Great news maths! I was put back quite a bit last time, it happens x

Mummyboo30 · 29/01/2015 19:51

Glad there have been some good results from scans today. Any pics to share? Grin

Allypin · 29/01/2015 20:02

Just trying to catch up...this thread moves sooooo quick!

Sorry to hear people are suffering and for losses. It's such a tough few months to make it to 12 weeks.

I had booking in appt on Tuesday everything was fine other than my clicky hips which I've been referred for. I get to finally book my 12 week scan tomorrow. We've decided against an early scan. Just feel it isn't for us. It will be nice to know it's in the diary though just got to attempt to negotiate it around my hubbies shifts.

Whatabout · 29/01/2015 20:13

Allypin nosey question - what is up with your hip and who are you being referred to? I had an operation on mine four years ago at after having my son 22 months ago it's really bad again. I also now have a bilateral pars defect that has left me on a lot of drugs that I now can't take. I also had pgd badly last time and I'm getting twinges now. I'm hoping I'll get referred to see a consultant maybe this time. Natural birth left me so incapacitated and I was unable yo walk from 36 weeks and couldn't use crutches as I had de quervains. I'm wondering if they might offer me an early c section.

Treaclepie19 · 29/01/2015 21:59

Sorry I couldn't get a pic :(
Wouldn't really have been able to see it properly as baby is so small and flickering! :)
Having cramps tonight and I'm worried. I know I've just got to wait and hope for the best and remember baby looked healthy today.

Bippidee · 29/01/2015 22:15

I forgot about stabby boob pain! Took me rather by surprise earlier. I have STILL not heard from the hospital re booking in/scan. They've had nearly 2 weeks since my gp referred me. Angry

Allypin · 29/01/2015 22:23

I was born with dislocated hips and had a splint. I still get pain sort of stabby sharp pains when I've overdone it. I've also had 3 ops on my knees due to hyper mobile joints etc. my sisters babies were given extra checks after birth because of my hip problems so I guess it's a possibly hereditary type thing. The mw seemed to think it was a referral that would be one appointment and that would be it, just to cover their backs I think. I am slightly concerned about my hips when I'm bigger though!

Whatabout · 29/01/2015 22:23

Bippidee I symoathise with boob pain! Electric shocks here.

Are you certain of the system? My gp referred me last time and then three weeks later I duscoveted it was self referral and she had done nothing!

Grr on your behalf, so annoying to wait.

Treacle "today I am pregnant". Try and relax everything is changing and stretching, and your bowels are often affected too (mine are for sure!) it'll be ok xx

monkeymoonpig · 29/01/2015 22:24

So much for nausea easing at 9 weeks :-/ feel so ick. 4 long weeks till scan but it'll be worth the wait

Whatabout · 29/01/2015 22:27

Allypin sounds like they are taking care of you! I wanted my son scanned as I had a deformed femoral head that was missed till I was in my twenties and then needed major surgery to fix. They refused annoyingly.

My hip wasn't too bad last time it was all back and pelvis so hopefully yours will be ok. Xx

eallison88 · 29/01/2015 22:40

Bloody 'morning' sickness . Just spent most of the last hour chucking my guts up. So that's 3 episodes of hurling today. How long does this last?! Cos I'm really not enjoying itConfused

gicharlie17 · 30/01/2015 00:00

Thanks for the reassurance NatalieBee. I think I'm just worrying unnecessarily as I've had a lot of friends that have had problems with their pregnancies. If the odds are right I should have a happy healthy pregnancy. Fingers crossed. Cannot wait until that 12 weeks scan! x

DoctorDonnaNoble · 30/01/2015 06:27

7 weeks today. 6 weeks to scan. 5 days to midwife appointment. Hopefully I can convince the midwife that I should have an early scan as 13 weeks seems a bit on the late side.

Whatabout · 30/01/2015 07:35

DDN they can't do it too early because of the nuchal fold measuring, my dates were out so I had to go back again for that. Unless they've changed the policy in the last two years, something they do a lot!!

Eallison I had a week of throwing up all the time and now have settled to nausea and the odd wretching session. Different for everyone but it gets better soon for most people xx

ditzzy · 30/01/2015 07:42

First day all week back on the computer instead of the app.... my scan from saturday Grin measures 14.1 mm, 7 + 6.

She said the little bean is two thirds head which is the bottom end on the pic, with the tail curling up from the lefthand side to over the top. I think it looks like she her hands over her ears, but I know there's no hands yet really Grin (not that I think she's necessarily a girl - but I refuse to call my baby an it for the next few months!)

Jackieharris · 30/01/2015 07:50

I have my booking appointment today.

I was going to postpone it but it's making me so anxious I thought it'd be better to get it over with.

DP will be with me and I've briefed him on what the potential flashpoints will be. I'm not going to attempt to discuss last birth- it's just too traumatising.

I've rationalised that if it doesn't go well and I start feeling a panic attack coming on (this has happened at an antenatal appointment before) I am free to leave and under no obligation to sit there suffering. I'm focussing on that as a way of getting through it.

Treaclepie19 · 30/01/2015 07:55

Gorgeous pic dittzy :)

Well done for deciding to go jackie, it must be hard for you. Hope it all goes well and your strategies sound sensible :)

DeladionInch · 30/01/2015 08:01

Jackie my mW is coming to me. worth requesting?

alien11 · 30/01/2015 08:49

jackie I
Would also request mw to come to you. I asked as don't want dd (3.5) to sit in a room for up to an hr but they said they don't do home visits which is interesting as in the other county I had my dd in they did booking appts at home. Worth an ask.hope it goes well x

alien11 · 30/01/2015 08:50

dittzy so so cute!! What a pic!!

ditzzy · 30/01/2015 09:37

Thanks alien and treacle ! Grin

I've woken up with a ridiculous grin on my face today. I'm seeing a couple of friends tonight, and if I'm still grinning like this, I'm not going to be able to even pretend to hide the news (they knew we were planning to ttc). It helps that my shopping has just turned up and I'd forgotten I ordered a 1 kg pot of nutella (I never knew you could get pots so big!) and have resolved that I'm allowed to eat as much of it as I like now I'm pg Grin. Lets see how long before I'm back on here feeling sicky again...

squiish · 30/01/2015 09:39

Very nice pic ditzzy
So home all day because of nausea on Weds, went to work yest and felt a little better, today i have just saw my breakfast go down the toilet Sad being sick is one thing I really hate. I hope it's not going to be a regular thing as I cant cope with going to work feeling like this!!
Only 5 weeks today Blush

Snowflake15 · 30/01/2015 09:51

6 weeks today and finally gave in and booked my early scan! Wanted to do it on Saturday 14th as I'd be 8 weeks then but they were fully booked so had to do the Monday after! Booking a day of annual leave for it - hope no one asks why! Have to think of an excuse!
I found a clinic a ten min drive from me that does early scans for £80 so thought it was meant to be! Smile

Treaclepie19 · 30/01/2015 09:53

Haha sounds lovely dittzy :)
I'm going off chocolate.
Huge thing for me as I'm a major chocoholic.

Still having barely any symptoms though, baby is obviously being kind :)

ShootTheMoon · 30/01/2015 09:54

It is early days in my experimenting but it appears (tentatively) as if cutting back on carbs is helping my heartburn and nausea massively. Bread and pasta seem to be the worst culprits.

I am bloody starving within two hours of eating though Shock
