SadFlowers brickie
It's so hard not to wonder if everything is ok in there, why can't it be straight forward!

Still feeling sick today, but forced myself to work as it takes the mind off it slightly. Been sipping a can of 7up this afternoon to help.

Whatabout · 29/01/2015 15:43

I have a sonoline one.

What shoot says is absolutely true. I only used mine until I felt movement and then used that to make sure things were ok / needed a check.

Treaclepie19 · 29/01/2015 15:51

All is fine! :) Baby is in the right place. Dated as 6 weeks (I thought I was 6+4 but they said too small atm to know exactly) and saw a tiny flickering heartbeat :)

Chuch21 · 29/01/2015 15:52

I've finally convinced myself that early scans and dopplers etc really aren't going to make a difference to what happens to little bean... It would of course be lovely to be given that reassurance but for me that would only last five minutes!

Glad there's been some good news today Smile booking apt less than 2 weeks now... Doesn't time fly when you're living on ginger biscuits and lemonade Wink

gennibugs · 29/01/2015 15:55

eallison great news!!

treacle - that's wonderful news. Was hoping you'd pop on to update.

I think I'd be really scared to get a Doppler for the reasons shoot sets out below. I'm sure some people would find it useful though and whatabout sounds very sensible with it. Grin

We've decided to have an early scan though (previously wasn't) as lack of symptoms is starting to really worry me now.

ShootTheMoon · 29/01/2015 15:55

yey treacle that's awesome Smile

Right then ladies. I have just found myself retching over the toilet at work. This never happened with DD. I have a horrible feeling that carbs make my heartburn and nausea worse Sad. I didn't have to deal with this last time - so please advise! I like lemon and ginger tea, and peppermint tea, so they should help, right?

Fab news treaclepie Smile

mrsdos · 29/01/2015 15:58

So sorry to hear your news Brickie Thanks
Good to hear some happy news today as well.
I haven't had any more spotting since Tuesday but Monday cannot come soon enough, not sure if it's a good sign or not but as my cold has started to lift symptoms have started to reappear.

Whatabout · 29/01/2015 15:59

Great news treacle!

sebsmummy1 · 29/01/2015 16:00

Aaah fab news Treacle and eallison Grin

DoctorDonnaNoble · 29/01/2015 16:09

Nice one Treacle!

eallison88 · 29/01/2015 16:40

Had to explain to the head why I was 5 hours late to work. He was very lovely about it, but feel sorry for him as I'm number 9 since last sept! He did yell me that he won't get any maternity cover for my job while I'm off though. Which makes me feel unimportant and makes me wonder what the hell ill be returning to. Not my problem I suppose (not yet anyway!!)

It was so amazing seeing heartbeat! Only gotta wait another 6 weeks now! Seems to confirm edd (at this point at least ) of 24th Sept - my nieces birthday, which I think she'll love!

Really sorry about the bad news dome are having, you're all in my prayers xx

gicharlie17 · 29/01/2015 17:30

Am 9+1 today and have been feeling really tired and bloated with swollen boobs for a few weeks now but his morning woke up feeling great not tired, no bloating. I've been reading about MMC's and worries this has happened to me. Did a pregnancy test yesterday which was a good strong positive so maybe I'm just being paranoid. Scan for until 17/02. Wandering if I ring the docs if they will send me for an early scan.....anyone had any similar experiences?

NatalieBee · 29/01/2015 17:42

Gicharlie I mentioned the same thing further down with someone else! At 8/9 weeks the placenta kicks in and symptoms calm down! I had a scan with a heartbeat on Tuesday and the midwife reassured me it happens :) im still very pregnant and my symptoms aren't as strong as they have been since 5 weeks! Smile

NatalieBee · 29/01/2015 17:43

Woops forgot to say I am 9+2 Smile

SomewhereovertheRainbow02 · 29/01/2015 18:02

That's reassuring to know about the placenta kicking in around 8 weeks. I'm 8+1 today and symptoms have calmed down definitely over the last week.
boobs are still tender and I did have a sickly hour or so this morning but I can cope with that.
I can also stay awake til 10 pm now too! haha.

sebsmummy1 · 29/01/2015 18:14

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and symptoms are still strong. With my DS's pregnancy I got the same nausea but it started at 9 weeks and only lasted a couple of weeks. I'm really sick of feeling sick but also don't want it to stop as it gives me confidence. Total glutton for punishment.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 29/01/2015 18:17

Oh, I do hope the tiredness leaves soon - I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow and I am totally exhausted. First experience of retching at school this morning. Not fun, but not actually sick yet.

Chuch21 · 29/01/2015 18:35

doctor I was 7 weeks yesterday and am exactly the same... Exhausted, nauseas but not actually sick, counting my lucky stars really!

gennibugs · 29/01/2015 18:42

Ouch. My boobs are killing me today. Can't decide if it's more comfy with or without bra. They are also looking huge! I've only noticed and felt it today. Think I may have to go bra shopping this weekend...

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 29/01/2015 19:33

Evening, can I join in? 31 and 6+4 with first.

Have only told two people so far (other than DH), best friend who is now 15 weeks and oldest friend who is an obstetrician! Really paranoid about something going wrong. Horrible waiting game until the 12 week scan. Friend says that, all being well, they might ask me to have more regular scans as I'm quite tiny.

Been feeling generally ok except so bloated and really needed to burp today but can't (how glamorous!).

Maths88 · 29/01/2015 19:34

So I had my scan and there was a heartbeat!

Baby only measuring 7+3 but I thought I was 8+1 but he didn't seem too concerned. Seems a big gap to me but as sonographer was happy I am too.

Was amazing to see even though it only looked like a little blob. We've just told all the parents and they are ecstatic!

Treaclepie19 · 29/01/2015 19:38

Congrats maths!!! :)
It's beautiful to see isn't it?
I just keep thinking about it

Maths88 · 29/01/2015 19:38

It's so amazing!!

alien11 · 29/01/2015 19:41
