chuch it's so hard to decide who to tell and when. I say if it would make you feel better having someone you can talk to who's in the same situation then go for it! As long as you can trust her to keep it to herself of course

Lauramum23 · 31/01/2015 21:06

Is it still the term after their 3rd birthday when they get free preschool hours? I can't remember but is it after Easter for September kids? Like you say when baby is here it will work out good for you.

Mummytogoldie · 31/01/2015 22:13

I am excited now seb at how clear that pic is cos I am having a scan on Wednesday when I will be 9 weeks and didn't realise it would be that clear :) wow to seeing the arms and legs moving to x was that just a normal NHS scan or a private one?

alien11 · 31/01/2015 22:20

laura yes it's the term after their 3rd birthday. So for sept birthdays it's the January. We started our dd in the sept as she was more than ready.she only does a couple of mornings at the mo and is excited about doing whole days from September. Hopefully she ll be as excited at the news of having a baby bro or sisSmile

sebsmummy1 · 31/01/2015 22:21

It was a private scan but it's run by my NHS hospital. I think the Sonographers are regular staff who do overtime at the weekend. I had a BabyBond scan at 9 weeks with my son and we were comparing the photos today and today's photos were massively clearer.

StillRising · 31/01/2015 22:54

Hello everyone, I ditched the thread for a while as I had some bleeding, but a scan at 6 weeks showed a heartbeat so I am relieved. I will be 8 weeks tomorrow :) I am nauseated and have some very bad days, no heartburn but such exhaustion plus I feel so fat, my tights keep rolling down :( Is there a Facebook group yet?

TerrysNo3 · 31/01/2015 23:20

great news on the scan sebs, especially as you were so worried. Time to relax and enjoy?? Grin

I'm feeling really sad tonight as our best man and his wife have not been able to conceive naturally and although the NHS are funding IVF they've been told there is only a 10-15% chance. Sad DH did tell his friend about us and whilst I know they will be happy for us I just can't help thinking it's so unfair for them that we're having number 3 and are struggling. It really makes you appreciate things!!

TerrysNo3 · 31/01/2015 23:20

...and they are struggling...

Cornberry · 31/01/2015 23:40

chuch I wish I had a friend who was around the same length of time pregnant! I'm desperate for the complicity and the chats! I would probably tell...

Sundaysmumisfullofwine · 01/02/2015 06:36

Ugh I'd forgotten the ridiculously vivid pregnancy dreams!

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 01/02/2015 07:58

Haha - the dreams were what gave me an.inkling I might be pregnant!

Thanks for the info on appointments and things. Still a bit worried due to generally feeling ok but then ravenous appetite kicks in. Trying not to.eat too much more than.normal just more regularly, as heard you only need to eat for two until 3rd trimester and then it's only 200 calcs more.

I have to travel a fair bit too - so far there's Greece, Italy and France booked in for work trips and then France and China for holidays. Mostly all in 2nd trimester so touch wood will be feeling ok. Going to.check.with insurers (aviva) tomorrow to make sure we're covered. Apparently they're very good but have removed any reference to pregnancy from their cover - I presume on the back of the discrimination ruling - and only talk about 'illness' and 'requiring medical attention' 'attending a&e' etc. Feels like it should therefore cover anything untoward (i.e. not normal pregnancy) but want to check to make sure.

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 01/02/2015 07:59

Agh, too many typos and random full stops. Hate this phone!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 01/02/2015 08:07

Woke up really hungry at 1am. Vivid dreams a go go here as well. Boobs are getting ridiculous. Growing all the time and so very tender! Midwife appointment is on Wednesday. It seemed like a long way away when I made the appointment but actually it's gone quite quickly.

alien11 · 01/02/2015 08:15

Ah got love about 3hrs sleep from dh heavy night out at a party... So so tired and dd on full steam this morning Smile
The thought of having two is rather daunting right nowWink

You all up to much today? We have a new friend and her hubby and son over for Sunday lunch and too watch the footie. Really looking forward to it Smile

shinjuku09 · 01/02/2015 08:16

Right as usual trying to catch up on last few pages at least! That's great news still!

And how lovely does your scan sound, sebsmummy! This makes me tempted to wait till nine weeks instead of eight but then DH is already saying if we wait till eight why don't we wait till twelve!

alien11 · 01/02/2015 08:19

Lastnightiwenttomanderly- thanks for the reminder re insurance! Need to check mine re skiing in few weeks Smile
What a lot of lovely trips you have planned, you lucky thing!

shinjuku09 · 01/02/2015 08:26

An impressed with those who can still drink anything closely resembling alcohol. I can only stomach water and in the evenings only tonic water with ice! But when I feel better I'll be stocking up on Erdinger Alcoholfrei which I think is the best I've tried, with the possible exception of Brewdog Nanny State, which is more like an ale (both have tiny amounts of alcohol in - 0.5% I think - but still classed as alcohol free). Bavaria also good. Tempted to order some Torrres wine online to try it out but it's pricey and think I'd rather just stick to non alcoholic beer with the odd real glass of wine!

Maternity clothes - Next, H&M and New Look all quite good. New Look my fave though quality varies. Isabella Oliver and Seraphine good if you want something more posh.

mrsdos · 01/02/2015 08:30

Lastnight it was the crazy dreams that made me wonder too!
I am strangely looking forward to tomorrows scan, even though it could carry bad news Hmm We are debating telling my Dad today as its his birthday tomorrow but don't really have to make that call if things aren't right!Confused

Mummyboo30 · 01/02/2015 08:45

It's not so much vivid dreams here as horribly real nightmares. :(
Last night I dreamt that I lost DD. I had no idea where she was, I was just running around screaming her name, crying.
Awful.
The previous night DH had given me up in an indecent proposal style incident, except to a dodgy mechanic from the Inbetweeners...! Confused

StrawberryCheese · 01/02/2015 08:52

I had an awful night, vivid dreams, backache and I think I may be coming down with a cold Sad DH has gone to work so I'm curled up on the sofa watching the tennis. Need to finish a job application today but I'm so not in the mood.

Becca83 · 01/02/2015 08:55

I feel awful this morning. The nausea is just overwhelming. I can't bare the thought of commuting to work tomorrow. Gonna hunt down some acupuncture bands today. Really hope this passes.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 01/02/2015 08:57

Strawberry - I know the feeling! I'm putting off some work I need to do for work tomorrow. My brain can't focus on King Lear and The Picture of Dorian Gray at the moment! Feeling nauseous and need to tackle sweeping out the fireplace. Glad that DH has the next two days off so we don't need to be ashamed when the midwife comes round!

alien11 · 01/02/2015 09:19

Bad cramps Hmm I seriously never relax ,never have a chance too. Am so worried as it's not good for baby for me to not relax

Treaclepie19 · 01/02/2015 09:21

You sound the same as me alien, also having bad cramps.
My doctor signed me off work because I never relax. I was getting far too stressed.
Make sure to look after yourself x

duckbilled · 01/02/2015 09:39

Feeling the hormonal rage this morning! dh went out last night and rolled in about 2am, but then snored all night Angry. Of course he didn't hear dd wake up this morning, so I am running around after a toddler like a zombie!
