Happy February everybody! Oh donkir hope you get some sleep soon. They'll let you home today if baby doesn't have any signs of infection right?
Congrats babysquidge!

Becca1818 · 01/02/2015 08:58

I can't believe it's February already! It felt like I was going to be pregnant forever!

Alas I have 48hours until my elcs!

Congratulations to all those who have already had their little ones!

JacktheLab · 01/02/2015 09:03

Morning all,

If you want to join the facebook group, just pm me with your email address and I can send you an invite.

Babysquidge, come talk to us! I'm sure I talk a power of rubbish, but no-one else seems to mind ;)

Six days old today and little miss seems to be having an awake day, which is lovely :) I've got the baby bouncer chair out and she's been happily sitting away watching what we are up to. I did google to check what age I could use them from - three years seems like a long time ago!!!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 01/02/2015 09:07

Congratulations donkir and baby!! More boys to add to the list Smile

Happy February! Can't believe it's here scared/excited!!

Sorry to all those who are sleep deprived I'm having to do lots of walking in the day which tires me out! Today though I have a 1st and 3rd birthday parties to go to so should sleep very soundly tonight - might go on the bouncy castle see if I can bounce this baby out!

Memphisbelly · 01/02/2015 09:21

Giantbaby I had a scan at 38 weeks and baby was measuring 7pound 6 he was born at 7 pound 2 so don't take measurements as gospel. Sadly it doesn't matter how big or small baby is a big baby doesnt always mean being cut sometimes the weight of a bigger baby helps gravity. I was cut both times and it really was ok even without pain relief this time it was fine (before the birth this would have freaked me out beyond belief) but it was a case of a small cut to help him pop out or being given a general for a crash c section. You will be fine I promise.

Pinky take 3 of those every day you just suck them, stsrt now and carry on for a week or 2 after.

Baby woke at 1.30 and 5.30 last night.....that I can cope with Grin

BanglesSpangles · 01/02/2015 09:41

Congats donkir and baby :)

Pinky, ive been taking 2 of those things in the purple tube for a week- the instructions werent very descriptive!

Had friends over yesterday for raclette (trying out my raclette grill christmas present) was basically the most middle class thing ive ever done :D) and planning a day of very little- food shop and tidying the back bedroom and thats about it

GeekyHybrid · 01/02/2015 09:59

Congratulations baby Thanks Thanks

The difference a good nights sleep makes! Sorry to those who suffered last night but boy did I need a night off. Apart from the shopping I did sweet FA yesterday cos of feeling so crap - icky, tired etc. OH not working today so figured I would give bed a try. Propped up on so many pillows but managed to drop off, was up 4-5 times but got back to sleep each time. First time I've made it to daylight without a 2-3 hour waking gap in ages. Watching the tennis to celebrate Grin

donkir I hope you get some sleep soon, have they given you any idea about when you can go home?

It's February, gals. We're front of the queue.

EEEK.

Bangonthedoor · 01/02/2015 10:51

Glad you're feeling better after a good nights sleep geeky, it's amazing what I can do to your mood!

I'm still feeling so knackered and fed up of these nosebleeds from blowing my nose and the headache that won't shift Hmm but my amazing sister has taken DD to the park on her scooter so I've popped up to bed for a bit. So lucky to have her, she's been more help than DP ever has Smile

littlemiss I say definitely give the bouncy castle a try Grin I've been considering DD's trampoline if I can brave the weather!

Happy Feb everyone, let's get these kids out Grin

Giantbabymama · 01/02/2015 11:44

Thanks memphis. Think I was having a bit of a wobble. Baby has measured large all the way through but I suspect may just have a big head like his/her dad as that seems to be how they calculate it, measuring head. Not that a big head is particularly good news either....

longbottom · 01/02/2015 12:54

I slept from midnight til 8!!
Feeling fresh, taking DD go the cinema later on. Have had a good tidy up and clean today, more braxton hicks and now lunching on the sofa Smile
24 days until due date, not that we are counting!!

Bangonthedoor · 01/02/2015 13:17

Sounds fab long, have a nice afternoon Smile

tweety89 · 01/02/2015 13:29

Congrats baby!
DD is poorly since yesterday (39.6 the highest she reached), but bless her she's still full of beans. As she hasn't had any temperature or real illnesses since Nov 2012, I was a bit concerned so last night I slept around 2am (and of course we woke up around 7.30... -.-). Knackered...

