Wow what a morning Grin

Baby girl (no name) born this morning at 7:14am very quick delivery. Got to the hospital just in time at 10cm dilated que me going into absolute panic! Shouting like a fog horn Blush

Had a second degree tear so my bits are pretty bloody sore, but she's so worth it. She had a poo during labour so we can't leave until this evening but I'm quite happy with that.

Can't believe she's here, so perfect Smile

Purpletoes · 12/02/2015 10:44

Wow mini that is a roller coaster hope everything stays on the up for you now.

Yeah bang. Congrats enjoy the snuggles.

SmileSmileSmileSmile

I am still here pains have gone again. Got a feeling I will be around for a while. Had rubbish nights sleep and feeling very crotchety today.

Memphisbelly · 12/02/2015 10:48

Mini hope he is home soon and on the mend, what a scary week for you!

Bang.....congrats, wow you don't mess about do you Grin

Ticktick · 12/02/2015 11:08

Congratulations bang and mini!

Sorry to hear your lo is poorly mini but it sounds like he is on the mend and in the best place to receive care.

bang another quick labour for the thread! Well done, hope your bits feel better soon, ouch!

purpleteapig · 12/02/2015 11:09

Big congrats Bang! Mini - that sounds v stressful but glad he's on the mend. I know what you mean about being envious of those who are home - Rowan's got to stay in a few days for a course of antibiotics; I'm feeling quite claustrophobic in hospital!

sandulacek · 12/02/2015 11:32

Yay bang congrats. Enjoy the cuddles Flowers

mini what a week. But so pleased he's on the mend Flowers

Waiting time here, 4 more sleeps. My DH has the lergies, 3rd day now so having lots of honey and lemon. Pre op appointment tomorrow!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 12/02/2015 11:43

Congrats Bang and Mini!

Bet you're glad you got some sleep last night now Bang! Did you know you were having a girl? Has your DD met yet?

Now we are waiting for Frenetic hopefully no news is good news!Smile

tweety89 · 12/02/2015 12:46

Two days away, too many things happening! Congratulations to all the babies I've missed again!
Congratulations whyo. After the traumatic first labour, I really hope that this will be my reaction to my elcs in a week.
Congratulations bang. And a quick labour too!
I hope everything is better mini. I had to stay 4 days at my emcs the first time and we were both on antibiotics at the beginning.
frenetic, I cannot believe what happened to you yesterday. I had been thinking about the chances of this happening to me next Thursday and ended up convincing myself that these things don't happen easily. Now I'm quite nervous again. I hope all went well! :) Did you have to get the stomach acid pills twice then? Or did they not give you any pills to start with?

tweety89 · 12/02/2015 12:48

p.s. And wow whyo!! Big girl! Grin

BanglesSpangles · 12/02/2015 12:59

Afternoon all,

Mini- glad to hear things are moving the right way now- must have been a scary week xx

Wonder how frenetic's getting on- have all my fingers crossed

I am pleased to say I HAVE POOED! Seriously relieved, as I was imagining all kinds of horrors if that went on any longer. I genuinely nearly put it on facebook, i was that happy!

And on the labour time front, my notes say second stage 25 mins, third 31 mins. Go go bullet babies!

Memphisbelly · 12/02/2015 13:04

Bangles! Bullet babies! Lovevthat....just looked on my notes as book was out for hv second stage 18 mins third 5 mins.....with ds 1 secondstage 26 hours!

BanglesSpangles · 12/02/2015 13:11

26 hours, bloody nora! I was more than happy with things progressing at the speed of light!

That said, my first stage only got recorded as being 3 hours long, cos nobody would believe i was in labour! I had a trace even and the doctors were all ' oh youre not in labour, your pains arent bad enough, but we'll do a little check... Oh... Ok, 4 cm dilated. Oops, maybe we better admit you' Grin

BanglesSpangles · 12/02/2015 13:13

Ooh and just looked back at the top of this page- congrats bang

Ticktick · 12/02/2015 13:36

bangle how were you feeling if they didn't think you were in labour? I'm so confused about knowing if its real or not! I've got quite a high pain threshold so feel scared I might not realise the difference between BH and labour contractions!

BanglesSpangles · 12/02/2015 15:26

Tick, I was pretty accepting tbh, I had no idea how you could 'know', so when they said I wasn't in proper labour, I was a bit 'oh bugger, this is quite painful', wonder how much worse the real deal will be', but everything moved on so quickly after that I didn't really have time to think- after an hour of pacing a corridor waiting to be admitted (leaning against the wall and whimpering for DH to rub my back as everything ramped up), they checked me again and I was 6cm, and an hour after that it was all over!

In retrospect, I think I knew I was in labour before I even went to hospital, but I'm just far too willing to accept medical opinion and be quiet... And apparently, my pain threshold is a hell of a lot higher than I gave myself credit for!

GeekyHybrid · 12/02/2015 16:50

Sounds like one hell of a week for you mini, I'm glad things are going in the right direction and hope you're home soon.

Congratulations bang, hope St Richards is treating you kindly. If you see Cynthia tell her I said hi!

I'm loving this phrase 'bullet babies', we really have been getting them out quite quickly haven't we! Shock

Got Isaac legal today Grin We walked around the corner to M&S for nursing bras then had lunch at John Lewis but I think it was all a bit much for my stitchesSad They are smarting somewhat. Hey ho, we had our first family outing, that's the main thing Grin

Thanks for the advice bangles its really interesting to hear your experiences! I'm a clueless first timer, having lots of BH the last two days and wondering constantly ' is this it!'. Just want it all over and done with! Come on baby!

Memphisbelly · 12/02/2015 18:10

Geeky in Boots the Cussions range of new mum stuff is lovely, they do a bath soak with arnica its so nice I used a bottle in first week.

GeekyHybrid · 12/02/2015 18:22

Congrats Bangles!! Enjoy this moment! Congrats on a successful poo too!!

Mini, sorry you've been through so much. Glad your little man is on the mend. You'll soon forget this time once you're both home. Take care of yourself.

Frenetic...any news yet?

39 wks today and my bump has seriously dropped. It's actually uncomfortable to carry around anymore. Hope I go before my Due Date!!

freneticfox · 12/02/2015 20:27

The mammoth Dexter was born at 10.48am weighing a whopping 9lb 10oz!

Lost quite a bit of blood due to having to wrestle him out, recovering OK. Sore, but so happy :)

Purpletoes · 12/02/2015 20:41

Wow that's big frenetic. Congratulations. XxxGrinGrinGrin

tiredvommachine · 12/02/2015 20:45

Congratulations frenetic what an epic birthweight! My little man was only 5lb 3oz at birth and is only now two weeks later 5lb 7 oz.
Hope you are recovering well Flowers

Grinningcat · 12/02/2015 20:47

Had my pregnancy massage today and I am now absolutely exhausted! I am getting BHs about every 20 mins but they are largely painless so I don't think it means anything.

Congratulations to Bang and Frenetic!

tweety89 · 12/02/2015 20:51

Congratulations frenetic! LOL (Mammoth Dexter)! At least you won't need to worry about getting any 0-3-month vests! GrinGrinGrin
