Checking in.. Couple of emergency sections and of the two planned, I'm second. Might be waiting for a while!

Memphisbelly · 11/02/2015 09:57

Frenetic hopefully by lunch you will have him.....the end is in sight....goodbye hip pain hello foxcub

PeppermintInfusion · 11/02/2015 10:27

Best of luck today Frenetic, and congrats on the new arrivals everyone!

I'm 38+2 now, keep waking in the middle of the night wide awake/nauseous/braxton hicks/period type pains. Those of you that have already had your babies, did you find this and how long did you have it before labour?

freneticfox · 11/02/2015 11:37

I officially have the unluckiest pregnancy in the world.. Emergency stacked upon emergency so my section has been rescheduled for tomorrow.

Heartbroken.

Bangonthedoor · 11/02/2015 11:38

Oh frenetic, I'm so sorry for you Sad

Katsand · 11/02/2015 11:44

Frenetic so sorry for you. I guess there is not much they can do but still so frustrating!!!

GeekyHybrid · 11/02/2015 12:26

Hugs frenetic, one more day to eat hot food whilst it's still hot etc... Treat yourself this afternoon to anything you fancy, you deserve it after such rotten luck. Thanks Thanks

Oh frenetic. Poor you. What rotten luck you are having!

Have booked reflexology for this evening in the hope that it might do something. Not really expecting it, but will make me feel like I'm doing something. This baby is quite cozy where it is.

BanglesSpangles · 11/02/2015 13:02

Ooh frenetic, just think of it as your final bit of bad luck and eveything else is going to go swimmingly- will be thinking of you tomorrow!

longbottom · 11/02/2015 13:04

Sorry frenetic. That sucks!

Purpletoes · 11/02/2015 14:19

Oh frenetic that's rubbish. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Memphisbelly · 11/02/2015 14:42

Oh frenetic i feel so frustrated for you!

JacktheLab · 11/02/2015 14:44

Hello all,

I've been lurking just cos life has gotten so busy!

Frenetic crappy news my lovely, are you staying in or going home overnight? Id be making sure that your dp raises merry hell if your not first on the list tomorrow!

Not much going on here, I've got an infection in my wound so on antibiotics and feeling quite ouchy which is frustrating me no end, want to be getting out and about but I'm having to be super careful Hmm

Hope everyone else is well and all of you who are still waiting are not getting too frustrated...these babies do like to do things on their own timescales!!!

freneticfox · 11/02/2015 15:23

Got sent home, in a lot of pain as I wasn't able to eat or drink since last night - they also left me in a room with the ELCS before me who had her baby, with visitors, all crying with joy etc. And then they told me I was being cancelled and made me wait in the same room for another hour while waiting for a midwife to sort my notes.

I appreciate that emergencies take precedent and can't be controlled but it was awful listening to the people in the bed next door.

Honestly after this pregnancy I highly doubt my DH can convince me to do it again.

They've put me first on the list tomorrow, but said there's no guarantee so it's a case of go in, wait and see.

freneticfox · 11/02/2015 15:24

Also the midwife who sent me home said 'well maybe you'll go into labour and get to do it naturally!'

Not helpful.

tiredvommachine · 11/02/2015 15:39

frenetic-That sucks.
Really hope that you are first on the list tomorrow, I really feel for you Flowers

LittleMissSunshine33 · 11/02/2015 16:49

Sorry to hear that frenetic and how they left you in the same room! just keep thinking at least your little one is still happy in you and safe and getting in one last cozy sleep before he gets to meet you! Thanks

Had my midwife appointment today and they won't do a sweep until I'm 41 weeks so have booked me in for next Friday but she said she can't feel any head so fully engaged and if I'm getting daily Braxton hicks it may be the start of it anyway so fingers crossed baby will make it's own way here before then!

Bangonthedoor · 11/02/2015 17:26

frenetic, that's so crap Hmm you must be feeling gutted. Although like others have said, try and enjoy one last night as a twosome. Easier said than done I know.

I'm so frustrated - I've had contractions now every 10-15 minutes since 1:30am this morning. They have not stopped all day or got any worse. I'm just stuck in this one place. Couldn't manage Tescos as planned this morning but my friend still came over and did my eyebrows and nails for me. Dinner out with DP tonight has also been cancelled. I phoned triage just for some advice and she said to get things going just remain active, have lots of wees and have sex....I seriously cannot face having sex with DP when all this bloody mucus is literally spilling out of me!

Any other advice anyone?

Memphisbelly · 11/02/2015 17:44

Bang just keep moving as much as you can, I hate the way they tell you have sex, its usually the last thing on someones mind in that situation

BanglesSpangles · 11/02/2015 17:44

bang something spicy i think is the last thing on the usual triggers list.

Day two and a half in the big baby house... Still no poo for me. And its not because im too scared to try now, i just dont need go! Have tried lactulose but nobody warned me about the evil smelling farts that it would create. Have blatantly been blaming Sid.

purpleteapig · 11/02/2015 18:19

Congrats to all who've had their babies recently, and Bang & Frenetic, sure you'll be meeting your little ones very soon!

I had baby Rowan yesterday (5 days over) - he weighed 8lb9 and he'd turned back to back, despite being right way around on the scan the day before, ouch! He's lovely - we have to stay in hospital as he's a bit jaundiced but fingers crossed will be able to go home soon.

Bangonthedoor · 11/02/2015 18:23

Ah congrats purple! How lovely Thanks

Memphisbelly · 11/02/2015 18:47

Purple congrats!

Bangles I had the supposetry put up my bum and it made my farts honk like a rat had died up there, the tablet made whatever first came out like stone it was awful, keep a stool or a few books in the loo as if your knees are higher than your hips its suppost to help matters Wink

longbottom · 11/02/2015 18:51

Congrats purple!

I saw the midwife today for 38 week appointment, she went and got two students to feel my tummy as it's a perfect training bump?! They were all loving it and hoping to be present at my birth?! No idea what a perfect training bump or birth is like.
She told me they will let me go 12 days over before induction, but booked my 40 week appointment around the students being able to see. Baby is no more engaged sadly but head down.

Purpletoes · 11/02/2015 18:55

Congratulations purple. Lovely name.

Bang I hope it progresses got you.

Well I have had tightenings all day. And feel tired but not holding out hope for it to be anything more. My stomach is rock hard but not painful. I am currently 38+3. DS was late 41+1!

I have my mum coming tomorrow to spend the weekend with me and ds before the baby arrives and its ds's birthday on Monday so I have 2 cakes to bake! SmileSmile
