Good luck today postit! Looking forward to hearing news.

Kats - I feel similar: I'm more worried about logistics with my son than the labour. SIL is coming but she's about 1.5 hrs away so I need to get the timings right (hopefully no false alarms but also don't wanna leave it too late!).

40 wks today -never thought I'd go overdue!

Honeybird · 05/02/2015 06:25

katsand exactly the same here. We have a few people lined up and wanting to help with 2 little ones, but they may be working, Ddad is much further away, it all depends on day of week and time of day. Playing it all by ear but would be much happier with a real plan!

Honeybird · 05/02/2015 06:27

With DD I had a proper false alarm a week before she was born and dragged my dad down from an hour's drive away for nothing. He was very good about it...

Bangonthedoor · 05/02/2015 06:58

Morning all Smile

Well 39+6 today - had an amazing night sleep (on the sofa) didn't wake up to blow my nose or have a drink once. Still feel coldy but can live with that as long as I've had sleep!

If labour could start today at some point it would be so handy Grin if only we could choose! MIL doesn't have any other grandchildren to look after on a Thursday and only one tomorrow so that would be child care sorted and DP would get an extra couple of days off with us with it being the weekend.

Back ache disappeared, I've been getting small period type pains but it all just goes away! Hmm

Honeybird · 05/02/2015 07:58

So frustrating bang, I like to plan everything. I'm 39 today but with previous two having arrived at 39 and at 39+4 I haven't really been expecting to go all the way to 40.

Last day in the office today! My colleagues are pleased, ready to get rid of me, they all seem to think my waters are going to go with screaming and contractions and huge drama here in the office at any time...

BanglesSpangles · 05/02/2015 08:29

Morning all
Stomach muscles still sore and have been joined by tooth ache, like my whole jaw has swollen up- oh well, ive not suffered with anything typically pregnancy-y the last 38 weeks, so why change the record now!

Think im going to go to town to get some netting today to make my niece a tutu. May also attempt chocolate eclairs, just because

loopsyloup · 05/02/2015 08:34

Morning all! My LO turned up early - ended up with a c section which was very welcome, but delighted with my little girl - lovely for dc1 to have a little sister and makes clothes etc so much easier! Managed a feed and she's now napping - hope this lasts...

Hope more turn up for you guys - I remember how annoying it is waiting while others turn up early!congrats tithe other new babies, and hurrah on the successful ECVs.

GeekyHybrid · 05/02/2015 08:55

Yay loopsy, another girl to add to the mix and a bonus for you!

bang I'm glad you finally got a good nights sleep, it just keeps you feeling that tiny bit more human Wink I did hope that mine the other night was the calm before the storm type thing but wishful thinking as usual!

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 05/02/2015 09:23

Congratulations loopsy Flowers

Bangonthedoor · 05/02/2015 09:24

Congrats on your baby girl loopsy! Thanks

I'm such a planner too honey, I hope you're last day at work goes well Grin

Thanks geeky, it makes such a difference to your well being doesn't it...even if it is just for one day!

Just dropped DD at nursery and instead of doing the usual bed making, toy tidying etc, I've made myself a cosy duvet nest on the sofa with a cup of tea and my iPad (plus Jeremy Kyle obviously) and this is where I intend to stay until 1pm Grin

Ooh I love chocolate eclairs bangles, I've got such a thing for cake at the moment!

BanglesSpangles · 05/02/2015 09:51

Im trying to bake a different thing each day of mat leave until the baby gets here... So far 4 days in and have only bothered to do one thing!

freneticfox · 05/02/2015 10:31

Congratulations loopsy!

Thinking of you postit, hope all goes well.

Amazing that babies are arriving :)

tweety89 · 05/02/2015 11:45

Morning all and congratulations to all the new additions! :)
honey I'd be horrified to work until my 39th week especially since your previous two having arrived around this time. I'm 37 today and apart from the pain in my pelvis, I'm dreading walking into town to run some errands and going to the hospital to have my last app with the specialist in case my waters break, but I have to, so...! :)
Good luck postit! :) Thursdays are good days for a cs I see -frenetic next Thursday and why as well if I'm not mistaken? I'm going in Thursday 19th! Grin).

Grinningcat · 05/02/2015 11:49

Congratulations loopsy. Another girl! How many babies do we have now? We must be well into double figures by now.

Didn't get to sleep until 4am, but have caught up since. I was just too awake last night and had very twitchy legs. Maybe a result of the drugs? Can't remember how I felt after the anti d last time. Also I need to get used to getting kicked in different places now baby is the right way round. Ended up downstairs where I could fidget to my hearts content much to the cat's annoyance Grin. Then ended up making myself a tuna sandwich at 3am which was delicious. Might have pancakes for lunch... Although chocolate eclairs might just make me go out to the supermarket.

Have just booked my pregnacy pamper package for next Thursday. Sooo looking forward to it. Thank you DH.

BanglesSpangles · 05/02/2015 12:57

Superspreadsheet says 14 ,grinning - hope ive not missed anyone off!

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 05/02/2015 13:04

Had my pre-op. Found out that my hospital do delayed cord clamping, even for c section, as standard. I thought that was really good. Feeling OK about elcs - even the catheter which I've been more worried about than the section!

Tweety its Tuesday for me.

freneticfox · 05/02/2015 13:38

WhyO - I have my pre-op this afternoon. Quite nervous!

suzimagoozi · 05/02/2015 15:23

Congrats Loopsy Thanks

Had a sweep this morning at my 41 week appointment and now having light cramps every 10 mins or so. Please God let this be early labour. I'm growing so impatient to meet my little girl and have put a roast chicken on to tempt fate and hurry things along.

Bangonthedoor · 05/02/2015 15:41

How did you find your sweep suzi? I've got one on Tuesday if nothing before then. I was normally ok with the thought of them until one I had last time which was horrendously painful.

NicLondon1 · 05/02/2015 15:52

Congrats to the new babies and good luck to those that are imminent!
I'm desperately waiting for signs of labour... had a week of quite strong period pains, two days of the runs (sorry for TMI) and today the midwife said the baby is 3/5 engaged and that "things might happen quite soon" - which transpired to be within a week. Not soon enough!! Am 39 + 2 but very eager to get things going.... everyone has been born early in my family so I never counted on going overdue, am starting to adjust the mindset though...

suzimagoozi · 05/02/2015 16:28

Bang was more uncomfortable than painful I'd say. Kind of like how I feel about getting a tooth drilled at the dentist! There was a good looking young medical student who sat in on the appointment. He did fundal height measurement and doppler but I was relieved when the mw took over for the sweep and he moved to the other side of the curtain. I don't think I'm a prude but it certainly would have made it less comfortable had he performed it Blush
(also glad DH wasn't there as I'm not sure how he would have felt about the extra observer Wink )

jenmcspen · 05/02/2015 16:30

Having trouble keeping up with everyone now you are all so close to babies and so many ppl are on mat leave.

Hoping everyone is okay, and welcome to all our new babies and new posters Smile

Enjoying being a mummy, but soo busy with visitors, feeding and changing that don't get to check thread much at the moment. Really glad OH is off for a bit longer to help out Smile
