Congratulations Purple! :D

BanglesSpangles · 11/02/2015 19:37

Congrats purple

And thanks for the stool tip memphis- i had the up the bum painkillers too which seemed like an awesome idea at the time!

long thats so nice! I know its silly but I love stuff like that- its the pride of something you have no control of going right. I can remember a nurse once telling me at a smear in a really reverent voice, that i had a 'very normal shaped cervix' and i was so pleased with myself! :D

Memphisbelly · 11/02/2015 19:40

Bangles awesome idea at the time...... Dh had to peel me off the floor after my trip to the loo

freneticfox · 11/02/2015 20:03

Awful tightening across the top of my bump tonight that I've never had.. BH?

longbottom · 11/02/2015 20:26

Bangles that is so funny! I did feel proud for being good!

Frenetic, maybe, my BH have been around the middle?

blankfornames · 11/02/2015 20:52

Massive Congrats Purple!

Frenetic, they sound like BH. My belly goes rock hard from the very top under my boobs..all around the sides and down under my bump. Sorry today didn't work out. Get to bed early and enjoy those last few kicks from your baby while you can!

Had my 38+6 app today. Head is well down and he thinks it's unlikely I'll make it to my due date. Lost more plug also so all in all...I'm ready for action!!

Bangonthedoor · 11/02/2015 21:16

Oooh so things are hotting up now! Not overly! But enough to know that I don't think I'll still be at home in the morning. Having stronger contractions every 6-7 mins lasting about a minute - this has been for just around an hour and a half now. Promising do we think?!

Just spoken to MIL and she has agreed to come here in the night instead of having to wake DD up - in case we need to go to the hospital that is so that's made me happy Smile

GeekyHybrid · 11/02/2015 21:23

Congratulations Purple and welcome to Rowan Flowers Flowers

5 day mw appointment today, he's only lost 5% of his newborn weight despite our feeding difficulties, mw trying to assure me that I am producing enough, doesn't seem to stop him 'creating' even after a 'cluster' of 7 feeds!! To be positive, I managed the cluster so we're getting somewhere. Another positive, the bruising and swelling are significantly reduced however the stitches are now smarting. Any tips?!

Good luck for tomorrow frenetic and for those patiently!! waiting for events 'happen', there should be some more babies tomorrow :-D

PS - looking through my notes, they've recorded the second stage of my labour as 27 minutes and third stage 7 minutes. I wonder if this is a record ;-D

Congrats purple.

Sorry about the delay frenetic. That must be so frustrating. You are overdue some good luck now!

Good luck bang. How exciting.

Well I have a day and a half left until I should meet DD. Unless of course I get bumped like frenetic. The hospital called me today and asked if I would consider changing the day but I said please let me keep it and so far they are. Fingers crossed.

I was putting DS to bed tonight thinking these are the last few days of him being my little one. Soon he'll be a big brother. I just keep wanting to tell him that I'll always love him [far too soppy today].

Grinningcat · 11/02/2015 22:19

Well let's see if reflexology does anything. It was very nice even if it doesn't and hopefully I'll have a good night's sleep. I have my pregnancy massage tomorrow morning followed by lunch with my PIL so should be a good day.

Good luck Bang. It does sound like things are happening for you. Nothing but regular painless BH here. Although to be honest I don't mind staying pregnant for another week, but don't want to go too far over. I'm getting sick of being kicked in the ribs, though I am pleased baby is no longer breech. Wouldn't mind him or her actually engaging at some point!

Memphisbelly · 11/02/2015 22:29

Geeky I will look on my notes tomorrow I know my 3rd stage was 5 mins and stages 1-3 inc stitching up was 1hr 8 mins Confused would prefer to relive my mega long first labour than do the quick one again.

blankfornames · 11/02/2015 22:32

So...what are people doing with their 'lady gardens' coming up to their EDDs?! Not sure what the etiquette is! Blush

Bangonthedoor · 12/02/2015 03:56

Will be thinking of you later today frenetic, please keep us updated.

blank, a few weeks ago I had a go at trimming it all - I think I was around 37/38 weeks but nothing since then. My hair doesn't grow awfully fast either so I never bothered again! Don't know what it looks like though Blush

There's no going back for me now, not sure I'll be at home much longer, maybe a couple of hours? Managed to get some sleep and DP is snoring away still so at least he'll be rested!

blankfornames · 12/02/2015 06:37

Morning Bang, how far apart are the contractions? Exciting times for you and Frenetic!

freneticfox · 12/02/2015 06:51

Off to hospital again, fingers crossed!

thingsarelookingup · 12/02/2015 07:10

Good luck today frenetic and bang.

tiredvommachine · 12/02/2015 07:23

Good luck all!

Memphisbelly · 12/02/2015 07:40

Good luck frenetic and bang!

longbottom · 12/02/2015 07:51

Good luck bang and frenetic!
I've been up all night with toothache, will be ringing the dentist at 8.30am only to be told they won't do anything this late in pregnancy! Pregnancy has destroyed my teeth Sad

LittleMissSunshine33 · 12/02/2015 08:02

Congratulations purple! Thanks

You are good bang getting some sleep! Fingers crossed it happens for you today!
Good luck frenetic looking forward to hearing baby news!

Blank I had waxing last week on my lady garden but can already feel the whisps of hair making their way back!

sandulacek · 12/02/2015 08:19

Good luck bang and Frenetic Flowers

Minichuch · 12/02/2015 09:52

Wow, so much has happened in a week!

Good luck to everyone

Suggestions if you are feeling weepy - I apologise in advance for this post

Well we have had an eventful few days - Lo made a dramatic entrance as it was under emcs - all going well in scbu until got woken by Mw at 5.45 on sat morning, saying he had developed infection and had been moved - infection turned out to be nec - cue embrace team, intubation and transfer to larger hospital with specialist intensive care unit and talk of operation

Anyways, 6 days later - touch wood no op, responding brilliantly to antibiotics, poor mite is nil by mouth for 10 days to give his bowel time to recover - much excitement yesterday as first poo since Friday and it was a good normal one

Still a way to go and don't know when he will come home but I really don't care they can keep him as long as need so long as he is ok

Little bit jealous of the sleepless nights and cuddles but they will come for us

Sorry for long and not so nice post but so pleased everyone else is doing well Grin

Honeybird · 12/02/2015 09:56

Here's hoping we have two more babies today bang and frenetic, good luck!

Sore sore nipples. With first had three or four weeks of this and tried everything under the sun. With second endured two weeks and mostly gave up on trying to fix it, it just gets better by itself for me. So with this one I'm hoping for just another few days of soreness...? It is so worth it for me once the nipples are better.

Honeybird · 12/02/2015 09:57

Wow mini what a roller coaster, glad things are looking better!
