few lovely February ladies who didn't want to leave).

I get that quite a bit blue and my blood pressure is on the low side.

39+5 and no signs of imminent labour. Being induced on Tuesday if no baby by then. And i have almost finished packing my hospital bag

Blue03 · 28/02/2015 16:44

Wherediparkmybroom · 28/02/2015 21:15

Ronnie was born 10.30 yesterday morning, planned c section. She met my grandad this afternoon so we got home just in time. Feel like I've been kicked by a camel but wonderful to be home!

Blue03 · 28/02/2015 21:34

Congratulations where and glad Ronnie met his great grandpa.

Anyone know anything about cold sores in pregnancy? This is my new obsession!! I have cut and paste from my post in pregnancy to see if anyone knows anything here?? My biggest worry is the virus crossing the placenta and doing damage to my LO now because it'd be my first cold sore... Help!

Hoping I'm being paranoid here but...

I'm 37+2 and dh has a cold sore (he gets them sometimes but this is the first in the pregnancy). Anyway, tonight, he had a piece of my dessert using his own spoon. I then ate from the same bit of the dessert - using my own spoon. So my questions are: 1. What are the chances of me getting a cold sore and if so how quickly will it come out? 2. Are there any issues with this in pregnancy?

I have googled and it seems that if I did get my first ever cold sore, this would be bad ???

... Just as I thought I was becoming less paranoid!!

Gudgyx · 01/03/2015 10:10

Sorry meer I'm not sure on cold sores! Just make sure u have some Zovirax and get it on the minute u feel any tingling.

C section tomorrow ?? I can't bloody wait to meet my baby! Section itself is worrying me a bit, but it has to be done.

m33r · 01/03/2015 10:21

Wow gudgy! Good luck!! Keep us posted!

DurhamRed · 01/03/2015 12:57

Good luck for tomorrow Gudgy Smile

pinkandstripey · 01/03/2015 13:33

Congrats where, Ronnie is a fabulous name!

I'm trying very hard to sit still and recover from my cs, but am finding it very hard, I'm a bit sore but nothing major, and we've got my parents staying and no one does things quite right - dp keeps telling me off, WE'LL PUT THE SODDING BUTTER BACK IN THE FRIDGE THEN!!,

ZylaB · 01/03/2015 14:20

pink do take it easy! I felt fine after my CS, but had to keep reminding myself to not do too much, don't forget it's not just the surface wound which needs to heal. Take advantage of having people there and get them to pass you the baby, or cups of tea etc :)

Congrats Grin

fishfingerSarnies · 01/03/2015 17:42

Ha ha pink I'd be exactly the Same! But do take it easy.

Congrats Where!

So it's march! Finally, can't believe it. Csection booked for 17th can't wait, but would like to go naturally beffort hand!

Good luck tomorrow Gudgy.

I'd try not to worry about the cold sore thing, if you've not caught one off dh before I would have thought the chances were slim just be carefu. I don't know for sure though.

StopWhateverUDoing · 01/03/2015 19:53

m33r, I would refer to GP regarding first time cold sore asap. There should be some anti-virus meds that would help you fight it before it causes any possible harm.

theonewiththenoisychild · 01/03/2015 21:38

take it easy pink

i did too much after my c section last time. day i got home from hospital was doing some washing for my brother and picked up a basket of wet washing and outer stitch popped open a bit. so this time im going to let oh help me for a little while

3isthemajicnumber · 01/03/2015 21:44

Congratulations where. X

My due date is next Friday so having s sweep in my due date as induction booked for 41 weeks.
It's hard not to hope the baby comes soon but I'm trying to be calm and think maximum 12 more days.

Feel very niggly today though.

m33r · 01/03/2015 22:13

Thanks on the cold sore issue. Going to mw tomorrow morning so will speak to her then. Will also get telephone appt with gp.

Gudgyx · 01/03/2015 22:37

Thanks everyone! Having the last supper now in the form of a bag of mini eggs then going for some sleep hopefully!

m33r · 02/03/2015 10:40

MooMaid · 02/03/2015 13:44

So jealous!

fourmonthstogo · 03/03/2015 08:16

I am getting so impatient! All these twinges, tightenings and back aches have me convinced that he'll be here soon but still no baby! I wish I knew when!
