bippidee I filled my form in back in December and still not heard from midwife, I'm now 9+2, been told to wait till 10 weeks before contacting them to check! Thankfully I'm under the epu at the mo and have a scan Tuesday!

showtunesgirl · 30/01/2015 17:49

I miss normal food.

I miss my curries but right now even the thought of anything curried makes me want to throw up. Sad

DeladionInch · 30/01/2015 17:50

Went into m+s for non undersides bras today. The regular ones were vile so I bought nursing ones for the same price - much prettier :o

I clearly exude an air of "don't even" though because the sales lady didn't even try and ask probing questions despite the 2yo in tow either that or I look hippier than I thought

nutelladipper · 30/01/2015 18:28

I can't believe we're nearly half way through this thread. Chatty ladies.

Boring here. Symptoms are nearly all gone. Feel like the scan is in reach now.

10+3

Snowflake15 · 30/01/2015 18:38

sauvblanc21 · 30/01/2015 18:44

Anyone else really gagging for a glass of wine tonight? I nearly wept when loads of Year 11s turned up for revision after school today - I mean, I commend their enthusiasm of course but on a FRIDAY???? After I've had a full day!? Get a life Wink
Slurping on non-alcoholic beer as I type...xxx

Treaclepie19 · 30/01/2015 19:11

I've got a cold :(
Having to have Paracetamol as my temp is on the rise.
Hoping temp won't affect baby.

alien11 · 30/01/2015 19:12

I would love a glass of vino! I've jumped into bed after putting dd to bed to try grab an hrs nap before watching a film with dh! Wine would be a perfect accompaniment ??

Boodlymummy · 30/01/2015 19:14

OMG no alcohol beer! Of course! Why haven't I thought of this?! Been sipping cranberry juice or dry ginger beer of an evening, desperately wanting something alcoholic tasting. Going to buy some now!

NatalieBee · 30/01/2015 19:26

Scan came in post today :) 3 weeks exactly 20/02/2015! I'll be 12+3!

Hope everyone is well x

sauvblanc21 · 30/01/2015 19:31

Boodly - buy Becks Blue. Satisfies nicely Smile xx

Cornberry · 30/01/2015 19:46

Thanks, I survived it. Had a few difficult moments, had to do some deep breathing and have some water but stayed for the duration. It took over 2 hours! I was so anxious my bp was 162/93 so I've to go and get my GP to take it again as that is obviously not my normal resting bp!

I've got another midwife appointment in 6 weeks.

misssmilla1 · 30/01/2015 19:52

snow I'm in New York so not much help, but try either the baking aisle at the supermarket by the nuts, dried fruits etc or try a health food shop like Holland & Barrett.

On the booze front - I celebrated my birthday yesterday alcohol free for the first time in about 22 years. It was a novel sensation to say the least Confused We were out for dinner and I did some whining about having 1 sip of the OH's wine but he didn't give in. To be fair I took a sniff of it and it smelt rank (he assured me it wasn't - very nice of him!)

Boodlymummy · 30/01/2015 20:16

Sauv, I'm on the Becks Blue, was a promising start but finding it has a nasty aftertaste, so tomorrow I'll try making it into shandy. Desperate times...!

Lauramum23 · 30/01/2015 20:20

Last summer I tried a non alcoholic beer I think I must have been driving and it was flavoured maybe cherry and it was bloody lovely! Barvaria maybe??? Not sure I'll find out,it's gonna be hard in summer at bbqs I suppose but I'm not a massive drinker anyway. That shloer stuffs nice too.
I'm gonna have to get some new tit slings mine are pretty sore today.
Does anyone else get moments of excitement and then moments of holy shit balls I'm having a baby eeeekkk oh and then moments of it's too good to be true etc Grin

sauvblanc21 · 30/01/2015 20:22

Yep boodly, it's so close but so not booze! Haha! We've swapped, I'm guzzling ginger beer now xx

showtunesgirl · 30/01/2015 21:04

The smell of alcohol makes me heave.

thecrab · 30/01/2015 21:22

booked my reassurance scan with a private clinic for a few weeks time, not thrilled with how long I have to wait tbh as it'll be after I see my MW and I'd rather have the scan before I see her just in case it hasn't worked out so I'm not wasting her time... if that makes any sense?

Any one know if there is another way I can get an eariler scan? Just want to see the little heart beat so bad Sad

sebsmummy1 · 30/01/2015 22:09

Shitting myself for tomorrow. Really scared they are going to date me earlier than I am and I'm going to have to pretend I'm positive when I know exactly when I ovulated and if it isn't around the 9 week mark then things aren't right.

I think I've heard it can be out by 5 days either way. They got my son spot on when they scanned at 9 weeks, just praying that this one is a fighter too.

Treaclepie19 · 30/01/2015 22:40

Me too showtunes!
If im near anyone drinking alcohol I have to move.

thecrab, nhs only do scans for pain or bleeding generally.
Hopefully someone will be able to offer you some advice.

I really have my fingers crossed for you sebs, try and think positively.
I was sure I would have a repeat of my mc when I went for the scan but it went better than I could ever have imagined.

I hope the same happens for you x

Tallalime · 30/01/2015 23:10

I have had a bit of spotting this evening Sad Literally only a tiny bit and I am in no pain (well a tiny bit of dull crampy pains but I have had those througout).

I did a bunch of crunches etc earlier but that won't cause it will it? I am absolutely gutted and not feeling at all positive now. If I get any more overnight will phone EPU in the morning.

Am so upset but trying not to be as it's pointless, what will be will be.

DefinitelyNotElsa · 31/01/2015 06:40

For those of you looking for a replacement alcoholic drink - I would most definitely recommend Kopparberg 0% alcohol cider. They taste exactly like the regular ones and they do all the same flavours. I think they will be getting me through summer BBQs!

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 31/01/2015 07:02

Good luck Sebs

Talla finger crossed its nothing, I've given up trying not to worry and just acknowledge I'm pregnant and will be worrying for the next 32 weeks rest is my life
