Boys name -i always wanted Aneurin but was told by good friend it was almost abuse :-/ thinking either Henry or William for this one, or Freya for a girl which we both like Smile
Wore maternity trousers for work -utter bliss!

Mummytogoldie · 06/02/2015 00:11

Just an update x had another scan yesterday and baby was all good and they put me forward 5 days :) the confusing part is that that would mean I conceived before I miscarried!??? Very strange. Epau said sometimes strange things happen and not to dwell on it, just concentrate on the here and now, and there's a baby in there yey :) due date been put forward to the 5th September

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/02/2015 03:15

So, I'm awake. Brain is buzzing away like anything. Last time I couldn't imagine anything would be wrong, this time I can't imagine it being right. I've got to get through 3 double lessons before this appointment as well. I know I'm now going to be exhausted. I'm meant to have my PT tomorrow evening too, I just can't settle. Told DH that I will cry either way and I will.

alien11 · 06/02/2015 05:18

mummyto great news re scan.gow amazing!
doctornoble I'm wide awake too?? I hope your appt goes well x

I know I keep asking but what would you do re appt for the little bit of spotting?worth a chat with doc airing my concerns?really want a scan before holiday ( which I've forgotten about really??) happy to pay for one-7 +1 today when would you go for one?i fly when 10 weeks.

Treaclepie19 · 06/02/2015 07:27

Congrats mummy :)
Good luck today doctordonna xxx

Alien I'd definitely go and see your gp. They should refer you for an early scan which means you won't have to pay and it will probably be sooner than you would book.

Quinandthem · 06/02/2015 07:45

Buckled and had a private scan last night since when I chased my referral my booking in appointment would be at 12wks and the scan later some time.

Scan showed a wiggly baby with good heartbeat so obviously ecstatic and relieved in equal measures.

11wks today with no symptoms except fuller boobs - as has been with my previous pregnancy with dd and my 2 mc.

Good luck to everyone with worries.

alien11 · 06/02/2015 07:59

Yay that's great news quin really pleased for you. 11 weeks wow!

I'm going to call docs and see what they say. I don't think I'll relax if I don't call them. Thank you

lovesmycake · 06/02/2015 08:03

alien if you end up having to pay for one I would just get one as soon as possible at 7+1 they will see everything they need too (heartbeat) and could confirm it was all alright, and that way you would have peace of mind sooner. I think the Dr should refer you though.Flowers

alien11 · 06/02/2015 08:10

Docs appt @1120. Receptionist said I will need to speak to a doc about it & found me a lady doctors available. I don't mind either but thought that was rather sweet. I'm so lucky my docs are really good( minus being shut yday for training haha)

I'm going to tell her what happened last night, lack of symptoms, being very worried about it especially with holiday few weeks away.

My usual doc is away on holiday but I know she wouldn't have hesitated in sending me for a scan as knows I've been so wanting this pregnancy and she's helped me loads.will keep you updated.
Thank you so much for helping x

Snowflake15 · 06/02/2015 08:12

Good luck alienFlowers

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/02/2015 08:18

Hope you get your referral Alien

Treaclepie19 · 06/02/2015 08:19

Good luck with your appointment alien :)

I think i may have vaginosis but can't get in to see the doctor today. It'll have to be next week. Problem is I know it can cause problems in pregnancy.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/02/2015 08:31

Do you have a walk in centre near you, Treacle? They might be able to help.

Treaclepie19 · 06/02/2015 08:34

Yeah I do but they're not very good :(
the symptoms aren't as bad as yesterday so I'm hoping it'll be ok.
Thing is I get a lot of irritation anyway so I can never be sure whether it's thrush, vaginosis or just irritation.

SpamAnderson · 06/02/2015 08:42

Anyone suffering with low blood pressure? I'm sure that's my problem at the min, since I went to bed last night, the world has been spinning, my eyes keep moving and I can't stop them, super dizzy and look like I'm drunk. Thrown up again this morning but I'm not sure if it's morning sickness, blood pressure or even a bug?! Got an drs appointment at 10 this morning but haven't got anyone to take me so I've got to walk on my own :/ that'll be interesting

eallison88 · 06/02/2015 08:43

Thank you to whoever it was who told me to go to the docs. After vomiting pretty much on the hour very hour for nearly two days I decided enough was enough. Went to docs last night (cried to receptionist so she squeezed me in). He took vitals and tested my urine and sent me to hospital. There I Was (eventually!!!) put on a drip and given an anti-nausea injection in my bum (ow!) They wanted to keep me in overnight for more saline, but I had a bit of a melty breakdown. So it was agreed I'd gone after a bag of saline, with some very sexy compression stockings and an injection in my tummy to prevent clotting on the agreement that I go back this morning for more saline.

apparently I have what princess hate has hyperwhatsit gravidodah (that's definitely the correct medical term...!)

eallison88 · 06/02/2015 08:43

Kate. Not hate!

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 06/02/2015 08:44

cornberry sorry you're not feeling better, I'm still being sick first thing and after dinner but just feeling greatful I've a bit of a reprieve late morning.

Joy of today is DS has got chicken pox - arghhh!

Treaclepie19 · 06/02/2015 08:46

Hope you manage to get there ok spam.

Eallison, glad they're sorting it for you.

Anyone else not got a booking appointment yet?
I'm still waiting for my midwife to call me back. 7+5 today.
I think she only works wednesdays though so it's very difficult to get in touch.

lovesmycake · 06/02/2015 08:47

spam I get very low blood pressure when pregnant but yours sounds a bit more serious then that - vertigo perhaps or an ear infection i'm just guessing I have no medical knowledge at all but think you are definitely right to go to the Dr's - what about a taxi?

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 06/02/2015 08:47

eallison oh no! Hope it's helped, take it easy my sister was hospitalised with that too, that's why I have the guilt about moaning about my sickness.

alien11 · 06/02/2015 09:29

Oh eallison * you poor thing!

ShootTheMoon · 06/02/2015 09:30

Eallison hyperemesis gravidarum? Poor you! Glad they got you treated quickly. How are you feeling now?

eallison88 · 06/02/2015 09:54

That sounds right shootthemoon, though I quite luke my name. I feel so much better this morning. Ive managed to eat two small bowls of cereal without being sick. the saline and the jab are a wonder combination. Just waiting now to see what they want to do next.think ill be getting a bit more saline then a prescription of anti vom drugs and home. Hopefully the drugs will work and I'll be able to get on with my life.

I cried with relief last night when they said I was medically unwell, not just being pathetic and not coping with pregnancy! cos this is my first I had no idea what was Normal and have watchedy two sister in laws have 5 nice easy pregnancies. I think the fact that I know I'm not just being pathetic is such a weight off my shoulders so I already feel better!

Mummyboo30 · 06/02/2015 10:06

Glad you're on the mend eallison it sounds pretty awful.
spam I hope you get to the doctors ok, as lovesmycake said, could you not cab it? If you can walk it, it can't be that far, a cab wouldn't cost much.

Found out yesterday that a friend of mine (one of the few that lives near me) is pregnant and only 2 weeks behind me! I'm very glad to have someone IRL to go through it with! We already have DDs that will be in the same school year, so assuming everything goes ok, our second ones will too! Smile

I hope all those with sickness feel better soon, and good luck to all those having scans today.