18 days and today till cs app. woohoo!! :)

Bangonthedoor · 01/02/2015 13:43

I hope your DD gets better soon tweety, it's so hard isn't it when they're poorly. That's good going though if she hasn't been poorly for so long! How have you managed it?! DD is always poorly!

tweety89 · 01/02/2015 14:55

bang thank you. I really hope she is ok for school tomorrow. Too knackered to be looking after her until DP comes back from work.
Oh, it was terrible between 13 and 27 months (especially the first 3 months of her nursery she was ill every single day - eye infections, ear infection, chest infections, you name it, she had it... :( ), we were at the A&E almost weekly, she was seen by a Thames doc at least once a week as well and the GP once a month...Along with my PND (which lasted for more than 3 years...) I had a very sick child to look after and worry about...
In Nov 2012, we were at the hospital to see her allergiologist (that's why I remember the date) and because of her high temperature we were sent to the A&E immediately and they kept us there for 5 hours until the Registrar himself came to see her (he didn't want to sign our discharge otherwise) and after examining her, he told me that she's fine and that it's 'normal' for children to be ill when they first start nursery/pre-school but I should still trust my instinct and take her to the hospital if I feel like there is something wrong. Magically after that day, she was fine!! Only minor colds, coughs, the odd chest infection but nothing major. Apparently what people were telling me all those horrible months was true, she was indeed building her immune system! :)

Littleflump15 · 01/02/2015 15:01

Hi everyone, been out for a Sunday lunch and a bit of a walk nothing much seems to be happening here, due in five days but definitely doesn't seem like any things happening or going to happen any time soon getting impatient now!! :-)

Bangonthedoor · 01/02/2015 15:18

Oh that sounds horrible tweety! Sad I'm hoping DD is doing the same...just building her immune system up!

Nothing much here either littleflump, went on a big walk yesterday and having reflexology tomorrow evening along with nightly bouncing sessions on the ball. I've also started using evening primrose oil as that's supposed to help too?! Going to try and get a march on around my village tomorrow, will (reluctantly) have to put DD in a buggy though otherwise it will be pointless walking at her speed!

Not going to do the curry/pineapple thing, has anyone else got any good ideas/tips? Not sure I can face sex Blush

Memphisbelly · 01/02/2015 15:22

Congrats baby!

Giant with my ds1 my last growth scan at 35 weeks showed he was going to be a 10-11pounder when born...he was 6pound 14, thry had measured his head at 75th centile and belly at 50th

suzimagoozi · 01/02/2015 15:39

Littleflump sounds just like my day! Had hoped the big walk and roast would help things along here. 3 days overdue and I have parents who've flown from Aus for the birth but are only here for 10 more days so something had better happen soon!!

Littleflump15 · 01/02/2015 15:49

Suzimagoozi that's rubbish I have lots of people waiting and excited but luckily nobody that's made a special trip! Have they mentioned sweeps/induction at all? As a ftm I'm also not really sure what I'm waiting for looking for just hoping it will be obvious once it starts. Had lots of twinges and niggles for last couple of weeks but nothing much exciting. Hopefully some babies in the next week :-)

Grinningcat · 01/02/2015 18:10

Have just spent the last hour or so getting the pushchair out of the box and put together. Squee! Very exciting! Have tried the car seat in the chassis and everything. Now sat eating my first mini eggs of the season while DH makes me coffee after all my hard work. Smile

Memphisbelly · 01/02/2015 18:14

Oh suzy that sucks. Getcdoing star jumps, apparently walking up and down stairs sidewards helps open cervix.

Our landlord is in florida and our hot water has packed up......perfect timing with me needing daily showers or baths, and being that ds has been falling over and climbing in park so is mudded up! We have his sons number but hoping he pulls his finger out as wuick as our landlord who is fab

Giantbabymama · 01/02/2015 18:17

Gosh that is a heck of a difference memphis. It's the way the docs here cheerfully state that your baby is going to be a certain size as if is bald fact rather than an estimate based in arbitrary measurements and averages, makes it hard to argue.

bellaboo88 · 01/02/2015 18:49

For you ladies who bounce, are you simply bouncing or doing any hip rolls etc? How long do you manage?

Had a good go last night, lots of fanny daggers...not sure if it means anything but it feels productive. Possibly might burn some calories too! I'm permanently hungry :(

Bella I just used to sit on it for most of night as I found it more comfy than being on the sofa
